Tesla Replacing Mercedes?

Today we jump into my theory that Mercedes left a whole in the car industry and that Tesla is filling that hole. I draw comparison between Mercedes Legendary W140 S-Class and Tesla's controversial Cybertruck.

Tesla does take some unconventional approaches to car design, but it's nowhere near the level of Mercedes in its prime. What Mercedes introduced soon became standard for all cars of all manufacturers: programmable crumple zones, ABS, ESP, airbags, parking radars etc. Btw Mercedes was the first to certify Level 3 Autopilot, not Tesla. Tesla engineers do cool things, but that doesn't make Tesla the new Mercedes anyway
