all i can say is thank you for everything you do,im a 12 yr old girl and i got guinea pigs last summer, sadly, when i got them i did not know what proper care was. for about 6-8 months they lived in a cage that wasn't a suitable size, but i came across your channel. and i begged my dad to give me a loan for the summer for a proper cage size, and thankfully, he agreed. now my pigs are happy, safe, and healthy thanks to u. so all i want to say its thank u!!
IM 12 AND A GIRL TOO!! I don’t have Guinea pigs but I have rabbits. I LOVE learning about other animals though. I may be able to pull of the pigs though because I have 9 rabbits. (Yes i know. I’m too spoiled sorry lol.)
@@wellhill4017 rabbits? We’ll just make sure to keep them away from Guinea pigs, rabbits can injure them with their strong legs or just bully the Guinea pig leading to stress

I have a feeling by your first reaction you're going to keep this cutie...but if you need a little budge, please keep him. He is adorable and I would love to see him in the pig room with all the other piggies. Great work as usual, you are the best. 😊
I hope that one day you are able to purchase a huge house where you can run your own little pig room rescue. People like you can make such a difference in the world.
16:00 I really love the advice here. Critique on pet care is super sensitive since most believe they're not in the wrong. I've felt like that when I left my dogs outside for no longer than an hour and I got a call from the home owner saying I'm abusing them cuz they had no food or water out. It wasn't hot out, they had shade, they're on a strict feeding schedule to control potty breaks since they're indoor dogs, and everybody is trained. Now whenever I rescue others I understand they can just as easily feel defensive how I felt being told all those untrue assumptions
I love these videos, I personally don’t own Guinea pigs anymore but I love to see how you care for your pigs, your rescues, and the quality.I mean the cages you set up look better than my bedroom!
glad you rescued him! I saw a guinea pig living in a FISH tank near me and i couldnt take him so I found a guinea pig rescue that was hopefully able to help.
Hi just wanted to say I stumbled upon your channel today and I watched like half of your videos😂, you are doing a great work with the piggies and your voice is so therapeutic for me idk why lol but yeah keep up the good work💪🏼
I just want to say how much respect I have for you ita so heart warming to see some one who cares so so much about these animals!thank you so much for what you do. I'm so glad to support some one as wonderful as you!:)

I just found your channel and this video is so clear and informative - looks like you already have a great bond with your new piggie and you really seem to care X
He’s so cute! I rescued my first guinea pigs yesterday and they’re so cute! They love their cage and obviously they love their food! Their names are Eddie(Edward the 5th), Lena(Helena) and Lizzie/El(Elizabeth)
It appears the rescue Baldwin feels really relaxed and comfortable with you and he's super cute. I hope you consider keeping him. He will be an awesome addition to The Pig Room.
I wish I had your channel to learn from when my family had a Guinea pig when I was a little kid in the early 2000s! We did our best and my mom did a lot of research, but there just wasn’t as much information out there about how to properly care for a pig and if we had known more then, we probably would have done things differently. Now if I ever get another Guinea pig, I’ll know what to do! You’re improving lives for Guinea pigs and their owners one video at a time!
Omg he is sooooo cute!!!! Love the name! He is such a lucky boy to be part of the Pig room family!!!I love hairless piggies. I have 4 skinnies and 1 Baldwin. You gave some amazing advice for hairless piggies!!! He could not be in better hands!!!Thank you so much for everything you do for these sweet babies!!!

