they certainly are not "meat rabbits (meat rabbits are much bigger) but some people will often eat any kind of rabbit. I agree that this guy is probably just going to allow them to breed and plans to eat them
I kind of get the feeling, maybe the real reason so many people tried to stop your rescue attempt is just because they didn't want you in the area because they are doing suspicious things. I was trying to rescue a dumped rooster at a local beach park and some lady drove by and yelled at me from her car "leave them alone they live here!" And she was so upset that I'd be try to get him into a safe home instead of a park where coyotes are frequently seen, because the park was his home. There used to be two and she admitted she hadn't seen the other for a couple of days. Some people don't understand.

why would someone let an animal they want to consume eat trash and catch diseases outside? that's not how you keep animals for food unless you want to make yourself sick
I'd say probably not for meat (or if they were, they're particularly stupid). Leaving them out in the rain and accessible to predators significantly increases their chance of dying (can't safely eat an animal that you don't know exact cause and time of death), stress makes the meat taste terrible, the best way of dispatching a meat rabbit requires the rabbit to be calm when handled, and leaving a rabbit on an area like that has the risk of the rabbit eating something poisonous (if the rabbit doesn't die from that, it could make whoever eats its meat sick).
I wish more people understood the care rabbits need. Even people like my dad who use them for meat give them a safe space indoors following a FULLY ENCLOSED outdoor pen (top bottom and sides are all chicken wire, the bottom gets covered in dirt and we plant seeds for plants they can eat). Both of these factors together along with the fact that we continually monitor weather and basically everything else in their lives. Heck we don’t even buy pellets for ours, we grow our own vegetables and hay they eat! Rabbits in any state, need to be cared for, I have personally watched a rabbits decline after being abandoned. Please remember to do your research before getting any animal!

Then another disappeared, and the 3rd was out there OVER TWO YEARS. I had 2 females and the third female I got ended up being a male and they had 3 litters. This video had me on the edge of my seat. You are such an amazing person, Austin. What you and Ava are doing by attempting to rescue these rabbits is just so heartwarming. I am so sorry that you are running up against such despicable people. I really hope that you can get some help from animal control. You should not have to face these people without having some form of law enforcement with you. Those three little bunnies that you have rescued are so precious. Little do they know that their lives have changed forever. I pray that they find wonderful new homes and are loved and treasured, as they certainly deserve.
In my town, they wouldntlast the night. I hear coyotes howling all the time.Coyotes have a right to exist too btw. My last rescue pets were 4 rats living in filth. One died. Another almost did, but my vet saved him. I still have them and they are doing great. ❤️ Go get them! They depend on you.
So happy you stepped in and rescued the buns! I have 3 buns and wouldn't dump them even if i couldn't take care of them. My heart is happy they are safe with you !❤

Thank you so much for being such a good human being, I own 18 bunny's and they are my life. People dump rabbits and abandon them just because they don't research on how to take care of them and how high maintenance they are😢
I just got a bunny the other day! 2 yrs old she was a show rabbit. I don't know why they rehomed her bc she's so so sweet and pretty! I just got her some toys and food. Learning all I can now! My son's been wanting a bunny for awhile

I rescued a little bunny like a yr and a half ago a lady found him under her car(she thought he had a broken leg thank goodness he didnt). She brought him to me and he had his own room sadly my friend took him because i moved and there wasnt an extra room for him like at my old house. She had a whole room set up for him it was so sweet.
The black and white bunny looks very similar to my bunny named Moo that passed away. Omg my heart ❤😭 Thank you so much for helping them! You're so kind and we need more people like you in this world❤
I think the owner told him to say it was his rapids, but it’s not his the guy that was driving around, said to him to say that it was his if he sees you again
Blows my mind the original owner that dumped the rabbits was watching you like that. The audacity to cause this and do nothing to help 😠 I would report his a$$ for abuse. Makes me so mad! I'm glad your friend was there to help you get this rescue done. Bless you! ❤
it’s so angering and frustrating that people don’t care about the lives of animals. they have feelings and thoughts just like we do! thank you austin for everything that you do 🖤 god knows what would happen to these bunnies if you hadn’t stepped up to save them
I remember getting a call to our rescue that someone had dumped 47 domestic rats into local bushland to "set them free". It was an emergency situation as it was already sunset and raining, and there are a lot of snakes in this area. Seeing a bunch of wet, frightened rats literally running up to people for rescue was heartbreaking. I'll never understand people.

