I had this issue with cam sensor most probably needs a timing chain mine was on 66000miles if she rattles slightly then yep. Crap job to do.👍

Maybe the sensor picks up the build up of pressure that can't escape through the exhaust

Wonder what a ranger rover main dealer would do/charge to correct that fault had the owner took it in there. I have a guess they change the dpf and charge about £1000- £1500

£1890 landrover dealer charged me to replace mine in Febuary this year. That's only because it was missing the shield that us attached underneath, so it failed its MOT. Wasn't happy 😕

Cam sensor could be timing chain related, it's not uncommon on igenium diesel.

what's with the camshaft situation, did you research that

If you notice it was related to bank1 so it was relating to emissions once a regen has been carried out the camshaft bank1 reads no fault. Am sure it come up because the camshaft believe its right but the emissions are incorrect

Just cleaned my ad blue injector and still have the fault. Do you need a computer to reset the fault? First it was showing incorrect fluid in exhaust but then changed to dosing malfunction

Yes you need a scan tool. Try filling the adblue to the top too

How much fluid is needed for these DPF's ?

The tank holds a little over 10 gallons, but you'll unlikely be able to use 2 2.5g bottles since you'll have residual fluid always in the tank.
