      I could find none at first. This changed as I continued to practice. In a way, doing visualizations helped heal my past, too. A couple things that helped me - pick a memory and focus only on the positive aspects of it. Magnify good things about it and edit any negative out. You can make up any part of rounds- the goal is to engage the 5 senses and create an image in your mind. In addition to editing I have completely made up rounds or used the same positive one over and over and over again.

I have watched a few videos from various people on these course, but no one seems to break down what they actually entail, is it simply visualizations like the one above, or is there more to it? If it is just the visualization how does that deregulate the nervous system? Thanks! :)

    Hei. I was just curious about your neck curve. What kind of neck curve issues did you have and what kind of weight/exercises did you do to correct it?

    • @wendyoswalt
      @wendyoswalt 11 месяцев назад +1

      If you have the money to buy a cervical pump I recommend that and follow the directions that come with it. You can also roll up a towel or use a 3 inch foam roller and put it under your neck, done correctly your head should tilt back a little, you can start off at a few minutes and work your way up to 15 mins. Apply ice if your neck gets sore. You'll want to start out daily for a month or 2 and then u can do it less often to maintain results. Watch your forward head posture as that is the leading cause of the neck curve either straightening or even starting to curve the opposite way (which is what I had going on). Whiplash can also cause that. I've worked in a Chiropractic office for 11 years and been the xray tech for 8. I also had xrays taken of my own neck during the process and have proof that u can change it and even lose the change with neglect 😂 hope this helps 😊

    • @HealingWithRachael
      @HealingWithRachael  Год назад +3

      That's really exciting!! They definitely have a lots of similarities. There are things I like better about DNRS than Gupta and vice versa. I'm hoping to share a video comparing them in the coming months. I'm still glad I started with DNRS, but I think it depends on the person (some resonate more with Gupta). I say go with whatever you feel most drawn to. I believe both programs have a free trial with the first few modules as well. You can't go wrong with either 😊 I'm rooting for you!!

    Hello! :)
    What do you think about / what is your opinion on the approach Linnea Passaler's "The Nervous System Solution" specifically and Irene Lyon's "21 Day Nervous System Tuneup"?
    Hard to know which to choose.
    Hard to get a birds eye view and know which one is the best - hopefully containing both up-down / down-up approaches, and nervous system regulation / somatic pratices and brain retraining.
    Thanks! :)

    Hi Rachael,
    I love your visualisations.
    In the brain training programs do they suggest that you make up the meditations yourself and say them out loud?
    I think this would be helpful for me as I do really like listening to meditations?

    Great video. What I really wish I knew was whether brain retraining can regenerate the peripheral nervous system. Neuro plasticity in the cns is mostly taking the cells that are there and boosting the number of ligand receptors, changing the synapse patterns and enlarging surviving cells. But say for the vagus nerves, you can enlarge them by hypertrophy of surviving fibres and remyelination gif damaged fibres but that can only go so far. You’d need to truly regenerate new neurons and have them track successfully through the body to all the effector tissues. Officially this doesn’t really happen. Some of the afferent fibres can but not the efferent. But then again… many things that we are told are impossible, are indeed possible.

    Thank you so much for sharing Rachael ! I have no clue why, but your vizualisation made me cry for some reason. Does that happen to you sometimes?

    • @HealingWithRachael
      @HealingWithRachael  Год назад +3

      Yes, that definitely happens to me sometimes! Actually, the first time I listened to a brain retraining visualization (someone had shared a DNRS example on youtube) I started crying. It was when I knew brain rewiring was what I needed. ❤️️ There have been times when I've cried through most of my visualizations, too. Crying can be a sign of a somatic release, which is a sign your body is releasing stored trauma. Hoping all the best for you, Lizzie!

    So I listened to the story but how is this supposed to work?

    • @HealingWithRachael
      @HealingWithRachael  10 месяцев назад +1

      Visualizing yourself healthy and joyful signals safety to the brain, which helps guide the nervous system to a parasympathetic state where healing can actually take place. The brain doesn’t know the difference between visualization and reality, so it’s very powerful for healing.

    I also have done both of these programs. Still on my healing journey. I always appreciate hearing visualization. I got kind of burnt out on them and I’m just now getting back to them as part of my tools. Maybe a recommendation for your next one if you don’t mind? This one was way too fast for me. Maybe you were just intending it as a example, and not a guide. I kind of wanted to go there with you, but it was just too much too fast. I really have to pause and FEEL each moment. I’d love to hear more! Thankyou for sharing so many free resources❤
