I don't know if anyone noticed, but Drake rarely ever curses outside of his music, that's so refreshing.
right, I like the songs where he doesn't curse
Yeah I noticed - someone made a comment earlier about him being elegant and he really is for many reasons including the lack of bad language.
K
I agree with you. I did notice that. I like him either way.
Yes Sir

why does drake look like he leveled up? this dude looks like he absorbed meek mill, tyga and chris brown and has now become some kind of powerful beast that seems too powerful and unstoppable now. lol
on some DBZ Super Buu shit 😂
chris brown? as far as ik he paid chris to end the beef
idk maybe, it's just funny to think about it that way lol
+carlos martinez from what i heard he paid off chris though so that doesn't count in my book
so true
It's kind of a relief to hear Drake say early in the interview that some nights they struggle to come up with something. There's frustration, pointless nights ETC. As a producer and a writer I get a lot of those nights and they can be extremely disheartening and frustrating. It's kind of relieving to know that people such as Drake & 40 go through the same thing.
Yeah everyone gets it, we call it studio stalemate
+Dom Harper I've never heard that term, thanks for sharing. Extremely frustrating. I sat last night for about 3 hours just starting and scrapping instrumentals and still didn't get anything!
+Dom Harper or writers block if your a song writer
+Prod. Khalid Ayy Khalid. Totally agree.
+Jayden Martin Yep, that's right man
drake could be a role model solely for his eloquence and confident composure, whether or not someones even a fan of his music. dudes got a serious natural elegance about him. much respect.
+Jay Tee yeah i agree. he just seems like a a cool, genuine guy and his interviews are pretty intelligent, unlike many other rappers.
yep
I liked his style too. I liked that he likes going to the studio without an entourage - that was refreshing to hear. He's very mature - he is 32yrs I think but still mature and intelligent.
Sarah Tates is youthyyytyyyyy

People hate Drake but around the time of 2014-2016, Drake was working harder than everybody else to solidify his spot as the top artist in the game.
If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, What a Time to Be Alive and Views back to back to back in a year is out of this world and each are arguably classic projects. He’s earned it.
Greatest artist ever
Especially 2015, I don't think i've seen an artist hit on so many dubs than he did in one year, reading this, headlining Coachella, meek beef, deal with Apple and ovo sound radio, WATTBA, and then ending it with arguably his biggest hit ever with hotline bling.
@@chrisc2706Hosting SNL, the surprise drop of IYRTITL and the MULTIPLE hits from that album. That year was crazy for Drake. The only thing I can compare to 15 Drake was 07-08 Wayne
Probably like one of the only rapper in today's game that is so well spoken
Big C Who?
Drake is not rapper,he is more pop singer
Goran Rapaić meh that's Travis Scott he a singing nigga/rapper to me
Making this statement only pictures how little you've actually researched and/or that you looked at the wrong place.
Yung Jay but Travis is good
This nigga voice puts me in a chill mode
is that good or bad
+The Kiid Could you imagine phone sex with this nigga....OMG
+Damani Carter Drake fans are clearly all from the LGBT community
+Anoying Troll ^ nigga what ? 😹😹
hahahah that the gayest shit I've heard in a minute
Everybody lookin at Drake. I'm looking at the gear in the background LOL #Producer
Hello and welcome to busy works beatssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

facts same here artist producer engineer I am
Hahaha funny seeing you here
His aura from here to now is so different, he really has embraced more of an untouchable-mob boss aura over these past couple of years
and now he is really embodying the mob boss aura on his instagram. you read it well
Who here after Rap Radar: Drake🤷♀️
lol gang
Yea it's like two different Drakes lol

