Well in his defense it is based on the M1 Chassis. It's just an Abrams with its 120mm gun swapped out for two M58 Mine Clearing Line Charge launchers. It's all good.
M1 Tank Series is already old. first one came out in 1978 with 105mm gun there few years later the M1A1 with 120mm gun. also the the gun along with breechblock is german patent no USA. M1's is been superseded by better Tanks like china and russia. M1's fire power for the ammo is been the same since the A1 came out. only thing we have done upgrade armor and electronics plus Optics. There are better Tanks now than the M1A2 SEP. Tank warfare will be out soon. Tanks can be destroy now from miles away. I am Tank Commander US Army Retired 25 years active service with 3 combat tours! Equipment does not the the crew! the crew makes the equipment, you can have the best tank in the world but, if your crew is not trained properly equipment is a waste !
