My class was 1992, B.A from Letters, Arts and Sciences (now Dornsife). I later received my Masters in Education from Brandman in Orange County. USC has changed dramatically from the day I walked the campus. Remember, I was there during the Rodney King Riots (humvies rolling across campus). I wish they would have had a Graduate Student conduct the tour. I feel I'm being led around by a "valley girl". As for the best place to study, it's Doheny in the "stacks" beneath the library.

It’s not too bad. There’s a lot of security patrolling the city off and on campus. Also, the Lyft system allows students to get around safely, instead of walking around at night. Best advice is to have common sense, be alert, and don’t go out alone at night.

usually, american universities don’t give out scholarships to international students unless and until they are very poor, i.e yearly income of around $30k or something and have an extraordinary resume- fantastic grades in a difficult curriculum (IB, A levels) and a high SAT/ ACT score along with good sports or music extracurriculars at a state/ national level. hope this helps :)

My mom’s friend went to a private school and her daughters were easily accepted but stayed in AZ. Different ways to get in college 🙄

@@mariaaudiovisual5510 I was living in Seattle at the time. I had attended a semester at University of Washington using my GI Bill. But I wanted to transfer to get out of Seattle. So I applied online to three different schools - one of which was USC. The process at USC was much longer than the process at TCU (where I ended up going) and Tulane. USC was also about $80 more expensive than the others just to apply. But I had to gather all of my old academic records, test scores, and a list of all of my extracurricular activities. I sent those to USC admissions along with my online application, and waited for a little over a month before I received an acceptance letter. My test scores weren’t the highest, but my grades throughout high school and college, my military experience, my extracurricular activities, my volunteer service, and my recommendations from my professors and former bosses was MORE than enough to get me accepted. Honestly, I think USC cared less about my test scores than the other two places. But at the end of the day, I chose TCU over the other two schools. It was challenging, but I wouldn’t change a thing about my experience. Fort Worth just felt safer and way more like a college environment than USC or Tulane. In fact, I put USC at the bottom of the list, mostly because of how urban and unsafe it felt. I didn’t get a good vibe from there. It was also the most expensive school - not that TCU was cheap, by any means. But USC was more expensive than the other two. That, combined with the cost of living in Southern California made USC my last choice. Academics-wise, I got just as great and respected of an education as Tulane and USC. Tuition is around 60k but Cost of attendance is like 80k.(per year)
But i heard they have good financial aid
