It was phyraxian mana not compleated. Wich in this case was 1green or 2 life
Ian Malcolms effect is a triggert abillity and not a replacement effect. So when he played the Burning inquiry at around 15:30, the Burning Inquiry should have resolved first and then the Ian Malcolms triggers should have resolved
I was actually just asking my commander community when those effects triggered. sounds like I was right and they use the stack so anything that draws 2 and has other effects or draws 3 or more needs to resolve fully first.
Right? Do they not normally have a judge off camera too? I am in no way trying to be negative, but I was EXTREMELY surprised this was missed considering Lynch has correctly stated that an entire card resolves before triggers are put on the stack for a situation like this in previous episodes.

The Malcolm player should have known his trigger. But, tbh, people miss play cards all the time and it didn't disrupt gameplay. The only people pissed about the mistrigger was the comment section. If you're playing in front of camera, you gotta know your commander
I always love how the focus of this channel is always on playing your commander and having fun, out of all the channels this is the one id like to be on the most.
36:36 I think there is a game error with Nissa, life points were spent to reduce the mana cost. That means it comes into play with two fewer loyalties and that's why the ultimate can't be used in the same turn, right?

I believe? When a player draws their second card for turn, Ian's abiltiy then goes on the stack. Its not a replacement effect

JUDGE! at 44:57, Ray took 2 from fevered visions even though he did not have more than 4 cards in hand.
Spells and abilities don't go on the stack and resolve in the middle of other spells and abilities resolving.
Severely times during this game this was happening.
Example: spell said each player draws 3 than discards 3 at random. Randy said oh u all drew ur second card so my ability happens right now before u draw your third card or discard. That's not how it works lol.
Gotta resolve the entire spell or ability before other stuff that triggers goes on the stack

I run a kelsien deck as well, I recommend treasure support, a lot of death touch, and thornbite staff, goblin sharpshooter ect. Basi collar+kels+thorn= perma boardwipe. Basi collar+sharpshooter=perma boardwipe, and whatever other pingers you like ❤️

Randy playing his commander wrong was pretty frustrating. You do not stop effects and ability half way through to exile cards like that. Also the Nissa was not at full loyalty since life was paid for it...

if you're drawing multiple cards as part of the resolution of a single spell, ian malcolm's ability doesn't resolve in the middle of that, so you need to draw all your cards from burning enquiry/siphon mind before exiling.

Lynch your owl bear becomes unequiped when you transform because she exils than comes back in so the equipment falls off
The transform does not say to exile and return it transformed, so it stays on the battlefield and just flips.

Dosan prevents spells from being cast when it is not your turn, when Randy cast Guff Rewrites History, the last bit says "Each player may cast". Lynch and Ray would not have been able to cast the spells they hit. There were a lot of misplays this game lol
however; the prismari command would not have been countered on resolution as the draw is targetted. That would be 2 more ominous seas counters and an ian trigger. 31:50

Was there a misplay with Nissa? If it came in with Phyrexian mana, it should have had 2 fewer loyalty counters and be unable to ult, right?
15:48 this is wayyyyy wrong, triggers do not resolve in the middle of a spell resolving. Low key bothers me when someone plays their commander wrong w such conviction, like bro it’s your commander and the whole deck is built around it, at least get THAT card right.
Kelsien is my main commander deck I really hope he does well it's such a fun mardu proliferate deck
there are several mistakes in this. nissa could not ult because you paid the pherexian cost which causes her to come in with 5 loyalty not 7. also an effect resolves before triggered abilities are added to the stack which would have potentially massively changed this game. so when you make your oppent draw cards to trigger malcom if the draw is greater than 1 all of that draw must be completed first and if the effect of the draw has more steps than drawing all of that card effect completes before you move on to other effects on the stack
15:46 im pretty sure thats not how it works, since the exile part (from ian) is a triggeredd ability. it goes onto stack and cannot resolve while an other spell (burning inquery) is still in the middle of resolving.
i belive (correct me if im wrong) everyone draws three and discards three at random, then ian triggers 4 times (randy can choose in which order they enter the stack, since he controlls the triggers (because he controlls ian)) and everyone exiles the top card.
the way randy describes it, sounds like how it would work if it was a replacement effect.

Ian malcom's effect should only trigger once per turn. You can only draw your "second" card once per turn, if you draw after that you get a third and then a fourth, which means it wouldn't trigger then

The Nissa should not have been able to Ult immediately as Phyrexian mana was used, and the compleated plansewalkers state that they enter with 2 fewer loyalty counters for each 2 life used to cast them.
Guff Rewrites History would only give the controller a card as Dosan would stop the other 2 players from being able to cast the exiled card.

Nissa gets -2 loyalty for each phyrexian you pay I have also ignored this text before

When transform the comander into owlbear side would still be the same comander cause technically different name on other side would still be comander damge just wondering its why I avoid flip comanders

Commander is a property of the card itself. Both sides of the card are your commander, the damage is cumulative for each side.
"Commanderness" is tied to the card itself, the physical piece of cardboard. Combat damage dealt by either face of a double-faced commander counts as commander damage from the same commander. It's the same reason a token copy of a commander or a clone of a commander doesn't deal commander damage. The name is irrelevant.
Commander damage is tracked per piece of physical cardboard. Transform cards are the same commander on both sides. Other things like copies of your commander that are tracked by a token, or by a different card, don't count towards that commander's damage. If your commander is altered in any way that leaves their physical card intact (like getting turned into an Elk by Oko, or turned into a beetle by darksteel mutation) they still count towards their original damage.
Commander damage is tied to the physical card. If it transforms, it's still the same card. If it's flipped over (morph) it's still the same card. If it becomes a copy of another card, or gets turned into an Elk and loses all abilities, it's still the same card, too.
5 damage as a normal card, 5 damage as a transformed card, 4 damage as a morphed card, 4 damage as a copy of another card, and 3 damage as an Elk all add together to make 21 commander damage.
Y'all just robbed Ray with that compleated Nissa that was supposed to come into play with one less counter because you paid two life.

Nissa does not enter with 7 loyalty counters but instead with 5 since one phyrexian mana was paid to cast her. So Lynch couldn't have used the -7 that turn. Great game regardless

If you play Nissa you should know that if you pay life to put her in she comes in with fewer loyalty counters
at 36:50 nissa should have entered with 2 less counters cause of the "compleated" and couldnt do the ultimate :/

NIssa shouldn't have ulted. When paying the Phyrexian green using life, there is a tax placed on her loyalty counters.
Nissa enters with 5 loyalty, not 7, also, Ian is a triggered ability, not a replacement, hence, it can't exile a card in between a spell resolution... 😐

Nissa came in with 5 loyalty counters and not 7, as you paid life for one of the mana cost. Big mistake here, as then you wouldn't be able to get the last ability which costs 7.
