Stock electronics are extremely efficient 👀. Big props to ARRMA and Horizon for updating the Firma ESC programming and the DX3 controller 👍. No lag and very solid control. Damages: found a busted front brace rod end. Stock chassis is still bowed since bash #1. Front shock shafts bent sometime after doing wide out ramp sends (were straight prior). Also stretched a rear shock rod end rather noticably. Highly recommend running M3 droop screws under the arms. Impression: this rig is actually very tough in stock form 👀. For regular hard to extreme use, M2C Racing 7075 T6 upgrades will be the solution. 🍻
Hey Can you tell me also how do you tell when the atterys are getting g low ,is there some sort of warning so you don't over discharge them to.low I have had planes before which you have to just time but do these cars have a warning so you don't have to set a timer
@@craigdixon7881 yes indeed. The ESC has LVC (low voltage cutoff) settings. The car's power will suddenly reduce noticably upon hitting LVC. That's the time to stop and swap Lipos. 👍
No Arrma is ever “TOO FAST” RICH 😎😎 So glad the air quality and visibility isn’t as bad anymore brother 👀 and continues to get better for us 👊🏼 really can’t wait to get out there and pull some crazy stunts with our rigs again 🤟🏽
Amen on the air quality Brother Dave 🤗!!!! Between the ruthless heatwave and fires, getting outside just wasn't the same. No such thing as too fast 🤣🤣. Thought that was funny 😸. Hope we can hook up again soon Bro. Definitely looking forward to it. 🍻😎💪👊👊
I’ve been out of the hobby for a couple years. Holy card these rigs are nuts now! 8s outcast? Wow. Still with the killer content, Rich! Pulled out my Kraton and Typhon today and they look pretty good. I few weeks they be ripping again soon.✌️
Killer bash buddy, She was flying! Was wild and crazy like I'm used to seeing the 6s Outcast being.... Which is fantastic for this big girl. I love the spool setup from your limitless.... Great idea Rich! Seems to take full advantage of the stock system without heat issues, and I'm sure it was quite warm out there. I know some are wanting to drop a Max 5 in theirs but you know I will be rocking the stock system in my O8S for a minute, so good to see this thing can go pretty bananas on stock electrics and just gearing. You drop a bigger can in there Rich and you should be good for what I know your going for 😂😜🚀🚀🚀 Them high speed sand passes... Just not fair.... I miss them Cali Beaches.... So easy to find sand spots even away from the beach! Pulling some big doubles already brother.... I'm headed out the door with my M2Cified O8S right now for her firts bash, 8s here I come😜😢 Well 🚀🚀 it anyway.... Thats my thoughts 😂 Thanks for sharing brother.... Stay safe
Thanks so much Dennis 🤗!!!!! Had such a Killer time back at Folsom Lake 😍. So grateful the air cleared up a bit from the smoke and ash. Big Red did great with the 23/39 gearing. No cogging or lag down low. Most of my temps were about 140-150F motor, 120-130's ESC 👌. I'm super impressed with the stock electronics and DX3. Felt great to hit some bigger jumps off the ramp and hammer her over the mixed terrain 😍. Lots of rocks and deep ruts the GoPro doesn't show. She handles fantastic for her size. Looking forward to giving her the M2C beefcake treatment soon 💪. Hope you have a great first bash Brother!!!! 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
Might have to try that spur gear rich. I live in New York so we dont get crazy temps like you guys. Always bring my temp gun with me as well. Some newbies on the arrma site need to buy a temp reader.
Yeah it's important to keep the temp gun handy. Especially anytime doing a gearing or even a wheel swap. I really like these Limitless spool gears 👍. They're cheap yet extremely durable and allow lots of different pinion options when running lower KV high torque setups. No need to have ridiculous sized pinions with these smaller spur options. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Zeee batteries seem legit. Running 6000mah 80c 3s ×2 in Serpent 811te. Only 1 cycle in so jury still out, but plenty of punch, great speed, runtime was less than expected..... my 2s 5000mah 50c Protek graphenes are awesome!
