I agree with your statements regarding the crew watching shows. They have every right to see them. But let the paying customers go first. If I had paid 10K (or more) for my cruise and I had a crew member blocking my view I'd be finding someone to complain to. Lauren is adorable dancing!!! You guys had a fantastic time on that cruise!! Especially given the circumstances. Ive never been on a Virgin cruise, but I'm going to look into it thanks to you. But I agree, they went way above and beyond to make up for the circumstances. None of it was Virgins fault, so its quite nice of them to do that. I love the idea of an adults only cruise! Watch out for the pineapples!!!

I live across the bridge from Tampa and I cruise quite a bit (not as much as you) there is no "quick way" to Miami from here but I have found some not so bad alternatives...
    1. Rent a car one way to miami - drop off away from right at the nearest to the terminal and just uber in or take car shuttle over then on return take amtrack back to tampa.
    2. Take train the day prior to cruise (due to train schedule) stay at a hotel then shuttle to port - return on train
note with brightline coming online soon out of orlando new options will become available
    3. There are several bus/shuttle services from tampa to all the ports.
all of those items are just about convenience - the cheapest is the bus/shuttle, my favorite is the train (it has a bar)
This is just based on my experience your results/opinion may differ.

I'm glad you still had a good cruise, despite the unfortunate tragedy that occurred. I'm torn about the crew enjoying shows because allowing the crew "guest privileges" is one of the reasons I loved Virgin so much, I got to know the crew members onboard and it made my cruise really special. It's a double edge sword, because the crew is so good at hyping up the crowd and encouraging participation, even if they're not "working", so it's a shame to require them to skip shows or stay in the back, but as you said, it's important to maintain a good guest experience.

I can’t wait for your vlog for the Resilient Lady “Greek Glow”. I booked this Cruise August last year for the October 1st sail. I figured it would be a great time to go, new ship, all the kinks will be worked out by then, the main summer season is basically done so less crowds in each port but still hopefully warm enough. I have been waiting almost a year (and none to patiently 😊) for a vlog of my cruise so really looking forward to it.

Another great video brougham. I just got off of the carnival dream (Monday) and it was my first cruise. Did the eastern Caribbean and had a blast. Unfortunately I also got Covid 😂😂… so I’m typing this jacked up BUTTTTTTTTTTTT that doesn’t take away the blast that I had onboard. Everyone I spoke to was either a firefighter, paramedic or nurse and me being a paramedic it was hilarious that I couldn’t walk 5 feet without tripping over a fellow brother or sister. I had so many great conversations and a few heart to heart conversations that I will remember for the rest of my life. I made some serious connections with some people. Going on another cruise on the miracle to Alaska in august… hopefully minus the damn confeefee 😂. We also had a few medical emergencies… we had a few rocky days in the Gulf of Mexico. Crazy storms, someone had some heart issues and we had to divert from half moon cay to go to princess cay but when we got there had to cancel because the medivac couldn’t land due to weather and we had to steam on to Nassau and hope the person made it through the night. Thank god they did and as we were getting off the ship paramedics were taking them off via ambulance at the docks. On the way back we had flooding on the ship because of hurricane type weather causing the ship to list some and the captain had to ban people from going out on deck while the crew set up fans and tried to keep the floors dried but people still fell and a few hit their heads that a few of us helped to sickbay. I swear we can’t escape work 😂.

I'm surprised deaths on cruises aren't more frequent. Accidental deaths, that is, not intentional ones (murders?) like happened on this cruise, but I would figure if you mix alcohol, vacation, sun and fun, and high balconies, you'd have more people doing crazy things that end poorly for them. Maybe I just don't have enough faith in the human race :)
As for the crew watching the show, it's one thing to watch the show, it's another to be so in the way that you block other people's view. Crew or not, people should make an effort to ensure everyone gets a good view of the show, but *especially* the crew, since they'll have plenty of other opportunities to watch the shows (and will probably eventually get sick of them).

No problem there and if they participate in the peripheral area no problem and if the passengers are sluggish in participating the crew visitors might start participating. But if crew kind of take over and make more about them. I wouldn’t approve. I think I would walk out.

13:48 "Should the crew...give way to the guests?" In one word: yes. I think the correct balance here is that if crew is going to have guest privileges, they should have a separate, dedicated viewing area for something like this. Mainly for some of the reasons you just gave: The "sailors" paid for the experience and should be able to get a close as desired in a free-form venue like this. I have nothing against the crew getting to see the show, but I think they should have a dedicated area in the venue so they aren't preventing the passengers view.

If I had paid all that money and crew members were blocking my view of any of the entertainment I would not be a happy camper and the Captain would know about it.

It is sad the man chose to use the cruise for exit. Obviously that was meant to get attention in the media. Maybe they had an issue with Virgin. Glad people moved on.

I would be pissed if I paid a few grand. Then to have employees standing in front of me. Zero class. Won’t be taking a Virgin cruise anytime

I think cruise ship 🚢 employees need a little time to relax but Virgin allowing workers to block the view and take prime locations for shows is a deal breaker for me and a good reason to avoid sailing on Virgin. I like the way Norwegian always puts the comfort and satisfaction of paying guests #1.

This is a full breakdown of the entire cruise. I do this after every cruise has concluded on this channel

It's inevitable that EVERY cruise ship suffers a death aboard, often enough it's a "man overboard" situation. This was Valiant Lady's first, and we hope last, unprofitable cruise.

I've heard a couple things about Adult cruises ...
First is to bring with you double the number of condoms you think you'll need. Because the ship ships routinely sell out and when in stock they are double mainland prices.
Secondly...its becoming tradition that after the first one is used it is tossed overboard in the middle of the night in violation of every rule there is.

We think it may have been fake.
We caught a Mahi recently and it was moving around and fighting.
In this video that looked like a dead fish or a plastic one.
Fish aren't limp when they get caught.
