OS is not dead. Quick play is. Quick play was a very flawed gamemode. It’s what caused a lot of new players to quit, even at it’s peak. Normal and comp are where a majority of the players are.
It was cool to see you give the current version of OS a shot! I think the game is at peak playability right now, even with it's small playerbase these days. It was also cool to see that you were pretty quickly figuring things out and I agree that if you practice more you will get the hang of it.
Sadly the tutorial is pretty bad, so the easiest way to figure things out is to have someone coach you through the basics. QP is dead, so if you were to keep playing, try some norms.
Also, it may fit your content less, but playing with friends makes the game way more enjoyable.
In terms of positioning, the base strike is your most useful ability, so generally as goalie you want to move to where you can use your strike and save your cooldowns for when you otherwise can't strike the core/want to snipe a cheeky goal. Or, in the case of Vyce, when you want to kill somebody.
Oh! Thanks for the tips, that makes sense. And yeah, it's odd to see people care less about quickplay but that's cool to know there are more playing the other modes. It was rough at the start, but you're right I was figuring it out and it all started to come together!🙌
@poppinoftenwithlofton6036 here are some tips (from former diamond) if you plan on playing again 1.) Vyce is one of if not the most BROKEN striker in the game simply read her moves test in training mod and you'll understand 2.) DO NOT CORE CHASE this is the most valuable yet overlooked tip in the game instead look were the core is going and position yourself accordingly 3.) don't pass core to enemies always look were your team is open bonus tips.) every character has a literal THEM SONG most made by james landino, whoever does the the best for the round gets there theme played the the next round and so on. what you heard at the end of the game was ai.mi.'s theme (the cat girl) finnis has the best imo.your were playing quick play btw

I was hoping this game had a large player base, I played it 7 months ago and was gard into it and became upset and stopped playing once they said they were stopping development

Man these days the quick play is the longest queue by far, people just don't play that mode much anymore... 😂

I haven't played this but the style of the game looks cool. The gameplay however looks confusing and not very fun tbh.

Yeah Quickplay is kind of dead. Normals and ranked queues are significantly shorter. Ranked is also the only mode that provides balanced matchmaking as there is zero skill based matchmaking for normals and quickplay.
Not quite. There is a limited level of MMR in Norms as of a few months ago.
