CORRECTION: The Mavic Air has a remote control range of 4 kilometers. So a little more than half the range of the Mavic Pro (4km vs 7km). 👍
Too much emphasis on bitrate when the Air aperture is higher 2.8 vs Mavic Pro 2.2, so less light input, and most using the Air now for a while have found many issues of softening. The images have issues with the Air in that the pictures get stretched to accommodate for lens edge distortion. Mavic Pro does not have that problem.
Mavic Air is more like Spark in terms of point and shoot focus, whereas the Mavic Pro gives the users the photo tools to work and focusing akin to DSLR. Tap to focus is really cool, but the user must understand how it works. Mavic Pro has the camera type controls where the Air does not have that same capability. Mavic Air wifi has been quite problematic for many users. Fewer and fewer can get the advertised range much less further than that. Some YT'ers have, but most will not. Ocusync for Mavic Pro is 10x better than wifi. Mavic Air is more than twice as loud and noticeable than the Mavic Pro.
Issues still with bitrate spec. More and more users are finding the bitrate really only peaks at certain video modes and options. Most of the time it does not record in 100mbr.
Mavic Pro has telem data on RC's LCD. That is great should the app have faults or crash suddenly. You can fly the drone and know the telem data can safely get the Mavic Pro back. Many Air owners that lost visual lost their craft due to improper settings, as well as other issues when RC lost connection and their Mavic Air attempted the RTH. Having that telemetry data has proved helpful for many recent issues with the GO4 App creating rare disconnects from the Mavic Pro. If using GO4 4.2.16 I'd recommend going to an earlier version. 4.2.16 is flawed and buggy. DJI is working to resolve.
I feel bad because many come to these YT comparisons for actual comparisons and all they really get are specs about the bitrate. In actual testing due to the above issues, the bitrate is not often realized or proven enough to be all that. Milky washed out tree tops and branches, left side of video having added compression has also been noticeable.

Awesome video David! I'm personally kind of excited that they released a version of the Mavic with a lower price tag. I have been on the look out for a drone and I think this might be the one! Keep up the great work! :)

The Spark is a great entry level drone, but not on the level of the others. The phantom is a great drone if you don't mind it not being very portable. The Air, I think, is the best, so it depends on how much you want to spend. It's hard, I know! lol

Which one do I get? I can buy any of the two but can only pick one. Also someone is selling the mavic pro brand new for £650 and the mavic air costs £769 in shops. Which do I get?? I want to use it for my travels around the world