OMG, that is one of the cutest critters I’ve seen in a long time (excluding my super cute dog! 😉)! That black spot with the matching black ear is just sooo cute… Can you imagine all the cute sweaters you could knit, crochet and sew for him??? It could get it’s own little wardrobe… LOL, I’m getting carried away here, just from seeing this cute boy… 😍🥰💓❤️💓🐷💓❤️💓
I have a skinny pig and I would describe their skin feeling the same as our own eyelids. Ollie is super cute! How about a water dish to make sure he is drinking?
I love you guys! You are one of the best! I have learned so much from you. I have 2 boys and 3 girls in 2 large C&C cages. Please keep up the great work.
All 3 of my male pigs love to climb to their loft and will jump up on top of their hides all of the time. I agree the cage he was in was very inadequate!
Thank you for rescuing this sweet boy! I’ve actually heard that coconut oil(or any kind of oil) isn’t safe for skinnies or baldwins. It can actually clog their pores and cause skin issues. If they do have crust or any kind of dry skin, there is an underlying issue.
a little tip from someone who has skinnys, I've seen some poeple who give their pigs a rub down with coconut oil every few days or on some kind of routine. I would caution against this. I find that when i give my hairless guinea pig coconut oil it can almost make his skin more dry. I think its because when you apply coconut oil often, the guinea pigs skin will stop producing its own natural oils,,,, aka it becomes dependent on coconut oil for moisture. My vet and I agreed that only using coconut oil in extremely small doses and only when NEEDED. This means not washing your big with soaps often. Im talking like once or twice a year and if needed. When my skinny pig gets dirty i will clean him with a damp cloth (only water, no soap). I only use soap if its SUPER necessary. Washing your skinny will remove his natural oils and lead to very try skin. I hope this wasn't too dis-jointed of a post, just thought id touch on what works for me and my piggies. Of course, the best advice comes from a vet so always turn to them!
Ollie is adorable! I would describe the feeling when you hold him like a chamois covered hot water bottle! I had rescued a cat who came with the name Oliver and was also called Ollie! He even came with his own cat tree so he could look out windows! All my pets now are indoors and all are rescues. I used to have guinea pigs and rabbits For many years. Bunnies are more reliably litter box trained but much as I would like a few Piggies again I fear living with noisy dogs would terrify them and wouldn’t want any animal to live always feeling stress or fear. My pigs used to play with cats they loved to sneak up and nibble on the tail! But definitely not for kids I agree with you there. All animals need to have an adult responsible for their wellbeing, cant rightly expect that from a child. Parents can show kids to help with tasks but never should a child be expected to remember all the things that a pet needs and carry them out without supervision.
It's always exciting to see how the cages are set up in countries other than mine (Germany). I don't want to condemn that at all. We focus on natural bedding with hay and straw, only natural decoration. absolutely no plastic. exciting! Nevertheless, I believe that the guinea pigs have a wonderful life with you. And that is the main thing. :) Your work is very important, thank you very much for it!!

Hi Austin, Thanks again for rescuing this little boy! I don't know if this is something you might need to do for Ollie. I actually watched that entire video before rescuing him ❤️ My house does not fall below 65 degrees so the temperature is perfectly manageable for him especially with his cuddle sack! I also put a pig mat on top of the tree trunk house to insulate it even more for him! He’s settling in very nicely ❤️
Omg you are literally my favourite RUclipsr lol but I think the cage is a bird cage because the compartment at the bottom is for bird seed and there is a tray at the bottom and bird cages come with all those features. Also the lock on the door is a very big give away and the spaces between the bars are for branches. Hope that you see this❤
I'm not a fan off the hairless guinea pigs but this one is really cute. I think you're right....he wouldn't be as cute without the black ear and black eye patch.
Ollie is so lucky and so are you! Unfortunately in Australia we can't get hairless pigs. I hope you keep him so I can live vicariously through you. I do have two boys and I love them, despite their hair 😛
I have rescued so many animals recently and out of the 20+ rescued only half of them actually have been rehomed so I currently have 16 pigs which will stay with me till and if they find there homes. But they will have a home with me no matter what. I have dealt with some horrible situations but all I needed to do was just get them out of there. And that’s what matters. I’m just as nice as possible to them and then will sort the situation when we get them xx
I once worked in a petstore that only took small/exotic animals and reptiles from legitimate rescues that have had them to long, like the how the Humane Society will try to adopt out a cat at Chuck & Dons basically but it's a petstore. We had degus and an iguana, a tarantula, some different species of frogs, ferrets, but what I lived was the Baldwin guinea pig, there was just one, and these 2 bonded skinny pigs, one had white fur and one had black skin black fur. I mainly just handled the crickets we sold, helped with the beta fish and ran the cash register but sometimes I got to feed the pigs their vitamins and give them coconut oil behind their ears on on their paws, that was my favorite part of working there I think.
He is so enjoying that body massage with Coconut rub. I just now found out that piggies need cleaning of beans like a male horse from his sheath. Who knew. I learned something new.
This is my favorite video you've ever posted. I can't believe you finally got a hairless guinea pig 😍 (I know it's just a rescue but anyway). When you both said "Oh I love him!" right after you picked him up, I smiled so hard. That's the effect skinny pigs/baldwin pigs have on you. Their personalities are always so lovable and they are the most social breed out there in my opinion. They are so fun to watch too. I have a herd of skinny pigs and I fell in love with all of them in a matter of seconds. Can't wait for updates on him! ❤️
He is so precious! Of course you are a great pig daddy but you have a lot of piggies. I would advise you to only keep him if you really feel like you have time to do those extra things he needs. ❤️
I would have called him Petey from “our gang “or Suds McKenzie. I’m old. ☺️ Anyway so cute and I’ll be happy to watch him every week!
spuds I meant
The vacuum seems like such a good investment! I might consider it because I'm disabled and can't clean everyday or strongly
I’ve just realised that the rat cage is the same as mine 😂 …..
Poor baby they must of been traumatised xx
He is so precious! Of course you are a great pig daddy but you have a lot of piggies. I would advise you to only keep him if you really feel like you have time to do those extra things he needs. I hope you can keep him because I'd like to see his life moving forward. He's a very special boy! You did a good deed. Thank you for all of your efforts for happy and healthy piggies!
