Love the sound of the rain…..and at age of 70 and having doggies my whole life I realize they do love to be in their own little world at times….some of those times include being out of the rain or just enjoying a little shower. We had two Springers who loved laying in the snow even when I thought they should come inside….then they made decision to come in and snuggle. They are amazing spirits….as is this campsite…..as long as I had a place to not get wet I could be in an area like this for hours. Another great video.

That little Boomer was a bit camera shy this episode. That's ok, we all have our moods. Love this tarp set up with the cozy hammock! And those rain sounds.. perfect to fall asleep to. The effort you put in really shows. Each camera angle, every bit of foliage in the tight shots, with special attention to color and detail. You're gettin better and better at this! Just spent a week in a Haven Tent right next to the Econfina river in Florida with the "Explore Gods World" Mens trip. Best sleep Ive ever had outdoors. Love your setup.
Hey lone wolf! I bought the Amok Draumr 5.0 greatly because of you. I did it before you had the haven. Now I think it would be good to see someone on RUclips comparing both. Maybe even comparing the comfort to gathered end hammocks like the superior gear or the onewind setups you’ve got. Their winter tarp with doors has advantages over both these systems by blocking the wind unlike the other two. Myself I got a larger tarp for the amok that I can use to block the wind partially, by, setting up my foot end to the wind. Greetings from Portugal.

Also, what are those clips and quick adjustable guy lines you’re using on the tarp, looks like a wick easy method as opposed to tightening on the opposite end of the line. Guess it allows you to keep the clips permanently attached to the tarp. Thanks again for the good video
You seem to like the trangia stove? I really like it too after many years of backpacking and canoeing, for two particular reasons, one is the simplicity, the other thing is that its quiet. It is also a very complete package, a bit bulky but then you just put most utensiles, mathes, salt box, dishsoap bottle and more inside the package. The negative for me is the lack of simmering. Another plus is, its from Sweden...

Anyway… I was wondering if you’ve ever used the trangia stove that you have here in deep deep winter where you’re melting snow for water to cook with and drink. I really like those stoves a lot because I really like the thought of not using something fossil fuel based on a backpacking trip. I also have a few twig stoves as well. Anyway… just wondering. @Lonewolfwildcamping the thing is, I own a amok and in general, I'm happy. But (as you know) getting in and out is kinda annoying. Besides of that, here in Germany wild camping is illegal and the amok is not so stealthy. That's why i was considering the haven tent. In comparison the comfort is so different? Way worse?
The surroundings are beautiful as always, but if it’s even half as cold, windy and rainy as it appears…with no wood stove or campfire in sight? I totally understand Boomer’s grumpiness 😞💙
