I just got back from the range with my Laminate (SS 20" barrel) R95 where I tried the Hornady 160gr Leverevolution for the 1st time. It shot 3/4" groups consistently at 100 yards! Worst 3-shot group was 1.01" CTC. Best group was 0.76", and the other 3 groups 0.77", 0.78" and 0.84". I let the barrel cool for 8-10 min. between groups (I shot my AR during cool down). I use a Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x40 scope at 11x magnification (my eyes aren't good). The R95 is very accurate and consistent, and actually exceeded my expectations. I was just using a 30lb sandbag and didn't bring my lead sled this time. Remington 150gr Core Lokt Soft Pt. is the 2nd best mine likes, and that averages 1" groups. Best group I got with Rem.CoreLokt was 0.92" but it's very consistent with Rem. - 1" to 1.2" @100. It doesn't like the Rem, Fed. or Win. 170 grain as much. Mine prefers 150gr soft point from those 3 popular manufacturers. NOTE: if you are going to use Hornady 160gr you should know that I had to season the barrel with it. It took 6-7 shots for the groups to tighten up. I was zeroing the scope with Hornady at 50yds (has different POI than Rem. Core Lokt) and the first 3-shot group was just over 1" which was disappointing at first, but I kept shooting, and 2nd group was 0.6" and 3rd group 0.37" with 2 in the same hole. So it got a lot better the more I shot it w/Hornady, and then I moved the target to 100 yards. The R95 30-30 right now is only about 0.1" behind 2 of my best shooting bolt guns with match ammo. Go figure 🙂 I am very happy right now with sub-MOA groups, and I 'd have a hard time believing it if I didn't bring the targets home with me and measuring with the digital caliper. It shoots better than my Marlin 336 and wife's Win. 94 both in 30-30. But they are both blued and I wanted a Stainless and Laminate 30-30 and luckily I got a winner, except for the issue with ejecting live rounds (get stovepipes).
You should let the barrel cool after 3 shots. As you saw the group opened up considerably after 3 shots. That first 3-shot group is what the gun is capable of before the barrel gets hot and affects accuracy. My R95 stainless 20" does the same thing. First 3 shots are always good and tight, but after that forget it without a cool down period. I was hoping I could get 5 shots before the heat affects accuracy, but nope, it will give you shotgun pattern with the 4th and 5th shots. I get that with all my deer rifles that don't have a heavy barrel. Some will only give you a good group with the first 2 shots (like my 30-06).
YES! I got mine a month ago and it will NOT eject live/unfired rounds at all. I get stovepipes with every ejection. I have to pull on them hard to get them out of the extractor. The gun does eject the empty cases just fine though. Were you able to find the cause of this issue? I was going to send it to Braztech but everyone is telling me not to, because they take 5-6 months to return your gun and half the time they don't fix the issue(s). So I guess they have terrible lead times and service 😞 I might take it to a local gunsmith if I can't find the fix for it... but the problem again is similar - the gunsmith in my county and the other in the adjacent county are backlogged for 4 months!
I got the triple black and love it. The iron sights themselves are really accurate
those first 3 at 100 is the true accuracy of that rifle. Impressive. the rest of the shots is about what a hot barrel would do.
yes and still accurate enough for hunting at a reasonable distance.
I was looking for accuracy at 100 yards with Rossi 16.5” barrel. Thank you
I’m picking up my R95 on saturday, it’s the blacked out version. I hardly wait.
i bet you will enjoy it a lot
how is the triple black? I am considering one too.
@@oldvet6030 I love it, looks cool and it shoots wonderfully

Fantastic scope! 👍
Yes, i like it a lot

I was trying to show what you could expect with multiple shots eve with a hot barrel its acceptable for reasonable distance hunting application.
I like the pistol grip look. I wish they made one in 44 c ..
They do
@houndhunter4106 too late I already bought a Henry big boy
I've never seen a Rossi with a pistol grip in 44 cal
Don’t know how old it is, but the wood looks better fit than the ones that I’ve seen in the stores this year.
i would say pretty good chance its less than 1 yr old
@@randomreviews7574 looks great
Any issues with yours not ejecting live rounds all the way ? Just got one recently and it started doing this
No, cant say i have had that issue.

Any range update with this model and the accuracy
coming soon!!
What ammo does your rifle like?
Prvi Partizan 150gn -- Cheap but decent
Nice wide lever
yes, almost to wide, but still fits heavy gloves
Length of pull ?
13.75 inches
Very Nice.
Many many thanks
How's the recoil on it? I just ordered one myself.
not bad with those rounds in the video. it very manageable IMO
@@randomreviews7574 is it real loud if had to shoot without ear protection?
one shot is prob doable but i would not want to do it multiple times@@casejasnoch2533
@@randomreviews7574 ok. I was just hearing that with the short barrel it was. Sometimes when hunting you don’t have time for ear protection.
Hopefully it's better than the R92
Never had r92 but this one is nice
I want one in 444
Accuracy socks
how accurate do need a 30/30 to be.
I don’t know, looks pretty accurate to me and at 100 yards
