    subscribed! great channel. how does the overall tone and loudness compare to the other hub compatible low back pressure cans (which apparently mostly start with "V") youve tested recently? like the velos, ventum, and vent 3? from what ive been reading the SRBS is in line with the previous cans in terms of performance, which seemed to be 'meh' when compared to the competition; probably better than the RC3 but marginally worse than the others in terms of both sound suppression and back pressure. with huxwrx coming out on top for back pressure and PTR for sound suppression. i still bought one tho lol because mostly everything else wasn't available. i think its the only full inconel one. cobalt scrambler inconel seems like itll give it a good run for the money despite being smaller.

    I have the Rotex X-SF from B&T, which also has the star baffles, and its ridiculously quiet for a 7" 5.56 suppressor with only 2 baffles. Its almost identical to the RC2 from everything I've seen, possibly slightly quieter and less back pressure.

    Wish you would of went more in depth of the differences between the RBS and SRBS. With the RBS, the tax stamp was free and it comes with the surefire mount or A2 birdcage mount for same price. The surefire mount is almost 400$ alone, so is the SRBS worth an additional 50% of cost? What is the sound suppression like between the two? Just curious as I have found retailers selling the RBS compact for 380$, which seems a way better deal vs 950 for a "newer" model. Just wish someone on RUclips would make a video comparing the two. Any first hand experience would be greatly appreciated. Also, great video jeep them coming.

    Is there a reason to buy a low pressure cam if you have a suppressor setting on your gun? Won’t the free flow be louder most of the time?

  • @mr.mr.3301
    @mr.mr.3301 3 месяца назад +1

    I have a question. I’ve been wondering about something. we know that low back pressure cans typically don’t suppress as well as a non-low back pressure can. We also know that a large board can doesn’t suppress as well. So I would be curious what type of suppression and back pressure a 45 Cal can would be like compared to one of the new high flow cans.

    • @Ertactical
      @Ertactical 3 месяца назад +1

      this use to be the case, but there are now a few low BP cans that are quiet. The 45 call can will not be the best at 556, for sure. I hope that answers your Q?

    I already got this bad boy coming in but was wondering one thing while watching. Thank you for the work you do!

    • @Ertactical

    • @JohnZ556
      @JohnZ556 3 месяца назад

      I would love to see that as well. FYI, Alabama Arsenal already showcased an SRBS on SCAR; from the look of it, it didn't even need to switch gas setting.
      The ejection was just behind 3, which was pretty much perfect.
      ODB Inconel HUB will be 2-3oz heavier than SRBS762 Inconel.
      SRBS is now right at 1000(when you bring it home) and in stock(or backorder, but BT's production volume is enormous). ODB Inconel HUB will be close to 1600(if you can find one at all, add 75-100 fee if you buy from 3rd party).
      ODB *might* be quieter, but I personally never going to shoot SCAR or AK without ear pro so a few dB won't matter to me...if you do shoot them without ear pro, don't, you gonna be deaf with either.

    Maybe the commenters can answer a question for me.
    I just picked up an Sig Spear LT in 300 BLK and I’m planning to get a 5.56 barrel or upper for it next year. How would a 7.62 can suppress if I put it on the 5.56 upper? It would be nice to save a little money. I understand it can’t be as good as a 5.56 can. Could someone ball park a percentage?
    Thanks in advance if someone takes a stab at it for me.

      I think you don't need to worry about warranty for either. BT for sure will repair or replace it, and I heard they usually will compensate 200bucks if they must replace it. Should be about the same for Hux except the last part.
      I can confirm that Hux is pretty loud indoors, not as apparent outdoors but you can feel you're making a bigger noise...Unless you're at a very flat place.

    Looks like someone deleted my comment. You can get a dB meter that measures impulse and logs data at over 50k samples / second for $3000.
    Performing measurements like this won't tell the whole story, but having some objective data on noise suppression would be would really make your qualitative analysis more meaningful.
    Simply pick 3 standard platforms and a standard ammo to test each suppressor on (SBR, Carbine, Bolt Action)
    Shame not more people are doing this.
    You have a lot of supressors pew science doesn't. Inconsistenices between your prospective data and PEW's would also make this science more robust.

      Hi Seth, your comment is still showing on the channel, I can see it so I'm not sure why it's not appearing for you. We don't remove comments on the channel. If you found a decibel reader at that price range, please send the info our way and we'd be happy to take a look at it. We looked at a ton of decibel reader options and the problem we found is that they either weren't able to go over 130db and/or they couldn't read fast enough to capture the initial impulse. Another note on cost. Everything you see on this channel we paid out of pocket in one way or another. Even if we get sent a "free" suppressor, we're still paying the tax stamp out of pocket. We wish we had the funding to do everything we want to do. We just launched our website silencersyndicate.com where viewers can buy swag and send us contributions, we'll see how that goes.

      😅 You misheard him. He never said 750 is your total.
      I think he meant that the current deal is so good that if there's no free stamp, you will need to find a place selling for 750. In other words, a free stamp is basically -200 bucks, which on it puts it in the 750 price range if been compared to other cans.
