The reason why your tent broke is because it didn't have an load bearing cross members. I work in the event industry business for the past 10 years. Seen wind and other natural weather events tear up some quality equipment before. No one realizes how heavy that canvas avatually is, especially wet and cold. 😅 recommended getting some pole braces so the weight of the snow doesn't break your tent this time.
My parents use one to park a golf cart year round over in Hayward. So like you they get the snow. First one didn’t make it through the winter. The second one is a snow load rated one. Even with that they do their best to clear the snow off after every snow fall. So far that one has lasted five years.
I'd go have a nice talk with the neighbors asap. Just explain you bought the land to use, hunting included, and not to come on your land for any reason during hunting season. If they can't keep up with their dog, they need to build a pen to keep it in. Also, use a harness when you are in the stand. I have two friends who have fallen. Mav - You may want to take down that tent during the winter, at least during the snow season. Given how much snow Minnesota can get, it may be difficult even for this tent to make it through the winter without collapsing. I live in New England, and I have to take down my tent each year before it snows. I left one up once, and it collapsed the moment we got a good snowfall. A foot or two of snow can be very heavy, especially once it melts, hardens, and ice forms within the snow. Food for thought at least. Great video as always!
Great video as always. One trick i learned was to smash apples with my feet before getting close to my stand. Then rub the apples around the bottom of my leggings. You could even pour a little bit of apple juice around the base of your deer stand. The apple juice camouflages your human scent. And i would post some serious no trespassing signs for sure

Mav, you need to have "no trespassing" signs along the perimeter of your property. That way, everything is legal and on your side. Post signs every 10 feet or so, so nobody has an excuse saying they didn't see them. That's what we had to do, unfortunately. It's sad people don't have respect anymore these days.

To clarify, any clothing worn above the waist except sleeves and gloves needs to be blaze. Blaze can be orange or pink or camo-blaze. If it's camo-blaze the pattern needs to be at least 50% blaze. This includes small-game hunters hunting during deer seasons.
Not from MN and do not know it's rules & regs. Is it the same rules & regs for hunting on personal property, and the property posted or not? Dunno, it's different in every state.
Your stove/fire problems are almost 1000% for sure using WAY too big of splits. The firebox on my smoker is 3-4 times bigger than your wood-stove here, and even I use smaller logs than you are. You have to feed it more often, for sure, but that's almost certainly your issue. Too big of logs, not enough airflow, smothered fires. Use smaller splits and set alarms to feed it more often and you'll be golden.
Mav, can you guys make the campfire grid fleece into a hoodie? Maybe add a couple of colors. I would wear that every day if you could make that happen. Love the crew neck, but a hoodie should be next. Love your products!

MN requires 50% blaze upper body!
True. That hat ain’t cutting it.
Shut up Mr. DNR
@ public or private is same rules here in MN
I would suggest to not touch a rub on the tree. They will smell that. Great video. Glad to see the tent back up
I’m finally here early thank god
Thanks for the video MAV! I hope you get yourself a big buck soon!
Wear your harness in that stand man! Crazy stuff happens.
Love the hunting content though, can’t wait for more this season!
Time to sharpen that saw😂
I was dying watching that. He definitely dipped that into the dirt a couple times. its dull as hell
Thinking the same thing
That’s a great deal Mav! Looking great !
get some foam squares that interlock for extra flooring
Mav you should make a quick e-book on some recipes you using. Always look so delicious and I suck at choosing foods for hikes
Try to get to your stand 3-4 hours before dark. You’ll spook deer getting in that late.
Mav, can you guys make the campfire grid fleece into a hoodie? Maybe add a couple of colors. I would wear that every day if you could make that happen. Love the crew neck, but a hoodie should be next. Love your products!
I’d put some styrofoam boreds along the walls and roof to keep any air flow from coming in and also to keep the heat in!! Would also sturdy it up a bit as well

Still voting for more fat biking this winter. Love to see a seasoned rider guide you to make riding way easier and more fun. Also like to see you try a snow dog with a sled in tow with your camping gear. Maybe back to your tent site. Or a hard to get to ice fishing spot
Just imagine him sleeping and having that canvas tent falling down on him
Y’all don’t have snow yets?!
lol Pure Michigan
We definitely gots it.
Glad you got to take advantage though.
Yess!
Ice fishing
2025!
Yippee
Omg your grunting and rattling is scaring everything away! Warning snorts really good idea aah🤙
It's not a warning snort. It's called a snort wheeze and bucks will challenge each other with that call. It's a great way to get big bucks to come in and see who's in his turf.
Even though you didn't get a deer, I thoroughly enjoyed everything about the video.
I hope you didn’t throw the canvas away. If you have no use for it I bet someone could really use that and make a shelter with a wooden frame Not sure what your homeless population is by you but here in Massachusetts some folks live in the woods so that could come in really handy for the less fortunate ❤
5:52 remind me not to go wood cutting with Mav aha jk
Great vid as always Mav, sure hope your wearing a safety rope/tether when your in the stand. Falling from a tree stand never ends well, a saftey tether/rope will keep you from getting paralyzed. Also what's the rifle details? im sure RUclips wont let ya make a video without getting "demonitized" but think you can talk about it in the comments.
Just purchased the outland fleece jacket, great price and looking forward to it!
Really enjoy the hunting content Mav. Just my opinion but I would move that stand to the edge of the pines to give you more cover. You’re right out in the open. It would hide you, protect you from the weather and give you some cover scent too. Just some hillbilly thoughts from a WV deer hunter. Keep on huntin😁
Awesome momma bro🤘
Hope this Tent is Better Constitution and Better Material? Awesome Videos! 😂
Let’s get the white f150 baby truck back 🥺😎👌
It didn't look anything like chili. Lol good attempt tho kid.
@ what do u mean lol?😂
