Indeed. I used to watch horror movies all the time, but then they got progressively dumber and dumber (with very few exceptions far in between). After coming across "Lights Out" and "Don't Move" I'm convinced that our mainstream horror movies are a joke.

I have a theory that “ Timothy “ isn’t actually real and the murderer was the boy. I think he has a disability and may have hallucalated or something and because the babysitter was so mean he killed her.

Every child needs to enjoy this at least once in their childhood. If you think about it of course, it can probably only happen once, but that's besides the point.
ALTER should just start making full length horror films at this point, their shorts are better than what Hollywood produces.
Another moral to the story: Don't hire a babysitter who screams profanities at your child and smokes in the house. (Should have had cameras installed as they look rich enough to me).
I'm guessing the parents just really didn't care. They do look like they have a nice house which tells me they have some stature of wealth that keeps them comfortable. Most likely the babysitter was very used to being there because even though she is obviously not supposed to smoke (she immediately tried to hide it when the boy comes into the room) she still lights one up anyways and I highly doubt it was the first time. Parents are prolly more worried about status and parties or just going out without their kid constantly, to even really care about the babysitter. As horrible as she was though, caving in her head still seems like a slight overreaction lol

When I was ten I saw this video because I found all horror movies boring and not scary. This was exactly what I was searching for. I was traumatized for two years. Now I'm 13 and I decided to watch it again. This time until the very end. Now I'm not scared for Timothy anymore because he never existed and the boy was the one who killed the babysitter. Hooray!
This was one of the most amazing short horror stories I’ve ever seen! I can usually figure out the ending midway but this one got me as it smacked me square in the face! Bravo!!🌹🌹

I have 2 theories:
1. the more accepted theory of Timothy being apart of the kid's imagination and the kid killing her himself.
2. Timothy is real and the kid has a similar thing to the one in dual. I'm leaning more towards this as the babysitter could see Timothy and was obviously frightened if it was just the kid walking out and saying weird stuff I doubt she'd be as scared as she appeared to be, she clearly looks up at Timothy instead of looking down at the kid prior to seeing Timothy. Also, when the police arrives there seems to be no blood on the kid only on Timothy.
Like I said It could the same deal with the kid in dual but I can't say for certain. Both kids seem to afraid of the violence at first but not opposed to it and by the end they both don't care. I don't wanna say it's a shared universe of anything but maybe the two are linked together somehow

@@nest2400 You notice how the babysitter was smoking earlier? She was on Drugs and excepted the child's claim that Timothy was there because of it. Probably smoking Silvia. She's tripping balls and thus she sees him as well,but that's just that the babysitter wasn't quite there at the moment either,hence why none of the cops see him. They're neither on drugs nor insane. Basically Timothy is just a sort of outward psychological projection that the babysitter believed in as well due to her altered state.