Meeeeee lol just know

Every time drake says "yeah" I feel like he's about to drop a song 😂😂😂
lol
I'm weeeak
Or his verse is about to pop out of nowhere in a song.
Haha so true 😁
W
He is very well spoken.
+William Francis What do you expect from a person who lives off of his raps? He obviously knows how to handle his language & words
+John cage I'm a fucking a huge Drake fan you piece of shit and I'm from Toronto. You're the racist one for making that connection.
William Francis if you're a huge drake fan, then it shouldn't surprise you how he speaks.. is this the first time you ever heard drake being interviewed???
dumb shit
***** i need your mom
+John cage of course I know he is well spoken I just thought it was worth pointing out that he speaks very well and gets his points across real clearly. And btw at first I thought you were a troll with that first comment but it turns you aren't kinda sad bro that you would call me a fuckin racist for saying someone is well spoken... What has the world come to
8 years later and some of the things he speaks about here really came true. Such a good interview
This guy is amazing. So calculated, sleek, and focused. He knows how to address things, people, and how to attack
Views is the type of album only true/diehard drake fans will enjoy and be able to understand. I personally think it's great but a lot of people were let down due to the fact they thought Drizzy was going to finally going to drop his first full rap album...I hope he does one day though.
True, it mixes the best elements from If You're Reading This It's Too Late and Take Care.
+poetmm which songs would you get rid of?
So True🙏🏽💯
He needs more ghostwriters
I love Drake's music, but I don't think that'll ever happen, him singing is a major plus in his material, it's a major reason why people favor his music.
Respect to zane but sometimes he goes too deep into subjects unnecessarily. Drake could sneeze and he would say tell me about the moment leading up to the sneeze, how you felt at the time and the impact it had on your peers and the culture.
LMAO facts tho
+bowzar07 LMAO was literally thinking the same thing
WHY IS THIS NOT THE STOP COMMENT AHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHA! Hold this W fam

I really think Drake will be the GOAT when all is said and done...dude changed music in a big way

Caleb Murrell Drake set the world on fire 🔥
I don't care what anyone says, Views was an excellent album that will be appreciated as such one day
absolutely
Yeezus it's gonna be a contender for the worst album released this year and remembered as such.
BLVCK LORD Why do you think that?
Yeezus his bars mostly but also his horrible dancehall music and the R&B songs aren't memorable like on take care and NWTS except Hotline Bling and the beats aren't has good as his last albums. His worst album to date no debate.
BLVCK LORD
Yeah some of his bars are pretty cringey but it was well done overall. I like how he combined RnB and hip hop like most can't. Especially on Redemption. It's a nice listen. Calms me and puts me in a nice mood. I saw a tweet that said the album is not for the club but for the ride home at 3am. I like the somber tone.
Drake's facial expression at 50:44 is absolutely savage. He was DEAD serious.
Forreal
+Phil Shobo imma real sicko when you get to know me ngiga''
And he looked directly into the camera like "I'm talking to you"
"They always dying to mention me, they gotta go, they gotta go. They gonna die out eventually, I cannot give em no empathy..."
ahaha foreal! it was a response to tory lanez
IYRTITL was for 2014 fans and views is for day1 fans
I love this comment so much man, GG.
facts
YEEEEEESS!!!!! Since Heartbreak Drake days
True
I'm a day one fan and Views still isn't a good album. This is an excuse
Drake is one of the most mature rappers in the game you can do nothing but give respect because he doesn't do anything to anyone doesn't start beef. Like he says he sits back and let the bullshit sit. No need for a reaction to everything. Lowkey kills me when people really be going after this man Lol like let the man do his thing.
Exactly
Sam Britt shut the fuck up. he gonna get pulled up on and it'll be his fault for fuckin wit the realest
Sam Britt true but people dickride him too much and it makes him look bad
+Hypebeast I can't understand that logic.. Drake's fans don't make Drake look bad. If you don't like Drake because of his fans then you have a weak ass mind. People who hate Drake because other people love him can't think for themselves..
Sam Britt you mean let the man do his Ting 👌👌
To listen to Drake talk so highly of Kayne back then and today to know the issues between all just shows how many faces life has
what?
@@ngmmngw9027 Kanye switched up
No friends in the industry
"Do I take your chair or what?"Drake a straight savage for that😂😂😂
I'm pretty sure 40 knew they had the interview going on an was just tryna shut it down real quick. besides they're like brothers
If 40 said no hed probably take to the carpet, which i wouldve liked to see
😂😂😂
lmaoo
+ngareta sims and sit indian-style. like a little kid like in story time
'Some nights we just talk' sounds like a drake tbh
2006
i always come back to this interview. something about it just centers me
iambrandon the blue lighting
CLB is gonna be a classic
a suprise single with Kanye would be so insane too, just imagine, but i guess that is too much to hope for unfortuantely:/
If he drops it anytime soon
Hopefully
@@Andrej577 I'm upset
Sho mfethu, siymele vele vele yabo. Manje wena uhlalakuphi.?
All the ppl talking about how drake sounds so white or like a rich white man is pretty sad.
He sounds Educated, he enunciates his words.
Anyone can sound like him black or white.
You're basically saying black people can't sound educated.
Tommy Rosiers Drake is not educated. Never finished HS, nor attend college. Fun fact: Ludacris, Rick Ross,Cam'ron, Gucci Mane Plies Frank Ocean all attended college...Cam Gucci did not graduate but attended for full semesters. Drake is just a classy dude.
Zoe Longway drake went back and finished high school
Jose Ordonez Then got his ass handed by Pusha T 😀😁 😂 bruhhhhhhhh.
sreejit sarkar lol he could’ve responded. And not really as drake went off of facts and he just went off of allegations such as the baby and ghostwriters. Lol basic dude nothing new just trying to sell his album.
Jose Ordonez Pusha T used truth not allegations while Drake was just plain trying to bully him.......so desperate even mentioned his wife's name and Pusha trying to sell his album😂😁😁😁😁😁yeah sure.Dude been in the game since Drake was a minor.Look at his joints with Pharrell,Remy plus plenty more then there's his albums solo and as clipse.Your boy Wheelchair Jimmy is nowhere on Pusha's level.
Genius
ITS RONA SEASON IN THE OVO SOUND STUDIO BOIS DRAKE DRINKIN FAT RONAS IN RONTO
Oh yeah, Drake is a really smart, mature, laidback dude. Perfect businessman.

