I mean for the time. Season 7 pl finals was kinda a Cinderella run. If anyone but eg and penta had won at that time, it was a huge upset, some may be blinded by the names of the players thinking that they were a strong team, but they were grouped at si, in a pretty weak group, losing to mindfreak. They won because they were so good at abusing the new meta( kinda like bc)
I really considered putting that on the list. I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking that, but it was still sort of the wild west back then, even if not as much as in years 1 and 2. The biggest thing for me is that them winning wasn't necessarily the surprising thing, it was who didn't win.
Id definitely put Beastcoast top but i would then put Rogue. Their european stage if i remember it correctly was not that of a champion of a major. And Spoit's first majir and the team not having much success at all
Rogue did have a top 4 four finish at Sweden before their win. Yes it was 9 months prior and only 2 of the same players, but it was at least something. Spoit had a killer debut stage leading into the major. Plus the org itself was a lot more recognizable than Team oNe and same thing with a lot of the players. And the tiebreaker match for Team oNe is huge. But you're right, it's probably a much closer call than I made it sound.
Top 4 at copa elite is not impressive by any means. It was ubis way of sorting br6 and the rest of latam for the 4 major spots, if a br team made to copa elite they were pretty much qualified for lan since latams never beaten br on a bo3
It's a really exciting change. Assuming Talon's placement at Manchester wasn't a fluke and they don't get totally figured out, it could be what they need to be a serious threat. I'll probably do another roster change roundup next week.
The Team One run was something from a fairy tail, the whole tie breaker match made it quite memorable
If they had 7-0d Cyclops and no tiebreaker was required how do you think it would stack up?

do y’all know where we can watch the open qualifiers for the R6 Esports World Cup 2024 if we even can watch them.
I would imagine you should be able to watch some or all of the quals, but I haven't come across those details yet.

Obviously it's not super impressive, but it did show that they were one of the better teams in the region and could hang in Bo3s.
