G2 has had declines before they’ll be back

G2 has had some questionable rosters, but they are also the only org to win 2 SIs so I won't count them out.

@@gstanfill8469 they have but this one seems very different than the others. The motivation as other people commented seems to be that factor. Its almost as if “because” we are g2 we should be winning. I think having fabian as coach was pushing that we just arent g2 and should win. We are g2 because we have paved that path to always win. Its crazy to see the new team fabian is coaching has that passion and drive that g2 lost without him. I also could be wrong in every thing i say lol. Hope the best for all the teams and roster changes. I love to see players succeed even if its not the teams i like.

​​@@highgroundatzI'm inclined to think it's either the coach or Alemao (I wanna believe coach because I like Karl). Their coach saying he'd lost faith in his players was really telling. I don't doubt the players were a bit lazy or complacent but the coach needs to establish that working culture and belief that they can do well and need to work hard. Culture is king and that's the coach's job. We've seen how important coaches are with Beastcoast and PSG talon.

Perhaps, but Wolves pretty clearly showed their ceiling was top 8 (and even less lately). Maybe that's good enough for some, but if they wanted to be a title contender it does seem like they had to make a change.

Dropping Biboo I can get behind honestly. He isn’t bad but his ceiling is just not that high But dropping Shiinka is crazy surprising. He was like top 5 support world I feel like

I thought Shiinka was pretty solid. Maybe they could have just made 1 change to see how it would play out, rather than 2. But there are only 2 stages per year now, sometimes you have to do drastic things.

The G2 changes look drastic at face value, but it probably means something we can't see from the outside was very broken.
