    Wow, been watching many solo home construction vids over the last 6-7 years. That is the longest sustained hard work effort I've seen yet.

    Well, time for weekly comments...I was wondering why you didn't want to grow bodybuilder muscles while lifting all tbose buckets, but with the re-appearance of the designer sweatshirt, I realized it wouldn't fit anymore. 😂
    Ya know, maybe you should immortalize it by stuffing a few shreds in the last of the basement wall. Lol.
    Seriously, your ingenuity is 100% even if your balance is not...😊😊

    Tha concrete trough was a great idea and time saver! Also, check the manufacturer's cure time prior to applying waterproofing material, then waterproof and then add that cure time to then filling in dirt for a new working level for you. Are you going to add a plastic barrier also? God bless you and your family and take care from your California subscriber 🙏 🙌

    • @DemasiLogCabin
      @DemasiLogCabin  2 месяца назад +1

      Thank you! Yes, waterproofing hopefully this week, then foam board insulation over that, and a drain on the footer, then backfill! Can wait! Thanks for the comment! Have a great week!

    Brilliant solution to core filling the block. I was wondering how you would accomplish that. Nicely done on the block laying for never have done it before. Can't wait to see the house going up again. I assume you know not to back fill until you have the joists and deck in place. Sorry, the dad in me is coming out!!

    In my area bags of concrete come on yellow pallets. I think the company is Sakrite. They are worth $25.00. The home center charges a additional $25 when you buy a pallet. When you take it back you get your money. Last time I bought a pallet I wasn't charged for a pallet. I did take it back and get my $25. I spend alot of $ there and didn't feel guilty

    • @DemasiLogCabin
      @DemasiLogCabin  2 месяца назад +1

      I think I ordered enough that they didn’t charge me which is nice, but I’m approaching 30 pallets now which is a crazy amount!! 😀

    Hey McGiyver ,I like the inventions!! Alot of progress!! Fun watch!! So,when you get ready to put in in pipes for septic will you have to tunnel under the wall?best of luck!!

    • @DemasiLogCabin
      @DemasiLogCabin  2 месяца назад +1

      Very much appreciated! Thank you! I’ve buried a 8 inch pipe sleeve under the footing prior to the pour, so I should be able to dig that up when the time comes and run the septic pipe right through, just have to remember where I put it! Haha 12 feet from the front… I hope 😀