Zeee packs seem great for the price especially 👍. My runtime was pretty good with solid punch. That said, the Yowoo graphene packs just scream 😱. I'm starting to think it's simply a better technology. Held off cuz of the extra weight most graphene packs add, but these suckers are light. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Brother 👊. Awesome to see ARRMA listened to feedback with the diff tuning and reprogrammed the stock ESC 👍. I'm impressed the stock electronics handled this gearing so well 👀😎💪👊👊
Thanks Brother 👊!!! Yeah she's fast with just the 23T "speed" pinion. This setup definitely notched the top end up another level 👀. Love Folsom Lake 🥰🥰. This is my relax and unwind bash spot. 😎💪👊👊
Rich, What would you recommend I upgrade before using my OutKast 8s? Suspension arms? If so what brand and material, Shock towers Alloy? Better shocks? If so brand? Replace the center aluminum brace tubes with better quality ones? What about them Pillow Ball things? What are they even? Should I leave the motor stock and esc? Gears? If so brand and sizes? Servo? I’d like to be able to use this truck without constantly tearing it down all the time lol. Thanks
Awesome stock bash Rich! Arrma made some good changes with the V1.5 K8S and now the O8S! I also found the stock system to be really good 👍 Loved the stunt action 🤩
Thanks so much Brother Aaron 😜!!!! Yes indeed about the changes 👀. They quietly beefed up the arms, went to carbon steel diff screws, made a subtle hardware improvement on the servo saver arm, and the ESC power delivery 👊. The new bracing is holding great 👀. Very happy with the DX3 controller too. Props to ARRMA and Horizon for listening and taking action. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks Brother 👊. The 39 and 34T Limitless gears are both great depending on your motor and pinion setup👌. This 23/39 set-up gets the stock system moving nicely. 😎💪👊👊
Good to see the stock electrics are plenty strong on that gearing. From that video, I doubt most people could ever use the extra power for aftermarket esc/motor
For sure Brother 👊. I'm super impressed with how this rig moves after simple gearing changes 👀. Higher torque setups can help off jumps with minimal run-up, but this system has respectable, very usable power. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks Brother 👊. Yeah I knew it would be after testing the M2C Racing Crusher 8s setup 😍. The K8s really only livens up with a high torque motor swap. Even then, the SWB version is fairly nuts by comparison. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Just picked up a leftover outcast for $600 bucks at my lhs🤯🤯 he's been sitting on it for some time and pretty much gave it to me 😍 I just installed a limitless spool as well, gonna leave this one with stock electronics. Got an 800 kv in my K8 and 980 in my O8 EXB. Should have all bases covered now with the big girls ☺️🫡 (XRT has been sold. Can't keep that thing together)
Congrats on scoring a Killer deal Brother 😱!!! Don't blame you with the XRT. Traxxas always exaggerates the durability of their rigs. It's taken great patience and persistence to test M2C parts with mine. Enjoy your new ride 🍻
I did buy them monster Gens Ace 11,000 mah lipos for this OutKast but was told I couldn’t run them that it would be to much esc overload or something. So I sold them with my built Xmaxx. Them things were gigantic! Would of probably got a long run time. I suppose I could order them bashing ones in a smaller mah. Or try your suggestions for lipo brands.
I just tried the Graphine in my xrt perfect fit lots of power. Keeping her stock but I already have the max 6. I try to break it before i upgrade. Allows me to have more cars.
Thanks so much Avery 👊!!!! Absolutely LOVE Folsom Lake 😍 and this Beast is quickly becoming a favorite 👀. She's easy to obsess over 🤣. Appreciate the kind words Brother. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
Love the videos Rich - just subscribed...! Bought a Typhon 6S V5 a few days ago, along with a full set of components to truggify out of the box... (including Badlands MX28s). Wondering what truck you'd recommend to follow next - maybe an Outcast 8s? What do you guys think? Cheers everyone and keep bashin'...
@@richduperbash2966 Thanks Brother! 👊You're absolutely right - Kraton EXB roller ordered! Now just need to decide on the electronics and whether I need an 8s-capable ESC, just for the future...hehehe 😈 Might go with the combo you tested in yours recently... 🤙💪😎😎 Thanks for what you bring to the community Rich!