"I have a pure heart. I have nothing to hide." "We can talk about anything." And all of that comes out on his music, I love it.
He said "you know?" 324 times in this interview

Edwin Medina you should get hella likes for that .
Edwin Medina while i was reading this he said ya know😂😂😂

facts
+Hathim Khan Its amazing if u wanna kick back n enjoy some dope rnb hip hop
Jamaica is such a small country and yet, we have such a great influence on the rest of the world, especially in music and culture and he's just a catapult right now. Canada is heavily influenced by the Jamaican diaspora up there. I hope this makes us value our culture even more.
We do! The music, food and slang is heavily influenced amongst the urban crowd
Very true
+Sutandy Thompson as a jamaican/canadian living in toronto, this couldn't be more true
sorry to burst your bubble but a little bit of influence in music doesnt mean that Jamaica influences culture or the world lol
If anything we are more influenced by Eastern cultures.... Go to any American or Canadian city and on every street you will see people eating Chinese or Korean food, doing yoga which is Indian and maybe talking about Karma or Feng shui
I know black people like to think they different things to feel better about themselves (like ancient egyptians were black lol) but please dont embarrass yourself it is kinda sad lol
Jerry Cart I agree but jamaica has more influence than you think, in the uk our slang is heavily influenced by my country, it had started in London and spread throughout the whole of the uk
Hearing him talk about Kanye then in comparison to how things are now is so crazy.
Facts
Drizzy and 40 are legends always creating absolute masterpieces
50:40 Drake's a savage.
that shit was scary..the real drake
scared the shit outta me
lol yep
+Andrew Jordan Yoooo he said that shit with the craziest straight faced glare after too lmao sheesh
+Solid B drake's an actor he ain't about that life
So many new gen fans in the comments, drake is a singing nigga and always will be. His emotional shit speaks to me, if you want jiggy rappin stay listening to the newer stuff
Exactly
That's not the the problem is what you don't understand. It's not good because the music isn't good. It has nothing to do with singing. Take Care is considered to be his best album and he sings for most of it. So you're argument is false. People don't like the album because the music just isn't good. NWTS is my favorite album of his and that's old drake. No one is mad that he is singing, I'm mad that the melodies he is singing don't fit the song or aren't good
+Dreads Power (Dreadspower)
And just what are you doing, fuckboy?
+Phil Mitchell New generation? How long ago do you think Drake started? Just because someone doesn't agree with your opinion of him doesn't mean they are from the new gen. What time period is this new gen?
+William Mac Nally I agree and that was well said.
Who here after CLB got announced for January 2021?
Smoothe, ungossipy, intellegent conversation.
Very refreshing
Lol Drake's smooth ass voice makes me feel some typa way
He should do asmr

First 3 things I noticed: Gear in the background, 40s Gucci Cap, OCB Papes. :D
Comin back to this, views is a classic now, and everyone hated because it was just that big. The listen is so seamless and beautiful, there are no skips on this album which is incredibly hard for a 20 track album. Let’s give him and 40 their flowers for bringing this huge shift in the culture
"Nights of nothingness", that's real as shit.
Not every moment in the studio is a magic moment.