Thank you for your work, I have a rescue rabbit who was dumped by a daycare who didn’t want him. I got him malnourished but now he is a healthy chunker and is living the best life. Keep it up and thank you it makes my heart warm while also making me mad for people who dump innocent animals.
Aww poor buns, that was so nice of you to rescue them. You did such a great job editing this, it was like a documentary!
Those rabbits are probably food, honestly.
King energy!!! The rabbits look so good setup inside with your love and care ❤
I love you sm!❤ I’m so happy to see people not buying baby animals from the pet store but instead rescuing them❤❤
This is incredible You are so amazing for trying to save all of these bunnies the bunnies are so lucky for you!
When city kids don't know what a wild rabbit looks like. 😂
your channel literally is my safe space when stimming thank you so much
In my town, they wouldntlast the night. I hear coyotes howling all the time.Coyotes have a right to exist too btw. My last rescue pets were 4 rats living in filth. One died. Another almost did, but my vet saved him. I still have them and they are doing great. ❤️ Go get them! They depend on you.
Thankfully no coyotes here! If there were, they surely would have been around for longer than a day 😣
Thank you ❤❤❤ so much for saving the poor babies ❤❤❤❤
So happy you stepped in and rescued the buns! I have 3 buns and wouldn't dump them even if i couldn't take care of them. My heart is happy they are safe with you !❤
I can't wait to see part 2! Thank God for you!
Please be careful they don't mix with your current bun as they could be carrying something like pasturella , sniffles or worse. So please isolate from ur current bunny
Good luck x
I'm so glad you at least got to catch some of them. I'm praying you are able to catch the rest. Who would do this? I hope you find out because they need to ve held accountable
Thank you so much♥
Love all your hard work time and devotion to rescue the bunnies omg it's so horrific that some ppl just don't know or don't care about their pets I really don't understand how they don't know how to take care of an animal but it's terrible don't get any kind of pet if your not going to take care of it properly like you would want to be taken care of !!!
You are a gem of a young man.
So glad you were able to rescue them, thanks so much for all your advice on keeping pigs and buns!! X
There are rabbits around my neighbourhood that need to be rescued, I’ve gotten so close, trying everyday!
Thank you for doing what you do! You are truly anamazing human being. I know exactly how you feel because I have just rescues 2 males (3 weeks old) from a 2x3 cage with 7 others in it :(. We all appreciate your work and I hope you and your animals have an amazing 2024! Best wishes :)
My son's been wanting a bunny for awhile
thank you so much for doing this!!! you are amazing❤❤❤❤❤
thank you for rescuing them!!
Thank you for all you do! I’m so invested, need part two! ❤

I've told my daughter to follow you, she is getting a rabbit tomorrow. So it would be good for her to see people who rescue them
I love him❤
Just some advice rabbits come out at midday like 5 or 6pm
😊😊😊❤❤❤
I rescued a little bunny like a yr and a half ago a lady found him under her car(she thought he had a broken leg thank goodness he didnt). She brought him to me and he had his own room sadly my friend took him because i moved and there wasnt an extra room for him like at my old house. She had a whole room set up for him it was so sweet.
The black and white bunny looks very similar to my bunny named Moo that passed away. Omg my heart ❤😭
Thank you so much for helping them! You're so kind and we need more people like you in this world❤
17:10 my best friend used to have a bunny that looked just like this, her name was Lilith
WOW ❤❤so nice of you
Omg thank u so much for saving those rabbits!! They didnt deserve to be dumped...😔❤
No animal deserves to be dumped 😢
@@ThePigRoom thats right!❤
Thank you for rescuing them bunnies you and your friend are absolute angels god bless you both ❤❤
Thank you!
Thank you for doing this. ❤
austin youre an animal hero..! you are my favorite channel on youtube and such an inspiration for animal lovers.
Bless you! ❤
You are a saint thank you
it’s so angering and frustrating that people don’t care about the lives of animals. they have feelings and thoughts just like we do! thank you austin for everything that you do 🖤 god knows what would happen to these bunnies if you hadn’t stepped up to save them
I can't believe so many people were annoyed at you trying to save domesticated rabbits from being outside!
Finally a rescue video, your a good person. ❤
This was amazing to watch. ❤
I just got a bunny today! And I’m so happy!❤❤ i hope these buns will be ok🐰🫶🏻
I hope so too! 😥
You're incredible! I wish everyone was like you!
Excellent ending, love the camera work and editing BUT I love the buns the best. Thanks and God Bless Ontario Canada.
Keep doing what you are doing because this world needs kind people like you❤