Thanks so much Mike 🤗!!!! I try to get more side shots, but it's more difficult to actually hit the ramp right from that vantage point 🤣. I've had some harsh ramp shavers too 👀. Really appreciate it Brother. 😎💪👊👊
@@BigYahrell916 unfortunately the pump track was leveled last October for development by new land owners 😝. I really like the Proline MX buggy wheels. 🍻
AWESOME Big Red bash Brother Rich!!😱She is rippin it up hard with that gearing setup! Great idea!👌That's an awesome place too to go ballistic WOT!😍These big rigs need big space for sure! Killer ramp hits too! Love the sound of her chassis slapping! Such a thunderous thing!😂😂The stock system is definitely capable! I was on the fence of leaving it in but on full disassembly to install all the M2C beef, I had to go ahead and throw in the 5687!😜 Hoping to test that shortly! Amazing run and great tips! Take it easy bro!😃👊🍻🤘🤘
Thanks so much Brother Eric 😜!!!! So happy the 39T worked out. I had a 25T show up, but 23/39 seems like plenty 👀. I was stoked to see temps stay reasonable and still have lower end grunt. Lots of wheelspin off the ramps too. Top speeds are probably a bit higher, but I was more interested in saving juice to rip the beach area up 😍🥰🥰. Big Red is such a Killer platform 👊. Had so much FUN hammering off the ruts, rocks, and uneven sand mounds 😂. Got lucky the lake water levels dropped again for some terrain rips. Normally this huge parking area and beach is submerged. Super impressed with her handling 😱. Definitely looking forward to going full M2C beefcake with ridiculous power 🤣🤣. Gotta hand it to ARRMA though. Even in stock form Big Red is extremely fast and capable. Hope you got out today Brother. Appreciate the kind words as always. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
What an awesome bash with the Outcast8s Rich. She is stunning out there under the bright sun 🌞. Wicked rips and flips. Seems like your gearing setup is Money with the stock system bro. Hauling some good Speed on straightaway passes. You were able to pull off those doubles without a sweat on Stock system. What a huge difference compare to Kraton8S V1. Knowing it's same system. Temps were on the higher sides but the setup seems spot on for sure Bro. Props to Arrma once again for one hella truck. Stay safe and bash on brother.
Thanks so much Brother Chris 🤗!!!! Can't get over Big Red's body outside 👀. Looks so sick in the sunlight. Heck she looks good everywhere 😂. Definitely moving nicely and sounds a bit meaner with the Limitless spool gear. Did a second check on temps and got 120-130F ESC and 148 motor. I think the wheelspin in the sand probably raised them a bit 🤔. Regardless, still aways from the danger zone. Definitely way more wheelspin in the air now 👍. Props to ARRMA for such a Killer job with this Beast. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Looks to me like the best setup to get most out of the Combo! Good Job! 👍 Looks so more lively then Team-T's X Truck to me, I have to test drive one some day. Are you interested in testing a full set of my Carbon Fiber Parts for the 6S line that I showed in my two last videos? 😘😘😘 and stay smoke free and safe!
Thanks so much Kimberly 😍!!!! This 23/39 gearing setup definitely woke Big Red up 👀. I'd never pick the XMaxx over this. Not badmouthing, just personal preference I guess. The handling alone is just on another level 😋. Watched your vids last night 😱. Looks absolutely incredible my dear Basherqueen 🥰 🥰. Putting those CNC skills to work. I'd definitely be interested in trying out your CF goodies. Probably go perfect on my Outcast LE 6s 🤔. Already running the M2C lightened Speed chassis and they'd take it to another level of agility I'm sure. Keep up the Fantastic work!!!! Truly impressive. 😘😘😎💪👊👊
You bet Jason 🤗. Thanks for another grand slam with the 08s 😍. This rig is the real deal. Really appreciate your tireless efforts to push our hobby further with these fantastic designs. The Fun factor is simply off the hook 😂🍻😎💪👊👊
Wow how did that not break, it must be much tougher than the k8s? Those roles that landed straight on the arms would have written the k8s off, this sure looks like a great platform, surprisingly stable for a short wheel base vehicle. Wishing you and your State some reprieve, with a terrible season just gone by in Australia, we pray for your fire crew's safety and for some decent rain.
Thanks so much Brother 👊. Really appreciate your comment 🙏. Been a rough year with everything going on worldwide and here. I'm super impressed with the O8s. ARRMA did a running change and beefed up the stock arms some. Surprisingly, my only V1 Kraton 8s arm failure was after tagging a steel construction stake head on 😝. I've had some wicked hard rolls too. This 08s truly handles great. Happy bashing Brother. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 thanks Man, I've been working hard in the garage getting my Bash Brigade all up and running. I've upgraded the power systems in them all now, can't wait to get out and make them fly! My GoPro decided to record just a still picture during a session with a full speed attack at the ramps the other day, this was with my m2c Kraton and m2c Talion, but they survived it so I'll get back out and try again. Take Care!
I just picked up my Outcast 8s. How do you like the zeee 7200 packs? I’m looking for some budget friendly bashing packs. Any recommendations? Love the videos, huge fan!
