NC500 Part 4: Hiking the Quiraing

- A very worthy place in the Skye top 10 things to do is hike the amazing Quiraing, the views are simply mind blowing, we also attempt to visit Dunvegan Castle and the Coral beach but fail on both counts! we weren't disappointed though as we found a short magical walk through the woods from the Dunvegan Castle Car Park.
Mealt Falls and the kilt Rock just about get into our Skye top 10 attractions although you'll only spend about 15 mins here before you have experienced everything.
0:00 Intro
0:47 Failed visit to Coral Beach and Dunvegan Castle
2:38 Beautiful Dunvegan Hike
6:14 Jann's cafe
6:37 Mealt Falls and Kilt Rock
7:37 The Quiraing
Tip - We hiked the Quiraing from the small carpark on the Coast road, there is a lot more parking available at the top, to get to the top carpark take the left when heading north out of Staffin signed the Quiraing. Its the road that cuts across to UIG rather than following the coast road.
Tip - if you want to visit the Coral Beach go early, really early! the road is narrow and parking is limited.

Just phenomenal, I cannot understand why you only have 4.08k subscribers 😎, I would expect you to have at least 40k subscribers and that figure to be rising. The efforts that you put into your activities justifies the “Extreme” and the quality of your videography is amazing. I think that you are on a par with Lou from Camper_Vibe and Adam from Jits into the sunset. I honestly think some of your work could be shown on a big screen in a cinema before a block buster film. Michelle, Emily and Tanya are probably more interesting to watch too. Thanks for your great work, what a pleasure it is to watch, I am hoping to learn from you in time 😎😎
Wow, we're a bit lost for words with that comment, thank you so much for your kind words and its fantastic to hear you enjoy what we put out😊😊😊
I agree I only have one subscribed and that’s ME lol.
Dear Andy and Michelle, this is another great art from your desk, thanks! We used it as a base for our trip itinerary. Amazing shots! Amazing graphics! and of course - thank you for sharing your adventures with us!
Thank you 😀 Its great to hear our videos are being enjoyed and are useful for travel itineraries (and from someone so well travelled as your self) 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Absolutely brilliant.
Thanks Paul , great to hear you liked it😀👍 ...Andy&Michelle

Thank you☺️, it really is one for the list, the scenery is so dramatic! Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Amazing views. Another great one from you. ❤️xx
Thanks Julia 😊 x Andy & Michelle
Gorgeous views!
They certainly were! we loved it 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures awesome! We have a good time making outdoor content also
Another beauty - the video not Michelle 😂 can’t believe you missed the fairy Michelle. Clare saw it and she loves them. Genuinely cannot believe there are sites like that in the U.K. amazing. Keep up the great editing Andy, you’re the graphic king.
Yes, the fairies are everywhere, Michelle just needs to look harder!! Yes, we'd not seen any pictures of the scenery here before we did this hike so it was a total surprise for us too😀
Another great vlog, keep em coming guys
Thanks Peter ☺️ Cheers..Andy&Michelle
Another awesome video Andy and Michelle. Great music choices. Crikey that was quite gusty on the ridge! Brilliant. Thankyou as always for sharing your amazing adventures!
Thanks Steve 😊, the scenery blew us away and nearly blew us off the edge!💨😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Another lovely video guys. Many thanks.