Views will forever be an underrated album imo, such a vibe and an actual cohesive feel
Underrated with 1m first week sales its underappreciated
He Keeps it real...The reason why this album is obviously a classic is because of how much time and dedication they put to the art and the music.
It's always good listening to him talk lol. Smart man.
i" think im selling a million first week man i guess im an optimist" -waited a while for this bar to come true in real life.
Law of attraction isn't fiction. Rules stop you from that train of thought though. But we are all stepping up no doubt
+A1 no he obviously not he sold a milli in a week
he sold 630,000 in one night hes going to hit 1 million.
So incredible to see a view of drakes thought process behind Views. That one is definitely the greatest masterpiece he’s released
When Drake is gone people will finally realize we will never get anyone like Drake ever again...
The GOAT 🐐
I can't think of anyone like him maybe j cole with the fashion sense at times but not really he really stands out
This guy has Wayne and Ye advising him on music, Jamie Foxx advising him for movies and Serena's work rate and habit of winning will have its affects. He's gonna do great things but if you want to understand why, just look at his circle. smh Drake stay winning.
+Trev K I been telling people that you REALLY need a team to be successful on that level. Look at JayZ...he at one point had Kanye,Just Blaze,Young Guru, Timbaland and Pharell. You need to surround yourself with talent. Kendrick has a great team too.
💯
+Trev K You forgot the ghostwriters
+MakingMovesMajor *co writers and everyone has them stfu
+David Gonzales W for telling the truth
nice to hear a smart interview without excessive gossip questions.
I thought the same.
Main points from this is....
Drake understands how the industry works very well
Drake undertstands music and the link between him and his fans
Drake understands making links with people high up in the industry and making major plays to advance his own career.
Thats why he is so successful
True🔥🔥
I noticed the Drake in this interview is way more reserved as if he's calculating every answer, the Drake in rap radar is way different, he's looser, more goofy, def in a better place, glad to see him doing good.
YoseiHito definitely, hes grown a lot and u can tell from the rap radar interview
Like this drake more
Wine spritzers my guy 😆
any real niggas who were drake fans from 08 back when ransom dropped and thats how they discovered drake appreciates this album for the classic it is... ppl judging this album to take care already i guarentee you they havent sat down and listened to take care front to back even once... views is as close as take care 2 you can get.
+Akhil P it's not a classic....
John cage na nigga come back to this comment in 2018.... Its a classic
Akhil P not even close to a classic......
i was a fan since 09'
kinda in a way...
So weird when you can notice how Aubrey Graham acts, talks and carries himself so differently compared to the way Drake talks/raps, acts and carries himself. I feel like whenever Drake raps, he is acting more like his stage name but when he sings he acts more like Aubrey Graham.
I was at work listening to 10 bands, and I was thinking this same exact thing
He is under demons control while he raps
Dope view on things
Well, he was originally a singer before he started rapping. Sooooo
How's that shit weird? You want the nigga to be all hype while he's just casually talking in a casual interview? Pull up a Cole or Kendrick interview, they're calm and chill af compared to some of their tracks they're hype on. The nigga is an artist so if he's feelin like he's the shit he's gon rap, if he's feelin some type of way then he's gon sing. Someone can't feel or act the same all the time so his music won't either.
34:17 drake is an ice eater
Iluminati shut
If u not an iceeater ur dead to me
Julián Communications LMFAO
i like drake's take on how he makes music for all people and honestly being a drake stan his music has helped me a lot through the years and brought a lot of joy
Why I like drakes music so much ? It's cause he isn't a hood rapper that raps about guns gang and hood shit. He raps about shit I can relate to girls, love, heartbreak, making money
the stuff he actually writes, yeah
Be honest.... Drake's singing brings more to his music... Be honest.... Y'all love his singing... I do atleast
I agree, he created his own lane. You have to respect creativity.
I agree the guy is he's own genre
+MontanaDior kanye started the singing trend with 808s and heartbreaks but drake perfected it because he has the better voice
+Shemar Rodney Truth! But if you wanna call Ye humming over auto-tune singing then... ✊🏽 lol But, I genuinely feel like there is no comparison, however, they both are rare
+MontanaDior I liked it when he changed last year
this interview gave me a whole nother level of respect for Drake
Bro should have remembered his 72 hour rule with the heart part 6
This guy is the best interviewer out right now man.
Wtf
I do appreciate how everything he says is necessary. Recognizing this interview is not about the views received but rather how we receive Drake's view. As a listeners I appreciate the album much more now.
Agreed.
I have a fucking test tomorrow and all I do was watching the whole damn video😒