Congrats Brother 😱. So far I'm liking the Zee packs. Probably the best value I've found for the mAh rating. I like the Yowoo graphene packs better performance wise, but can't find the same deal for 2x 6500mah anymore. Hobbystar hardpacks are also worth a look. That's what I use for my 6s rigs. 🍻😎💪👊👊
i am up to eight Zeee Power EC5 batteries after prime delivery today! i've had four 6000mah 3S, added two 7000mah 3S, and two 7200mah 3S. all are 60C rate.
Great to hear Brother 👊. Appreciate the feedback. I normally run Hobbystar, but prices have crept up. Gotta say though the Yowoo graphene packs have noticably more punch 👀. The discharge rate and efficiency is nuts. They stay way cooler. First time using graphenes. I'm impressed. 😎💪👊👊
Thanks my friend 🤗. At the time, she was basically stock with a 23T pinion and the 39T spur gear I swapped on. She later got several M2C Racing upgrades plus a high torque system. Here's a link covering the bigger upgrades that ended a bit rough 😱. I've posted several Outcast 8s vids since then. Simply a wonderful platform. 🍻😎💪👊👊ruclips.net/video/fhSBAtUhYqc/видео.html
Hey Rich, so what motor and esc combo do you recommend for my OutKast 8s BLX again and gears and ratios? And motor mount? Will the stock tires hold up? Also what servo brand and model/size? And should I run the gens ace bashing lipos and mah size? I’ve had Rpm A arms for it for awhile and someone said something about Droop Screws? What the hell are they lol. Thanks
@@reyb6094 that's a tough call Brother 👀. So many great choices. I LOVE them both. If you don't own a Kraton 6s, I always recommend them 😍. Really boils down to budget, preference, and available terrain to some extent. Big Red is Mad fun, but takes a bit more caution too due to sheer size and weight. I've tweaked my back when loading her (or the K8s) 😝🤣🤣. The 8s is a bit more laborious due to size, but comes with the territory. No bad choices here. Good luck either way. 🍻
Just picked up an Outcast 8S and amazed with the stock electronics! First thing I did was ran the 24T speed gear. This is the first RC that I really think I don’t need to upgrade the electronics and that is typically the first thing I do 😂. Just ordered the Spool and gonna give it a try. You said your temps were good? Thanks!
Congrats on your 08s Mario 😱. Such a Killer job ARRMA did with it straight out of the box 😍. The fact that they listened about maximizing the ESC power (factory reprogramming), gearing taller, and using 20mil cst center diff, is utterly AWESOME 🥰🥰🥰. The stock system is very respectable now. I didn't have any heat issues running the 39T Limitless spur. Just pushed temps to the upper range of safe and acceptable 👍. That could however become an issue should the mesh tighten up or a couple bearings start to freeze up. The truth is this stock system is actually incredibly efficient for it's size. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Awesome setup and videos bash! I just got a kraton 8s. I just want to run the stock electronics but was wondering what the best pinion gear to go with the setup. Saw all your video and all the different setups you went across with. Which pinion is best for this vehicle?
Thanks Brother 👊. I'd recommend a 23-25T pinion. Gives you plenty of speed and wheelspin in the air if you like jumping. Gives you better control in the air. Just realize you may need to turn up your brake as you go taller with the gearing. 😎💪👊👊
Hey Rich first off I'm loving this truck and especially your videos on it most! Really great stuff. Hey Rich next time you're wrenching on this could you get a weight on a wheel for me? I was wondering if they are lighter than the duratrax x series. What wheels are better do you think in your opinion? Thanks as always for any help Rich, I always appreciate it.
Thanks so much Chris ☺️. I don't remember exact weights at the moment (away from the house) but can tell you the Backflips are a little heavier than the Kraton 8s wheels, but WAY lighter than the Duratrax Six Packs and Lockups. Over a pound less wheel weight total. The ARRMA wheels are much more forgiving. The Duratrax really need BIG, high torque setups to really get moving. You have much more agility with the Backflips. 😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 Rich you always come through! It definitely doesn't go unnoticed or under appreciated! That's a huge help. I was getting them for my reeper so I think the lighter backflips are the better option. The reeper is only 1/7 (although big) i don't think it would do well with the heavier duratrax x ones. Big thanks brotha! Always come through!
Man awesome bashing there buddy just got mines in the mail love how it looks going to put on the 23t for sure looks great, besides the chassis what else do you recommend I get from m2c?
