Amber, thanks for your easy to understand explanation. I just got gimp and I am so glad I found your video. I have drawings on paper that I want to digitize. I just did the first one and it came out amazing, thanks to you. You are awesome. Peace.
I have never taken a single class and this helped me create an image I could print as a vinyl sticker with my Cricut machine. super easy to navigate and follow along.
thank you so much for this!! was having a hard time trying to find a software i could digitize my logo on, super useful vid and easy to understand. you're the best
Hi Amber, thank you for sharing. I am trying to digitize my pencil/marker drawings to use on Etsy or Redbubble. Nice video, but for me it didn't work quite the same, because my drawing is in colour. I will check out your other videos to see if you have a video about coloured images. All the best, Rachel (the Netherlands)
Thanks! Worked except I couldn't delete like some others so I right clicked and edit>cut. Using levels is better than exposure for adjusting white and black. Just drag the sliders in a bit. This avoids over exposing everything and only effects the black and white spectrums more.
Try right clicking on the white background and hit cut! Make sure your exposure is high enough so the paper shadows are out like our friend is saying in the video 👍🏾 was running into the same issue you were and this helped. Hope it helps you too!
Thank you for this tutorial! It's absolutely perfect, and brilliantly explained.
Went through hours of watching vids before finding you. This is awesome. Thanks!

Same thing happened to me, but I just erased the colour which was there before
Thank you so much! =)
This tutorial saved me but also if you have a PNG you can just (poof) the background with the fuzzy selection.
