This sounds like paying for a re spray before it needs doing. For the cost/ammount of work involved, i'd rather put up with the stone chips until i occure enough to warrant a re spray.

@@riggs1590It won't be cheap to respray an F type due to the panels being all aluminium. If there's chips and they need filling it could lead to expensive problems. Id rather pay 4k for PPF that'll keep the main parts clean and also keep the car looking as new as possible. I don't want the car looking old while I own it. My daily driver has a load of stone chips on the front bumper and it looks horrible
Check this out, this is how to remove the gauges, you should then be able to figure out how to release the cowl m.ruclips.net/video/N4pdN8Jk7xU/видео.html&pp=ygUhRiB0eXBlIGRpZ2l0YWwgZGFzaGJvYXJkIHJldHJvZml0
Sorry but this whole protection spray coating is mad, I'm not convinced ! The Whole PPF idea was originally to only protect high impact damaged areas...........now its covering the whole car ! So instead of PPF this system paints a protection coating on the vehicle at fairly high cost, so Why if you are going to the trouble of stripping your car down as seen in the video to spray protection coating on it, then refinishing the stone chips with 2k paint is just as practical and cost effective. Don't think this will catch on if I'm being honest and the costs are climbing even higher.
@@larrysimon1if you want to drive it with chips for years before you can justify 5k sure. If on the other hand you want it to remain clean and shiny during ownership it's probably worth front loading the cost and enjoying it too

Totally agree.... definitely a good point when coming to sell a vehicle....might aswell have the panels resprayed b4 selling
Many many people PPF their cars to protect the original paintwork, this is what I am doing here

Do you have to do a paint correction beforehand If you do a clearcoat? I would assume if you put some tint in the spray that you would not.
It’s best to if the bodywork is poor, mine was excellent beforehand
where has your new front grille gone?!
lol, that was my V6, I have an SVR now,….keep up!
How much did it cost for the front end to be sprayed ?
It varies between sizes of cars but a job like this would be around £2800, best talking direct to automotive finesse for a quote for your car
can you show how to remove the instrument cluster cover off the gauges, i need to retuck the leather but i cant find any videos on how to remove it.
I haven’t done that before sorry
@@philscars do you think you can figure it out? you would be the only one with a video for it

@@philscars oh thanks! I think this should work!
So whats the best one, is it this? Or the mustang? Which one has been the best most fun?
you mean car wise? its the F-Type by far!!
Cheaper to get a good re-spray of plasti dip if you want to change the colour
Yea, like that will last!
Lasted on one of my cars for over two years until I peeled it off.
@@dj_notnicetwo years? Lol
I've had socks that lasted longer
@lag unlike your socks I chose to take it. I suggest you don’t leave your socks so long in future 🤢

@@philscars Exactly £ 5 K to PPF my SVR ..............Same as a Full respray.