Thanks Bobby 👊. Congrats on the new Beast!!!! ARRMA did an incredible job with her. All the M2C upgrades are awesome 👀. It's hard to pick which ones are best. I'd say definitely get the tool steel shock shafts and O ring pistons 🥰. The suspension blocks are the hidden heroes. They lock the arms and pins in great and don't tweak over time allowing excess movement/slop. The rears are more critical in my opinion. Motor mount with 8mm slide if you're getting a 56 series high torque motor. The Max5 ESC plate is also perfect if headed that direction. Don't forget to use the "m2ccoupon" code for all purchases. 👍👍🍻😎💪👊👊
What a beast good lookkng killer machine brother❤. Love the spot ya running on, looks fun and fast🤗, the Outcast lookes solid, spec with the 39 🥰, its not a lottle drop in teeth 😊. Made my sunday morning brother ❤❤
Thanks so much dear Brother Thomas 😍. Had a Blast out in the sand and loose stuff 🥰🥰🥰. She's feeling WAY livelier with this setup. ARRMA did a fantastic job with the O8s. Really appreciate the kind words as always Brother 🤗🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
Damn why do you have to keep making videos like this? It makes me want to go out and bash but I'm not quite at your skill level so I just crash. Love the videos though dude, you're a king 👑
Hi Mr. Duperbash I know you probably won’t see this comment but I have an arrma talion and was wandering where a good spot is to bash near el dorado hills, thanks. Love your vids btw.
I've bashed at Cummins family park in Folsom a few times, but it's been awhile 🤔. They have a nice BMX jump park. Folsom Lake has some great terrain to hit when the water levels are low. Can't say I know any specific spots in El Dorado Hills. Let me know if you find any please 🤗. Try using Google Earth to do a raw aerial search. You can zoom in on open dirt spaces and sometimes hit the jackpot. On occasion, you'll find a treasure right in your immediate area. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thank you so much for the reply!!!! I’ll definitely look in to Cummins family park and Folsom lake. Also, that sounds like a nice trick, looking on google maps. I’ve never thought of that one. Thanks for you help I’ll tell my friends to subscribe because you make such cool videos and you care about your fans. See you in the next video.
Thanks Richard 👊. Just did a full bash with a second set of these Backflips tires on my Kraton 8s at my buddies huge gravel pit 👀. I can affirm they work Killer on just about any loose terrain. Just don't rip them on asphalt too much. The knobs will show wear before long. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Cool bashing rich, thanks for spur gear ⚙ tips, im not there yet with my o8s , still messing with exb , you think i should lock rear diff or use lsd , and v4 center what think be stronger
You bet Paul 👊. The 08s is a Beast 👀. For the EXB, I'd consider either going LSD in the rear or swap in a V4 diff and input if you're having diff issues until parts and shims are available. Don't lock the rear diff. It'll drive and turn like crap. 😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 thanks brother, i used regular v4 center , put lsd in rear , i had v4 diff in rear , used a lil worn pinion wo shimming chewed ring gear , thats first.rear one ive blown since learning from you how shim proper so I have cough up user error 🤪 o8s 5th scale for me , i want another. I got impatient buying exb ,have alot Paul buikt exb arrmas 😆
Have you had any issues with the turnbuckles in the rear collapsing on themselves yet? Couple of my buddies have this truck and I really have an issues with that happening. I told them they should try to see if the Kraton 8S turnbuckles will fit since nobody’s having any trouble with them for some reason even though I would figure will be the same kind of plastics and what not.
hi rich, i have a stock motor esc, but i want to use the mx43 badlands wheel and tire, what do you recommend for gearing so it wont over heat? thank you and always an awsome videos :-)
Once again great video and driving! One question how are those zee lipo batteries? I've been looking to save a buck. 2 kids and myself lipos get $$$. Thanks Rich!!!
