Somehow, the legend of edgar winter lives strong! He won a freaking grammy this year. Im only 15 and he is one of my favorite artists. that is a testement to how good he is.
The man has still got it . 100% perfection. Look at his face, he's loving every second of this. he moves around the stage like a young man , which at 61 years old I could not do if I tried . Keep it up Edgar !!!
I saw Edgar’s brother Johnny at the Dallas House of Blues in the early 2000’s when he had to be escorted on stage and perform from a chair. He never gave up rocking right up until he died. RIP Johnny Winter!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Just bought Edgar's new album, *Brother Johnny* . It's totally awesome! I first heard Edgar Winter's White Trash on the radio. Heard of Johnny prolly radio which maybe played Jumpin' Jack Flash or something.... Bought a 8-Track in a 7/11 parking lot in Dallas for $4 early 70's. *Johnny Winter - Austin Texas* Loved it. And bought Edgar's record *Jasmine Night Dreams* which i really liked soon after that.. Thank you Edgar and band for this fine performance!!! Dennis 61 years Marshall, Texas (via Dallas, Lubbock, and Austin :)
Edgar winter is awesome. At 75 is STILL rocking. Edgar should release this concert on cd/dvd. Frankenstein is the only song I would play when buying speakers. The song has everything in it. Edgar wrote a masterpiece that is still going strong today. Rock on edgar🎉
Saw the Edgar Winter Group back in the 70s in Charlotte N.C. They played so many encores that they had to bring the house lights up so people wouldn't keep holding their lighters up for more. We decided to leave our seats, climb over the rail and drop to the floor to get closer. Made our way to the front of the stage. Great memories.
I'm so happy my brother Robert found this gem. "Omg ", Edgar sounds frigging awesome looks fabulous too! DOING HIS BROTHER JOHNNY PROUD & DRUMMER CHUCK RUFF BLESSINGS indeed.. " Wow" He's got some great players with him too! His fans still dig him. Rock on Mr. Winters ...Blessings 🙏💜💥
Ah my precious youth. Edgar w Rick Derringer was my first concert - Life changing. I am filled with joy with this video. Look at Edgar ROCK! He and the band sound great!!!
Had the pleasure of watching this band perform LIVE a few weeks ago. I have not felt goosebumps of that magnitude since I heard the song for the first time.
I love that the universe saw fit to bless two Albino brothers with hair and skin white as snow with the surname "Winter"-- nothing builds a better brand than good old reality
I saw this show this spring. The whole band is fabulous. Seeing (and hearing) Edgar Winter and Warren Ham cover the horn arrangement from “Pick Up The Pieces” was really impressive. Greg Bisonette (drums) was fantastic. GO SEE “RINGO AND THE ALL-STARR BAND” !!!
I guess I remembered something else I should comment on here. Speaking of Edgar Winter, Johnny Winter, and Gregg Allman, Live on the Auditorium Shores of Town Lake, as it was called back then. It was '87!!! Great show by all, and all three jammed together at the end for sure! I got there's a bit late tho. I had to park over by Barton Springs Road, and it was a walk to the Shores/Stage. I felt so lucky, cause Frankenstein was blasting out it felt like over the whole city, since Edgar was playing First! I *jammed* all the way to the ticket gate! Fantastic! Never forget that! Dennis 61 Years Marshall Texas via Austin!.
Please protect Edgar winter at all costs our rock-and-roll we losing Our heros enjoy them while they still with us this music never be duplicating ever
Perfect examples of "DON'T RUST". keep moving...is there anyone on that stage under 65? I've been made deaf by this more than once by Mr Winter...nice to have another chance!
'They Only Come Out At Night' remains one of the very best LPs to come out of the 70s. I remember my older brother taking me to the record store at the local Mall, where he'd always purchase at least 2 or 3 albums at a time. (Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk, Allman Brothers, etc) On this particular day, we were browsing the racks and suddenly he pulled this one out. I took one look at the cover and said to myself No FUCKING WAY is he gonna buy this thing. I mean, it was beyond outrageous, even for 1972. Oh but he did. We got it home, he tossed it on the record player stack, and I was hooked hard. I mean, every single song on this album is over the top great. So good to see Edgar still pumping out the jams!
Brings back SO MANY MEMORIES! I saw Edgar Winter & Rick Derringer with his special guest brother Johnny and the lead on band was Rory Gallagher. Years later I saw Johnny play at a small Rock restaurant on Aurora in Seattle, Wa. in the 1980's
And, finally, something about this monster of rock and blues!!! I follow him by the sixties..no one in the world has same skill with keyboards and sax...must hear ALL about his collaborations with a lot of famous musicians...and then you'll understand his importance in modern music! LONG LIVE AND PROSPER
My list is not definitive, people feel free to correct me, I riffed on what the earlier posters started. I did not hear 'I Want You', maybe I mistook it for something else? That tune blew my mind when I first heard it as a teenager. 50 years later, IT (and Edgar) STILL DOES!🤘😎🤘
Me too Edgar and Johnny two of the most amazing musicians ok f my time. Mad talent. RIP Johnny.
It was a landmark song when it came out.
Saw him line in 1992. He played stratocaster, saxophone and drums throughout the song. So musically gifted.
I AGREE WHOLE HEARTEDLY 👍👍🎷
if Edgar ever smoked; didn't impair those lungs.
This guy is inspirational. God bless. I turn 72 later in the week. I hope that I can grow up to be just like him. HIS spirit is absolutely amazing.

I've said MANY times that THIS is the BEST INSTRUMENTAL TUNE of the rock and roll era!
Love you Edger 👍
My favorite song since I was 14. At 60 now, you still making grin with happiness and awww 😊
Thank you. 👍👍
Saw him on tour many years ago and this song literally tears up a coliseum. You leave his shows tired. MUST be seen live. What a show.
This number would be worth the price of admission on it's own. What an amazing collection of musicians!
Amazing collection of musicians yes. Edgar by himself is a collection of another half dozen musicians with all the Instruments he can play.
Just incredible to see Edgar still so energetic and happy onstage. Having Greg and Luke in the band certainly makes the music even better!

Can't help watching this whole thing with my mouth wide open and all my teeth showing! Teenager (or pre-teen) when I first heard it.
Saw him and Rick Derringer in the round, in the late 80s, in Latham New York.

This was a song was released when I was a youngster. I am now 53, and to this day... it's still a HOLY COW 🐮😀
