  • I DO NOT own this audio! All rights belong to Nintendo!
This was my first exposure to both Metroid and the Wii U back in 2012, and now Metroid is one of my favorite game series and the Wii U is my favorite console. I guess Nintendo Land accomplished what it was suppose to...

Happy 10 years to this game and Nintendo's most underappreciated system! Reminder to all Wii U owners that the eShop closes next spring, so be sure to check this game out if you haven't already

Nintendo Land is actually the game that led me to discover Metroid! I first heard the name 'Metroid' when my older brother played the opening of Super Metroid, but I was 6 or 7 back then. In 2012, we got this game, I loved the Metroid Blast campaign. It got me to understand the basics of Metroid, and I was hooked! I remember a year later buying Metroid Other M and being so excited as I played that game! I then purchased Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and I was fully invested into playing the series!
I just recently finished playing Dread a second time. I wouldn't have gotten there if not for Nintendo Land!

I love Metroid too! The one theme I love from Metroid is Brinstar (NES/Zero Mission). It's a great theme and song.

Same here. I never even knew what Metroid was in 2012, but I’d go to that spot in the plaza where you could change the music and I’d listen to the Metroid tracks because they really outdid themselves with these arrangements. I ended up playing Prime 1 and then the rest of the games in order and loved it. Now that I’m a huge Metroid and Alien fan, I come back to listen to this for nostalgia and sick tunes :)

@@agentgizzel Indeed. NES Brinstar is the best version of Brinstar I've ever heard in my life when I play Metroid. I think of Samus when I hear this song. What also captures the feel of this tune is the adventurous march in the rhythm. It's so good! And now that you mention Alien, I think Samus and Ripley would be a badass team! Well, aside Samus and Doomguy of course.

This theme is probably so popular since it got reused and remixed so many times, including the theme of chozodia in zero mission, this is single handedly what got me into getting dread for the switch, and playing fusion on the eclipse iOS emulator