Thanks Brother 🤗. So far I'm liking these Zeee packs. Too early to say on durability and longevity, but several guys swear by them on the ARRMA 8s forums. They seem very well constructed and arrived balanced evenly. I'm a big fan of budget friendly stuff myself. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks Craig 🤗. I already grabbed a second set for my K8s 🥰🥰. Only warning..... don't do too many asphalt rips. I noticed wear on the knobbies after spinning them in the street enough 👀. The treads are too soft for it. 😎💪👊👊
You would never think that was running Stock electronics Rich! Thing is moving like a 1/8th scale 6s truck LOL 🚀 Can't imagine what it will be like with true 1/5 scale Motor Can & HW Max5 or CC MMX8S ESC 😱I reckon with the Outcasts SWB platform it will be a struggle to keep all 4 wheels down 😂 💪 👊🚀 Be safe matey
Thanks so much Jason 😊. I'm still shocked the stock system performed so well 👀. Especially, after a significant advance in the gearing. This setup hauls serious ass and still has low end grunt. I can't honestly say it needs a bigger system 😂. You know we like to play with ridiculous power, but you can only get so much to the ground with a SWB stunt platform. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Sick air already my man.she seems fast as hell. How did the chassis fair? Which do you like better the o8s or k8s? I love seeing it trample the mounds like they are nothing. Just crazy.great video man stay safe out there hope everyones safe🍻
Thanks so much Nick 👊. Chassis hasn't bent anymore since the first bash. It's bowed, but that's gonna happen if doing BIG ramp hits, especially landing on rocks and uneven terrain. M2C 7075 is next 💪. Did find the front lower brace end snapped at the tower and front shocks bent once I starting hitting the ramp wide out. Love both the 08s and K8s 🥰🥰. Just need variety, no real favorite. The O8s is probably more wild FUN stock vs stock anyways. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Awesome video.. do you think the limitless 29t spur gear and the bigger pinion that comes with the outcast would be to much or even just the 29t limitless spur gear and the stock pinion
Thanks Steven 😁. I think the 29 is way too small. The 34 might work, but you're shifting the motor very central and run out of real estate space wise. Aside from that, don't want to over gear the stock system at 1250kv. Eventually, you'll either have cogging, heat (amp draw) issues, or otherwise crappy performance. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks for saying that about the stock system . I knock no one for what they buy. But a few told me I was burning hot with the 25t and stock spur and I’ve only hit 120😭 kraton or outcast never shut down. Good bash bro. That’s why I don’t hesitate to hit you up if I’m not sure on something. Good run good run 🤘🏽
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. 120F is what I set my water heater at the house. Most all motors are safe up to atleast 170F+. I usually gear my rigs to about 150F to achieve maximum efficiency/performance. Beyond that, peak performance generally declines. Most of my temp readings were lower than in the video. The drag from the sand probably pushed them up a bit. ESC was 120's-130's in the dirt. The stock system isn't the greatest for raw torque, but it's still very impressive and ultra efficient in my opinion. 😎💪👊👊
I have the same exact one my only problem is. My controller keeps beeping after I drive my car for like, 5 minutes and I don't understand why it beeps and then my car RC car won't move.
I'm using an older Tactic TTX 300 controller and receiver. Not a fan of the RTR Spectrum radios to be honest. Could be low battery indicator (4 x AA) in the controller 🤔. Could be faulty too, I'm not sure. Gonna have to troubleshoot.
Hey Rich, If someone was to purchase a 1/5 scale and the two cars that person had in mind were the Kraton 8s, and the New XRT. Which one would you recommend, which is a better overall 1/5 scale?. I'd like to hear the opinion of a very experienced hobbyist.
I have to run the XRT myself to make a solid assessment and comparison. Waiting for one to arrive. I can say the K8s is a complete Beast 😍. They're really both 1/6 scale, but big enough 😱. I'm not a fan of Traxxas electronics or controllers, but do plan to compare the 2 once I have more time to run the XRT. I know with absolute certainty the plastic chassis and bulkheads have limitations with harder bashing before critical failures occur. Hopefully, M2C can mitigate the weak points like they've done with the XMaxx. 😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 I appreciate the informative answer, I've heard some negative things about the kraton's chassis, that since its aluminum it bends and cant be put back into place, anyway I'm happy you'll get your Xrt soon, can't wait to watch it on your videos and hear your thoughts! Much love from Stockton Ca!❤
@@teslacybertruck750 you bet Brother 👊. Yes the Kraton chassis can bend (like any alloy) but it's not difficult to restraighten with even marginal mechanical skills. That's the bigger reason why big jumpers lean towards M2C 7075 T6. It's far stronger than anything stock and eliminates the hassle or concern for bendage. I'm excited to see how the XRT performs. Despite watching other RUclipsrs, I take everything with a grain of salt until I can form my own opinion based on actual first hand experience.🍻
