I saw Marc Martel in concert he was absolutely wonderful, if I was blind I would have sworn on my life that Freddie was on stage. No disrespect to both Brian & Roger, but I truly have no desire to see Adam Lambert singing Freddie's songs.

Saw him with his band in 2021 live in Germany ...sounds much better then here. The first 30 Minutes we were all silent...tears in our eyes and our heart beates...couldn't believe that he sounds so near to Freddie. Its was a feeling that Freddie was there but we saw Marc. So crazy. We all celebrated him.❤

Marc Martel has a similar jaw form like Freddy Mercury and therefore can keep up with FM's vocal ranges. He also plays amazing piano and has his own band: Queen Extravagance a very successful band. He's from Quebec Canada. But nevertheless, Freddy Mercury is so unique - nobody ever got close to his karma and talent. Long live Queen and FM.
Marc’s band is One Vision of Queen. Every performer is unique. Every voice is unique. And Marc didn’t only get close to what Freddie did, but does what Freddie did at 2-4x the rate of shows per year and with much better consistency.
No one has said that, however, most of the tours of Marc's former band, and Queen's own Queen Extravaganza, have been in England. He probably doesn't want to compete with his former bosses as a gentleman. Queen Extravaganza has two singers now, something they didn't need when they had Marc. And although fans seem to be happy with QuEx, they are not what Roger envisioned would be the best Queen cover band, unless they get Marc back.

A good example is the two UB40's currently playing. One featuring Ali Campbell and the other, his brother Robin. I still have to check it's Ali if I get a chance for a ticket. For me, I'd rather close my eyes and listen to a great facsimile of Freddy, than the original guitarist and drummer with a front man giving a heartfelt karaoke performance. Horses for courses as they say. I once had a comment from someone that they'd rather listen to the real thing than a cover band. At no point did the other chap indicate that he was particularly skilful with a Ouija board so I refrained from pointing out the obvious 😄The remote arrangement sessions that Marc performed during lockdown, particularly the Under Pressure track gave me smiles and goosebumps in equal measures.
Marc needs 2 good back up vocals. Thats only thing missing. He needs the singers to jump in where the drummer and brain may jumped in. And that guitarist was bad

There is a small problem with the popular theory about May and Taylor only allowing gay men as their lead singers. They toured with Paul Rodgers as "Queen + Paul Rodgers" from 2004 until 2009.