Superb footage, really loving this tour of Skye, it’s been a few years since we were there and this vlog is bringing those memories flooding back. ⛰🌳🥾🚶🏻🚶♀️🌳looking forward to the next one 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Geoff, Skye is just made for the camera 🎥🏞The next one will be out in a fews days time 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Wow yet again outstanding
Cheers Rick 😊 Glad you enjoyed...Andy&Michelle
Another brilliant video from you guys, super footage and great editing skills. I appreciate the time & effort you put in. Roll on the next
one 😁😁😁😁
Thanks Simon, it means a lot to us when we read comments recognising the time it takes to make the videos 😀🎬 currently editing the next one right now😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Brilliant. Thank you, I was in tears watching. I'm Scottish but lived in Australia since 1981. You can get the ferry to Lewis from Skye and if you're into Outlander you can go to the standing stones from the show.
oh my goodness Denise, I think its the first time we've moved somebody to tears with one of our videos, thats special to hear, thank you. We so wanted to visit Lewis and Harris but didn't make it this time, we'll definitely be back to see more of Skye, more of Scotland and to visit the Islands, Cheers...Andy&Michelle
I was wondering when we'd see more of your Skye trip. That looked like a great days hiking, good visibility too. 👍
Yes, it's been a busy couple of weeks so limited time to edit, thats it from Skye now though, off to see more of Scotland 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Superb footage yet again ; filming using your long pole really adds something magical to your vlogs. We are staying at Glen Coe in August and you are tempting us to “pop up” to Skye for a long day trip :)
Yes the pole really helps to capture a different perspective, I wouldn't be without it now 😀 Quite a long day trip from Glen Coe but one thing is the scenery certainly makes it a pleasant drive, Cheers...Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures Hi Andy. Do you have a link to the long pole you're using?
@@TheCaravanGoodLife Hi David... this is the amazon link amzn.to/3pKfVVV cheers...Andy
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures Thanks Andy 👍
Scotland is the most beautiful place in the world.
It does have an endless supply of amazing scenery and I think we've only seen a wee bit of it! 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures yeah there's loads u haven't seen, u should drive down glen etive Road, it's gorgeous, I put that as a comment as I googled it and it said scotland is number 1 most beautiful country in the world I was wondering if people would agree or disagree haah
@@matthewboothman129 Thanks Matthew, just googled it myself and added it to my google map of places to go. Its hard to judge which is the most beautiful country but there is something really different and special about Scotland which we've not experienced anywhere else in our travels all over Europe ☺️
Long pole ? How does that work😳 Great video by the way😄
Thanks ☺️ I use a mix of a 3m pole and a drone, the pole has a 360 camera on the end which I choose the angles I want in the edit process, its a fair bit of work but it adds an extra dimension to our videos so its worth the effort! 😀 Cheers...Andy & Michelle
Brilliant and amazing video yet again and we been looking forward to this since your last 1, When are you going to be releasing the rest of your videos from Scotland and from your trip to Wales ?
Thanks Mark, good to hear you liked it, the aim is release one a week, it would be more frequent but they take around 20 hours each to edit and I'm back at work full time now. There's another 20+ in the pipeline from the Scotland and Wales trips and we can't wait to share them as the best is yet to come 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
That was a superb video. Love the use of the selfistick in the tree area. At first I was impressed with your flying skills, I thought you had the mini 3 pro , You look the perfect couple you remind of when my kids mum was alive you appear very similar to what we were like. Loved the video Thanks for sharing Ray K UK. YNWA. OH how long is your selfistick and can I ask what camera you use? probably a GoPro at a guess.
Hi Ray...You guessed right - GoPro Max 360 and GoPro 10 (GoPro 7 in this video) The selfie stick is 3m long, together they are great for giving the drone like shots in places where drones shouldn't fly! What gear are you using to attach your insta 360 to your rucksack when canoeing?
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures I was using the insta360 with selfie stick but insta have like a weight lifters belt that like a ratchet the selfie screws to, but to what ever angle you want it at. Brilliant gear we have tho eh? Lol I’m a gadget freak……. Hmm or just maybe a FREAK. Not sure lol.
Incredible scenery and incredible footage, very stunning shots. Did you use a Insta 360 one X2 for this? If so, I haven't seen such sharp footage from this camera.
Hi, glad you like the shots, its from the GoPro Max 360 with some of the footpath shots from a GoPro 7. I'm eagerly awaiting the next generation of 360's this year with improved bitrate, resolution etc! Cheers...Andy
Brilliant…!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 May I ask which time of year this was filmed? The colours are beautiful 😍
Thank you 😊 this was filmed back in early May, Cheers.. Andy&Michelle
Great trek folks 🙂 and filming. Could I ask what the device is that you are using for filming, thanks. 🏴🏴
Thanks 😀 for filming we use the GoPro Max on a long pole, it was quite challenging at times during this trek with the wind! Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Is your stick connected to a drone or something? There were parts on your walk that didn’t look like the stick had anything on the end and it was controlling a drone.
Hi, it’s a 360 camera on the end of a long selfie stick that has some clever technology to hide the stick😀cheers.. Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures thanks.
Do you have a link to it please?
Oh course, here it is... amzn.to/3pKfVVV