Hey bro I know you probably get asked alot of questions lol but I was curious about what shock fluid you use? I've just done m2c 7mm stock upgrade and have chucked 30w in but think it may be to soft for big jumps and may bend m2c ones. Can I ask your opinion? I have my own track its basically a Supercross track that's for my outcast etc. Thanks, great content btw 👌
Thanks Albert 🤗. I'm so friggin jealous to hear about your supercross bash track 😱. Definitely need to get property and a skid to make my own spot someday. I've been running mostly 40 weight with the beefier M2C shafts plus the M2C 8s pistons. It's ok to run even heavier, but at some point I think you add stress to the arms if the dampening is too heavy. I would experiment and see what works best. Just be sure you're still getting chassis slap off bigger jumps...etc. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Bro i swear you must have the best luck ever! After spending a week fixing my O8 because it came with a bunch of broken and unattached parts. I finally got it fixed and took it out into my lawn to tune the esc to how i like and stuff and both rear tie rods just fall off the shock tower side everytime i turn or wheelie because they have nothing to capture the rod ends into where they are mounted on the shock tower 🤨 so ya i ordered a bunch of new rod ends but i don't think that's going to solve anything. Have you had your rear rods pop off the shock tower? The actual ball end has a hex head built into it so there's no way to attach a washer or anything to capture it. FRUSTRATING i just want to drive my truck finally lol
Damn 👀. I've only had one pop off on my Kraton 8s after a hard sideways lander. I've had to adjust my camber and/or replace rod ends that end up stressed or stripped (got the turnbuckles shoved into them from wicked hits). Once these ends are stretched or stripped, they need replacing. My truck also had some loose, but no missing fasteners. In general, I've found it necessary to go through my hardware every run given the size and weight of this Beast, particularly with harder bashing. (Speaking of my K8s also). Stuff will come loose, sometimes even despite threadlock. At the end of the day, these RTR's are bound to have occasional assembly issues. That's why I'm the only person allowed to wrench on my rigs. That's the only way I can feel confident when I'm out bashing. If something goes wrong, I only have myself to blame 🍻😎💪👊👊
Great video 👌🍻🍻 have a quick question I just put new servos in my e-maxx brushless and they are twitching can that be that the bar that connects them can be to tight or to loose
Thanks Tommy 👊. I've never owned an E-Maxx, but would double check your reciever is rated to handle whichever servos you installed. Higher torque servos in particular can cause problems. Sometimes a glitch buster or external BEC can help. Double check the servos are centered and set your endpoints also. Not sure on the bar, but I'd think the length would need to be correct to utilize 2 servos in unison. 😎💪👊👊
hi rich would u say u get the rtr instead of the exb 8s if u going to upgrade parts later as the rtr is complete with exb its electronics then parts later to upgrade
I just ordered one ...What Runtime are you getting mate ...
I have got 2 x 4s 8000 80c gens ace coming for it .... Hoping I get at least 20 mins
@@craigdixon7881 Congrats Brother 👊. I'm getting about that now depending on throttle use. You should be golden with those packs. 😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 Thanks so much mate for the reply
Hey
Can you tell me also how do you tell when the atterys are getting g low ,is there some sort of warning so you don't over discharge them to.low
I have had planes before which you have to just time but do these cars have a warning so you don't have to set a timer
@@craigdixon7881 yes indeed. The ESC has LVC (low voltage cutoff) settings. The car's power will suddenly reduce noticably upon hitting LVC. That's the time to stop and swap Lipos. 👍
Shes ripping now! Great vid rich!
Kev.... let make a riposte 😜👌.. and then Please.. ask. one more time.. WHAT HAPPEND 😜🤪🤪
Thanks so much Kev 🤗. I'm impressed the stock system handled the gearing no problem 🍻😎💪👊👊
Rich D makin it happen once again! Killer speed! Must be heart pumping when it's flying by at those crazy speeds! Major sends! Wicked brother!
Thanks Gabe 😜. Definitely heart pumping watching Big Red rip past wide out 👍. Such a Killer platform Brother. Happy bashing. 🍻😎💪👊👊
That’s red looks awesome! Love the paint job. I want an outcast next!
You're a god darn wizard Rich. The hardest basher to walk the earth. Unbelievable stuff you do 💥🤎
Thanks so much James 🤗. You're too kind Brother. Happy bashing. 🍻😎💪👊👊
No Arrma is ever “TOO FAST” RICH 😎😎
So glad the air quality and visibility isn’t as bad anymore brother 👀 and continues to get better for us 👊🏼 really can’t wait to get out there and pull some crazy stunts with our rigs again 🤟🏽
How do you not have 1M subs? This footage is incredible
Thanks so much Brother 😊. Appreciate the kind words and support. 🍻😎💪👊👊
let's help him out with that, Brandon!
I did this setup and was extremely happy.
That's awesome to hear Jay 🍻😎💪👊👊
Killer bash buddy,
She was flying!
