It's got to be hard for him. I get stopped at gas stations for my hoodstacked Mercedes diesel car. People asking about it. I can imagine that he gets tired of it.
Here's a GREAT idea . . . You should put a small sticker that says Truck House Life on each of your gas caps, then when you forget the next one, it would be an awesome fine & souvenir!! I love collecting things & I love your channel!!
Im in Winchester VA. A stroke survivor since 2/1/24 and enjoy the channel.could im getting better and hopefully by 2025 i'll be strong enough to get out and enjoy the country and maybe run into you. safe travels.
OMG Land Rover Defender doing its thing over there in the USA!!!!. Really enjoyed this episode Timmy. You've shared a lot of the country, towns and the American way of life that is all new to me and certainly made me think. America is vast. Perhaps I need to come and explore it for myself. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to the next episode. Thanks...
Timmy the blanket is a Hudson Bay Blanket. It is a very old but tough blanket. One of the best you could get! It will keep you warm in Alaska and be sure to only dryclean it as if you wash it yourself it will shrink real bad….enjoy! I have one in my cupboard and it is willed to my son. They are very hard to come by!
The Hudson Bay blankets are awesome. We had six of them growing up traveling from Canada down to Florida in our airstream. Six kids, Mom and Dad, and Grandpa. My great uncle was a Canadian mountie And he gave us six to make sure the kids were nice and toasty. The fun times we had in that airstream cold by the traditional Ford Country squire wood panel station wagon. It was truly a National lampoon vacation every time we went. Spent a lot of time in Vermont and Canada. We ended up purchasing land in the pine barrens with a lake and streams and a cranberry bog and built our own successful campground. That was 1967 that we brought the property, And as a family builted in to a beautiful wooded campground that is still in the family today. That's been over 50 years I believe I haven't bothered to count. My brother and his wife are managing it now but the lake is my happy place and has been since I was a small child. Anyway I think those Hudson Bay blankets might still be around with my brother, I sure loved seeing them when my mom still had them. They always reminded me of good times camping in the woods. Doing the off-season of the campground we always primitive camped in tents. We didn't live at the campground in the school season as there weren't many schools in the area. But we went every weekend and stayed all summer.
It's awesome seeing several of my favorite travelling RUclipsrs interact and have a great time!! You are a blessed man Timmy. Bed bound till I can walk again but already looking into prepping my rig for another trip God willing. Enjoy this blessing that you have! Thanks for bringing us viewers along for the ride.
I was the guy on the bike. What are the odds that in my way to Charlottesville from SC I saw him pull out onto 29? I wouldn’t have been SO surprised if I bumped into ANY other RUclipsr! But TruckHouseLife, from Alaska???? A moment I’ll never forget! 😊
The way you complained about those billboards and pretty much said we should all get along and two seconds later you said you were glad you had your shotgun on you so you can sleep like a baby. My mom and I both started laughing simultaneously 😂😂😂😂😂😂 that was a good one. Enjoying your road trip my friend ❤❤❤
Not to pick but it was more of an observation then a complaint from what I heard from Tim. And the difference between the advertisement for lawyers to sue each other vs having self protection to take care of problems yourself and settling / handling things on your own is exactly the point, for us to all get along and solve problems amongst ourselves not needing lawyers to profit and make money off those situations.
Wow Timmy you have been pretty busy this past month. Awesome places and lots of playtime doing what you love to do!! The truck seems to be doing great. As always I enjoy all your videos. Be safe and Thanks for sharing and taking all of us on some epic adventures 🎉😊❤
Next time you stop at Loves, ask them if they have the green gas cap you left behind by mistake. They probably have several. Just a thought. Safe travels and enjoying your journey. Thanks for sharing
Damn passed right by Huntington, WV. Would of loved to have seen the rig. If you need a great spot to eat on the way back I bartend at Backyard Pizza and Raw Bar in Huntington. Great brick oven pizza. Love following the adventures man!