1 hours of Drake interview! What a good start in the day
For some odd reason I can imagine there being another Shark Tale movie and Drake co-starring in the film with Will Smith lmfao.
BryanENVY Lol spot on
BryanENVY cause he looks like Willard's fish...
BryanENVY 😭😭😭
this is the strangest but truest comment I've ever read
Lol Drake sounds like he’d voice a swordfish or like some small smooth little fish
It's nice to hear that other artists especially at his caliber also sometimes have those magic-less nights. That happens to us all no matter your medium or art, King of the wave or not, it happens.
I appreciated how sincere and DTE he was in this video.
I love how serious he says, "And I don't go for that" 49:10. I keep rewinding that part. lol why so serious
LMAOOO
This best comment in the entire video!
Even drakes interview views going platinum in a week
+brindle kennels of Nj fuck of bro
+brindle kennels of Nj you must love Drake.
+brindle kennels of Nj that is like ironic cause I'm 22 and I like that shit frfr
watching this interview relaxs me dawg my guy drake just got that vibe n his music too
I love this interview. I always come back to this one.
Views might be the most controversial "Rap" album of this decade. Some people saying that it's trash and disapointing , while some people are acting like if Drake just dropped the updated version of the Bible...
+Alan Framboisier Yeezus album
Really? Lol
not controversial, debatable is the right term
+Dionta Scenters true, just like yeezus. Some people think its trash and others really enjoy it
Nah I feel like every album receives this similar response. With Drake this time around people were expecting bangers, but he gave that that retro Drake that a lot of people didn't really like much. They wanted him to spit heat, not sing on most of the tracks. I think it's an ok album, but nothing new, just Drake being Drake. Playing it safe and moving the chips right.
Drakes "link in bio" brought me here
Drake is such a gentleman. Great interview. Blessings always!
Zane Lowe is a master at making artists feel comfortable and getting them to open up. His style transcends the traditional connotations of an interview, and always just becomes a conversation between two people. Extremely empathetic and just down-right human. Salute Zane. Salute Drake.
Greatest in our Generation.

You know what? I don't care if he writes his own music/lyrics or not !!! Drake is unique either way. He is professional. He is intelligent. As a human being, he seems to be so down to earth, and like an all around great guy . Drake is the type of person I would introduce to my parents, without having doubts about them
Liking him . That's the vibe I get anyway. Haha
We need an updated version!
More interviews need to be like this. Talk about the music.
VIEWS is a genuine moment, in my opinion. Feels like Drizzy has gotten the uncertainty out of his system, in respect to his sound. Embracing his own idiosyncrasies and it's evident. Good work fam, respect.
nice to look back at this interview
Having friends that push one another to become great is such a blessing and drake did the same I bet.
Drake is simply a class act. I'm proud of the man. Well done. His mother raised a man.
Drake is very smart with his words, definitely one of my favorite artists. No negativity from him at all, respects everyone to an extent. #VIEWS
i got hyped up when he got real about this being his time. people can say what they want but Drake has been consistent for years. new artists have popped up and fade out but he is still in the top.
He talks about The Weeknd at 45:55. Ur welcome

Hate or love him.....he did his thing & you cant ignore Drake
Man, I love Drake.
Zane is a great interviewer and I think he could go deeper. He seems to get to a point in his interviews where he could really go deep with these artists then moves on to another question. As a fan, of course I want more.
Jimmy Fallon should have Drake teach him how to perfect that fake laugh.
