I have never seen sculpin in any of the waters I have fished here locally? Are they more prevalent in certain areas? Never seen them on the South Platte or the Arkansas or the Blue but I don't fish that one as often?
So sculpin aren’t something that you encounter often. They hide in between rocks and often dart away at the presence of an angler so we’re not surprised to hear you’ve never seen one. Mottled sculpins range is fairly heavy throughout the Rockies. We have personally incidentally caught them on the Colorado and Eagle Rivers.
Really informative video. I like fishing streamers but the sculpin offers some different challenges. Thanks for the info on fly lines, too!
Thank you Vince!

Thank you for watching Glenn!
Gotta check out Cheech's Sculpen Toad and Low Fat Sculpen. 👌🎣
