I liked the last camera angle of you shifting mud, it gave a real perspective to the size and volume of just how much needs to be moved. Amazing how much you have managed to do so far.
Always great too see smiles on people's faces Chris 👍🏼🇺🇸 & Tim 👍🏼🇺🇸 absolutely love the videos Chris from Jennifer Australia 👍🏼🇦🇺 absolutely love the videos 👍🏼🇺🇸
I rarely do any dirt work but really enjoy this channel because I like the learning aspect of the craft. I’m kinda a jack of all trades but master of none. 😂
thats hat happens when not enough work, here right now construction if every were and they are floating rentals in from down east every week, to keep up
WOW! What a large piece of land. Looks like over several hundred acres could be involved.. it'll look really nice when Chris gets through with it, I 'm sure.
I’m a big fan of your videos and what never ceases to amaze me, even after working in this business, is how some people think if it’s cheaper, it’s better. There’s an old slogan that never loses it’s meaning: “You get what you pay for.” My old boss always used to say that cheaper is more expensive, because then you have to bring someone else in to do it right. That seems to be the case here.
That’s a fact. My dad does dirt work. I can’t tell you how many times he has given someone a price. Only to have them say oh that’s high. Then they hire the cheap guy. Then call my dad to come fix what the cheap guy did. Oh they usually pay the cheap guy more then what my dads bid was to begin with. Cheap isn’t always better!!!!
After watching your videos for a few months... I see how your mind works when organizing what your going to do and what is being done. And without pointing out what the last contractor did... I could see the mismanaged mess. :D Honestly...watching you work is an artform. :) Please keep up the great work and hope you had a Merry Christmas.
I think this is where you would need some earth conveyor belts to move the earth up to the dumper trucks. Only downside is you would need a lot of dumper trucks at once So many projects sir... Thank you for sharing
Wow! That is a huge mess! We new it would be when you went in and cleaned out all the trees. Looks like the original contractor sent guys out there with little supervision!
Chris tip to you if your not going to use the equipment for a two weeks or more. I would disconnect the + pole of the batterie so there is not a drain on the 24v and you always have enough battery power.
I have 1000plus hours on a mini excavator digging over water lines gas lines etc. But still I learn from you with the bigger machines. My rubber tracked kubota doesn’t exactly suffer from sliding down hills
The smooth motions of that excavator and the ability to keep grade likes has me mesmerized. I wish i had that kinda talent... need to find someone in NC to do similar type work on some property we acquired...
it's very common in the Housing industry as well. Independent contractors suck you out of as much money as they can an disappear. As long as they completed some work it usualy never ends up in court. Mike Holmes has made a Living fixing these morons messes.
That is why you only pay them as you go. Never pay for much more than materials upfront if you can make it work. They need motivation to come back for the money.
Enjoyed you commentary as much as you operating the digger bro. Makes ya wonder if the previous guys had any idea of what they were doing. Made a great video anyway. That bucket is sure bigger than your resent 220 purchase. Stay safe guys
You have the patience of Job to be wading out on those mats, picking through sticks strewn all over in that mud, and then having to move those piles several times just to then load it into a truck one scoop at a time!
Love your videos. Thanks for giving us a peek into your world. I know it’s a lot of work. Question... When you have a large job and such soft ground, is there a bigger bucket available that would be more efficient? More volume per swing?
Hey Chris even thou you are cleaning up and fixing what the other people messed up on. i can say for a fact that you'll do i Right and it'll look awesome when its all done. I know it'll be many videos but from a before and after completion everyone will be able to tell that it was done by professionals and not someone that has no idea what their doing. Keep doing what you do Chris and im always waiting for the next video
Was wondering if anyone else noted the new tire.... that still has a sticker on it!!😉 Equipment World has a good article about mismatched tires = uneven torque loading of differentials = broke parts... but it was sponsored by a tire company....
Buy a couple of solar powered trickle /float chargers and some battery disconnects if you're going to leave equipment sit for 3 weeks or more. Even good batteries loose power just sitting connected. Well done though 👍🏻
Damn Chris it don’t seem like it’s been two months ago that you were there taking them trees down but anyway brother you and Tim and John y’all stay safe and keep them coming brother
Tim, you are so "smooth" with that bucket. You could probably win money like the old guy I used to work with. He had been a backhoe operator for many years and won lots of money from people betting them he could pick up a sheet of paper with his bucket. The "great unwashed public", would of course take the bet. Then he would plug his ears to protect them from the yelling after he waved the bucket just barely over the sheet of paper, creating a draft and curling the paper right into the bucket! Maybe sometime you could show...!
It's easy to see that everyone is not as neat and orderly as Chris. One of the main reasons that you have as much work as you do is, You do it right the first time. It's better and cheaper in the long run!!!
It looks really nice :o) - they maybe couldn’t get haul trucks because they don’t pay because they get chased off job sites? The plant hire company I worked for was on the stop with everyone all the time :o
A curious question. What is the actual problem with diggin down the logs and stumps as the previous contractor did? Wont they rot down and become soil?
It's a terrible thing for all involved in this hole project from the homeowner designer to the other contractor to you Chris I greatly appreciate how when very little you spoke of the other contractor you didn't trash them that truly has shown us how decent you are young man I'm so proud of you I'm around contractor almost everyday and how they all just bash other people weather contractor or not they run at the D beaters about how and where and why lol appreciate you your work abilities but bottom line especially with me it's the way you are the way you speak the way you present yourself lol like if a guy walks in with pants that hang down showing assets everyone knows what I mean boom no job great video Thumbs Up My Friends
Always alway check for oil on something that was parked for a few months like that. My reason is because there may not be any in it. Some dirty thing might have drained it or filled it with sand