You drop a bigger can in there Rich and you should be good for what I know your going for 😂😜🚀🚀🚀
Them high speed sand passes... Just not fair.... I miss them Cali Beaches.... So easy to find sand spots even away from the beach! Pulling some big doubles already brother.... I'm headed out the door with my M2Cified O8S right now for her firts bash, 8s here I come😜😢
Well 🚀🚀 it anyway.... Thats my thoughts 😂
Thanks for sharing brother....
That boat ramp looks real familiar, haha. I really need to get out there this summer with the toys.
No doubt Chad 🤗. Great place to rip around, especially when the water levels are low. 🍻😎💪👊👊
For stock this is a show of honest strength great show Rich even better skills on controller😎
Thanks so much Brother 👊. Awesome to see ARRMA listened to feedback with the diff tuning and reprogrammed the stock ESC 👍. I'm impressed the stock electronics handled this gearing so well 👀😎💪👊👊
Killer set up and location , she moves really well for just a gear change . Big Girl was hauling !! Be safe brother , bash on 😎👊
Thanks Brother 👊!!!
If so what brand and material,
Shock towers Alloy?

Damn Rich that thing is scooting . I’m gonna put the 39T on the 8s Kraton. thx. bro
Thanks Brother 👊. The 39 and 34T Limitless gears are both great depending on your motor and pinion setup👌. This 23/39 set-up gets the stock system moving nicely. 😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 hey man is the 39tooth spool 8mm bore on the outcast 8s?
I'm thinking of ordering one.
Great vid as usual, man this seems to be way more lively than the K8s. Can’t wait for mine to arrive!
How do you get more stopping power on the brakes? Like turn up the brakes? How do you do that?
You have to go into the ESC settings and adjust the brake setting there.
Lookin good out there Rich.D ! Always an inspiration after watching you bash.
Thanks so much David 🤗. Truly appreciate it Brother 🍻😎💪👊👊

Wow how did that not break, it must be much tougher than the k8s? Congrats Brother 😱. So far I'm liking the Zee packs. Probably the best value I've found for the mAh rating. I like the Yowoo graphene packs better performance wise, but can't find the same deal for 2x 6500mah anymore. Hobbystar hardpacks are also worth a look. That's what I use for my 6s rigs. 🍻😎💪👊👊
i am up to eight Zeee Power EC5 batteries after prime delivery today! i've had four 6000mah 3S, added two 7000mah 3S, and two 7200mah 3S. all are 60C rate.
Been using Zee for 6 months no issues Rich.

Kraton EXB*
@@richduperbash2966 thank you! Thanks for the reply. Appreciate the tips brotha 🙏

@@richduperbash2966 Thank you Rich! I'm going to order a couple 3s for my Baja Rey.
Nice test of those 8s dboots backflips
Thanks Craig 🤗. I already grabbed a second set for my K8s 🥰🥰. Only warning..... don't do too many asphalt rips. I noticed wear on the knobbies after spinning them in the street enough 👀. The treads are too soft for it. 😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966awesome ya I'll have to remember off road use only...I was thinking about grabbing a set for my xmaxx 😄
I want one so bad!!!! Wife is blocking me!!!! I’ve got the Kraton 8s and it’s beast
So you have the 37T spool with the 23T motor pinion gear
What pinion 30 or 29?
Think I was running 23/39 gearing with the stock 1250kv motor at the time. 29 or 30T pinion works better with an 1100kv motor.
Awesome RC,that thing is a beast
Thanks Brother, she truly is quite the Beast. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thank you for properly bashing this bad boy!
Thank you for your reply I really appreciate it. You just earned my subscription
@@richduperbash2966 I just got a 39t spool .. is there a easy way to take the spool off the outcast without having to remove everything
That big boy is flying
I have the same exact one my only problem is. My controller keeps beeping after I drive my car for like, 5 minutes and I don't understand why it beeps and then my car RC car won't move.
I'm using an older Tactic TTX 300 controller and receiver. Not a fan of the RTR Spectrum radios to be honest. Could be low battery indicator (4 x AA) in the controller 🤔. Could be faulty too, I'm not sure. Gonna have to troubleshoot.
That's what I thought I keep changing my AAA-batteries And then after a couple minutes, it does the same exact thing. Controller just keeps beeping
Nice brother Rich awesome love it👊🏁🏁
Thanks so much Kizzel 🤗!!!! Hope you're doing well my Brother 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
The thing goes any higher you’re gonna need a pilots license
Mr. Duperbash, u are probably Aarma's top salesman and u and Aarma dont even know it!!!
@@richduperbash2966 ok thanks any specific Bec is a Traxxas e-maxx brushless 6s