When I used to have a gas cap, I would leave my door open and put the cap on the Armrest. Made that drive a few times, lots of memories. Love the expo!
Timmy glad folks in my neck of the woods in VA treated you nice. Next time you are on Blue Ridge Pkwy you can typically park at a trail head for the Appalachian Trail. It is really nice sleeping temps that altitude.
TIMMAYYY!!! I drive interstate 64/81 in Virginia every week the exact stretch you were on i would have absolutely lost my mind being able to see you in person out on the other side of the continent! I live close to new river gorge in wv off route 19 and loved seeing you made the point to drive out of your way to see it! Living the dream life!
Good morning from Michigan!! Lived in Virginia for 10 years and I loved it❤ up North Michigan is great for snowmobiling and winter sports. Have a safe trip Timmy 😀
Also, the town with the gold capital building is Charleston West Virginia. Charleston is the capital of my State. I hope you liked driving through it. It is beautiful.
Hi Timmy I love your channel! Here is what you do when you leave your fuel cap...ask for the fuel cap lost and found box at just about any gas station and you will most likely find a cap that works.
I haven’t hauled freight down that way in a few years,I miss it so much, except for the heat & humidity that I encountered in Georgia & florida, especially Florida, that blew my mind. The never ending super dense forest was amazing! And it was so clean, thanks for reminding me of the amazing road trips.
That was nice to see the way you recored that trip to the Expo, the country side is just beautiful viewing all the different towns and Cities, thanks for sharing Tim
Congrats on 600,000.. see you on the trail soon..getting lost in the middle of knowwhere.... you getting me to wantn to kyak..thank you for the insperation and change you are bringing to the world... helping people make plans for their build .get up get out ,dream and love..to wanting to get lost in the mountains..peace
Thank you for sharing so much beautiful scenery!! There are so many gorgeous places to see!! Remembering the Coleman 4+ person big canvas tent with the rubber bottom and our Mallard Duckling camper. I wonder if they are even made anymore?? It was fun to see some of the new styles of campers. Thank you so much for sharing and safe travels!!🛻
Howdy Timmy! Wow you are our old haunts! Been in Texas for 35 years but wife is from Waynesboro Va and we lived in Clifton Forge where our first son was born. U passed there rt before ya got to Lexington! Spent lots of time in the Allegheny mts there and the Blue Ridge where ya r now! Awesome! Guess the party cannot officially get going till the Alaska Cabin gets there! Tks!
Thank you for the nice things you said about Kansas. And from the video I see that you can see there is beauty here. Keep on rockin my friend. Love the videos.
Timmy, check your fuses first for cruise control before tearing the steering wheel apart. You might get lucky. The A/C in my last truck stopped working, freon was good, the clutch on the compressor wasn’t kicking in, I checked the fuses and found a blown fuse. Replaced it and everything was good.
It’s nice to see your back on the road traveling this video you went along way. It was nice that you got to the camper show. They got some really cool stuff there. I’m sure it’s not cheap. You keep doing what you’re doing on the next video.
Thanks Timmy for taking us on a tour of the expo, it's nice to see what goes on and all the cool rigs. Maria or Becca didn't film much so this is awsome. That F-15 was bad a$$. Cldn't believe the $299k price tag on that one. Crazy! Safe travels♡
Great find at the thrift shop with that beautiful wool blanket! Years ago I bought military surplus wool blankets for the family at a thrift shop, great for emergency purposes!
Always good to see you Timmy. You came pretty close to me. I'm in Springfield Ohio up by Dayton. You were probably about an hr. away. Love a good road trip. Keep on trucking. Love ya.
I noticed the Hudson's Bay blanket just before you mentioned it - I thought that was new-to-you! They are the best, I inherited two of them a few years ago. you're right, they are from the 1960s.