@@RockBrigadeCommunityForum yha. I know. But that never seeme to stop a the right group of teenagers from smashing shit. Or painting stuff. For shits and giggles. Happens alot. Just stating from a fellow heavy equipment owner
What I see is they hauled from another job site dirt in. Build this clay road up to thick before compacting which made it the way it is. Also who ever run the blade didn't know how to crown a road. And I am very positive for all the additional dirt they charged the customer for no reason.
Question for you. Why do you dig and pile up instead of starting with truck close and fill as you go to reduce moving twice? Also why not use a bulldozer or some other larger earth mover to reduce time on the job? Just wondering, love your videos.
The muddy ground does not allow the heavy trucks to leave the road. This is the south eastern United States with soft sandy soil. As you can see there is always water running and soaking the already soft soil. A bulldozer could possibly push the soil closer to the road but can't load the truck assuming it didn't get stuck in the process. An excavator can move the earth and load the truck.
I'm from Canada and I love these videos, but I just want to know why ponds are so popular around there? Are they for swimming or water storage?? Any replies from anyone would be great! Thank you!!

I really LOVE watching you work. A master on the excavator.
Always Love watching your pond builds , great job Chris

You manoeuvr those machines like they are extensions of your body. Lovely to watch
Great to see a well kept cab that's clean and well kept.. Like the little brush for sweeping out the dirt same as myself 😂
I rarely do any dirt work but really enjoy this channel because I like the learning aspect of the craft. I’m kinda a jack of all trades but master of none. 😂
That’s a lot of equipment to have sit for a couple of months. My uncle in the trucking business always said “equipment rich, money poor” 😄
Luckily Guins fully owns all their equipment so it is not too big a problem when it sits idle.
Trevor Dennis Thats still money sitting there not producing more money. At least rent the equipment out for some income?
thats hat happens when not enough work, here right now construction if every were and they are floating rentals in from down east every week, to keep up

The cost for transport is the main reason mosh machery stay put as to move it from one job and back is costly.

I was wondering when this job was coming back. Almost didn't recognize the 30 tonner with that shiny tire on it!
I don't know about the rest of y'all, but this guy's channel is my new crack! Kids say they are going to ship me off to rehab this week!
Tusen takk for videoen. 👍🤗👍🇸🇯

there is an entire industry supported by others mistakes. Look at the Jobs Guins have done over the years fixing peoples mistakes.

Plenty of work is good for the pocket book, you are doing a real good job.
Starts well considering the excavator I mean not the moxi .
Thanks for sharing been waiting for you to get bacteria to this job ! Love Dan building

Nice looking back tire
For $20 or $30 you can buy a small (maybe 16" x 16") solar panel to connect to the battery to keep it charged.

Nice smooth work!!
Must be so frustrating having to go in and fix another company's bad work. Great job!

New to your channel. I must say, you make it look easy
Man, you leave your Tonka toys laying everywhere
Haul truck needs a solar powered battery tender.
plus a battery kill switch and extra cup holder
Those are great. Have to keep an eye on the water level in the battery though. They tend to drop with the constant charge for weeks on end.
Very nice job Chris
I've been around a lot of operators and you're one badass dude

Thats the cleanest the haul truck has ever been as far as j can remember
and he washed it
I smiled when I saw this video pop up :) keep em coming!

Came across your channel today. Would be nice to have drone footage too
Well you made a helluva difference in that mess already
This is 1 hell of a Huge job chris 👍
What a lot of mess you can hear the wood in the dirt braking as you dig. Out side shot shows how much you where digging out. Thanks for the vidio.

Yes. He has a couple of buckets I believe.
They left the price tag on that new tire. Ha Ha
good candidate for the screening machine in a few months to get the wood debris out of it
You should do a machinery and farm tour
Robert should I agree
If it was dry.
Chris went up the creek and almost didn't make a back. Chris is a creek survivor. Lol God bless

Yep when it went flat
Was wondering if anyone else noted the new tire.... that still has a sticker on it!!😉 Equipment World has a good article about mismatched tires = uneven torque loading of differentials = broke parts... but it was sponsored by a tire company....
Right rear tire is low on the of road dump truck. Bring service truck with air. :) You do a good job.

Good stuff Chris!
You sure have some nice equipment . On top of that enough equipment to be able to leave some at a different job for 2 months.
Are you going to get the cab of the new Volvo tinted just like the otherone?
hey Chris. ... how much material do you get pre bucket??
Always alway check for oil on something that was parked for a few months like that. My reason is because there may not be any in it. Some dirty thing might have drained it or filled it with sand

VOLVO WORKING STRONG 💪💪
It Pays to Hire a Contractor that knows Exactly how to Efficiently use the Equipment he Owns. 👍
Sometimes you wonder, and sometimes you know, and sometimes you wonder if they know! Wow what a mess.
You need to invest in a heavy duty conveyer belt system if you continue doing these projects. It would ease the wear and tear on your equipment.
Cold start in 2020🤗
How can you afford to leave the equipment without work for so long? Transportation cost?
you should put terra tires on the haul truck . then you would not have to worry about getting it stuck