My wife is from Illinois, we have to drive through St Louis. That’s the Mississippi River. Traffic is always bad getting through that area. If ever get a minute the Arch is cool. Take the elevator to the top. Keep on Truckin Timmi!😎🇺🇸
Excellent! I'm so excited that you're almost to your Dad's place! That's the part I've been waiting for. The rest has been great, don't get me wrong! Then I hope he comes up to see your cabin! 😁
Welcome back to Virginia. I’m over here in Buckingham County…..the real Heart of Virginia. If you’re ever passing through Dillwyn, feel free to stop at the Emergency Services station, I’m a Lieutenant here, would enjoy getting to meet you and see your rig in person
Your Striped blanket is a Hudson Bay Company Point blanket. Originals were used in the 1700’s in the fur trade with the indigenous people. Originals are labeled with an HBC label.
Tim the trick is to buy two fuel caps next time so when you have a spare you will never forget the main one! And as for the Land Rover might look easy to access but it’s British so oil leaks guaranteed.
Hi 👋 Timmy Dear, You are sure having a Good 😊 Time‼️ My Daughter and I drove the North American Continent to get to Illinois.‼️Nerve wracking , bit scary with full on blizzards. We made it‼️ We went thru Canada and dropped down in the Dakotas‼️ Take Good Care. I'm watching‼️Thank You so much Dear‼️♥️

Such a nice trip!!…i’ve lived in 4 of the areas you passed through on your way to VA but i can’t believe you were that close to me (in Peoria, IL)you’re welcome here anytime!!❤
That old wool blanket is from Hudson Bay an old trading company but I think they're still in business. My great uncle was a Canadian mountie In the '50s and '60s, and brought me and my five siblings one of those blankets. We had an old airstream and pulled it with the old Ford Country squire wood panel station wagon. We went from Canada to Florida but mainly stayed in the Northeast down to Virginia. We actually lived in the pinelands of New Jersey. New Jersey sounds disgusting but the pinelands are beautiful and you can go 20 miles without seeing another building or a car. We stayed toasty warm in those blankets even during primitive tent camps. Hold on to that sucker, it'll last you a lifetime. Ours are still around with one of us kids and we got them around 1965. Just never wash it in water or you will have a placemat or maybe even a pot holder! Happy travels I sure love watching your videos and travels.
Just found your channel. This is awesome, you have a new subscriber. And about the tolls, ya brother you are absolutely right it makes no sense that we still have to pay to drive on roads that have already been paid for. Some of them can get so expensive too. Great content though thanks for taking us along!
You really go above and beyond to put out great content. I was so surprised to hear your dad has never seen your camper, how nice will that be!! What.a fun excursion to say the least.
My wife and I were hoping to see you in Columbia, MO, bit no footage. It was cool to see you heading out East, though. We took the same route out that way over the summer, and got to see a lot of the spots we went through. New River Gorge was one of the highlights.
😢😢You went right by our house we live like 6 blocks off of I-70. Western Kansas is very windy and then windmills are all over the place out there. The closest one to me is in Topeka. I wished we would have seen you come through here. Safe Travels. It's 3pm on Thursday so I'm sure you are in Virginia already. 😭😭🤗💕🤗💕
Hey Timmy . I’m missed your live preview. I’m in Texas visiting mom. Yea. I hate tolls too. Never had them out West, but the East coast has them everywhere. I finally broke down and bought the “EZPASS”. Loved the video. Keep on Trucking!
Loved this. I drove alot of the same roads going to Wyoming to live. And I dispised that lady on map telling me stupid ways to go! I was pulling a 39ft travel trailer and yeah, I went through neighborhoods and very very back roads that weren't fun. LOVES I hit every one from FL to Wy. Yet missed any Buckeys
I see Becca and Maria joining you at the Expo. They are 2 of my favorites along with their doggies. I wish you would consider a little travel partner pup, your life would increase 100% happier, though I know you are happy now living the life we all only dream about.
Looks like y’all had a great time at Expo East Tim with Ria, Becca and Johnny!! Tim was the only one we saw Expo footage from, nice. Still waiting for Johnny to start his channel.😉
I was raised in Kenova!!! 1516 Walnut Street!!! Kenova Elementary & Ceredo Kenova High School is no more… but EVERONI’S Pizza s there on Route 60!!! (The main Drag!).
just saying what's up! Good to see you out there living large bro! I built my own truck camper back in 2002/2003 and bought a 2004 ram 2500, 5.9 cummins. I still have the truck, about to hit 300,000 miles. A few weeks ago I decided to cut the cabover off the camper, and the side walls and back wall. So, all I have now is the bottom portion. After 22 years it had a little bit of rot which I decided to cut out and completely remodel it to make it a little smaller and lighter. I'm from NC but lived in it out west in Colorado, Montana, and all around back when I was working as a logsmith building handcrafted log homes. I lived up in Kenai for a year doing gps work for Homer electric back in the day... so between the southern roots, truck camper and AK I feel like we're kinda cut from the same cloth so to speak. Anyway my wild days were before you tube, but I am filming this rebuild/ remodel and might throw up a little channel and possibly get back out there at 50 yrs old. A long term relationship and 15yrs working in the propane industry recently came to an end, big life changes happening and my truck camper is being resurrected for this new phase of life that I'm moving into. My name is DJ, dark blue ram 4x4 longbed 4 door with a homemade box camper on the back. Keep an eye out! Keep truckin' dude! Maybe I'll see you out there somewhere one day!
Awesome video as always Timmy. Expo East is such an awesome event to experience. Thanks for letting us ride along with you on your adventures.

$556 a blanket!!! Did I read that right?
Your videos has got me through some rough times. Thank you.

I hope you don't feel the need to "upgrade" your gear, as a big part of the channel is this charming 7.3L diesel guzzler :D
Agree ..7.3 engine is one of the best...have a 7.3 F250 myself!

Put a sticky note on your dash “CHECK DIESAL CAP” . YW 😂

Made that drive a few times, lots of memories.
Love the expo!
When you stopped at the Pilot going through Boonville MO you were about 5 miles from the ranch where they raise those beautiful Budweiser Clydesdales!
That blanket you bought from the thrift shop is called a Hudson Bay trade blanket. Made and traded from the 1700 up to late 1970.

You should come to the western side of Virginia and I’ll take you to Mount Rogers. You would love it.
Love your video Timmy and getting to travel through all different countries 👍👍🤗🤗
I see Becca and Maria joining you at the Expo. They are 2 of my favorites along with their doggies. I wish you would consider a little travel partner pup, your life would increase 100% happier, though I know you are happy now living the life we all only dream about.
Hey Timmy didnt know u knew roaming reckless
Maria
Timmy your vids are great 👍
Looks like y’all had a great time at Expo East Tim with Ria, Becca and Johnny!! Tim was the only one we saw Expo footage from, nice. Still waiting for Johnny to start his channel.😉
Thanks .. for sharing your travels with us ..
I like your truck camper the best.
I'm from TN and Kudzu is everywhere. It was brought here to control erosion on our mountains but they obviously didn't understand how invasive it was.
I was raised in Kenova!!! 1516 Walnut Street!!! Kenova Elementary & Ceredo Kenova High School is no more… but EVERONI’S Pizza s there on Route 60!!! (The main Drag!).
That rest area East of Louisville is awesome. Stopped there many times when I was stationed at Ft. Knox.
Cool. I work in Arlington Va
It was sad you had to leave early, we missed you Saturday. But hey, I'm still listening to my Shoot Dang CD.
That Iowa blanket, looks like a Hudson Bay or a Faribo. Google it, you may be surprised. Love the videos
Canada has lots of Hudson Bay blankets.. Looks like one. they arent cheap.
just saying what's up!
Yes! I my girl Ria😊
