I haven't cruised since 2012 (with Oceania Cruises in the Mediterranean) but your videos are a big motivation to get back on a ship. Used Pirate Divers for a Private snorkling tour. Kittiwake shipwreck was one of the places we visited. Highly recommend Pirate Divers. They were so accommodating to the two individuals who don't swim/afraid of water.

Hubs and I honeymooned on Grand Cayman 30 years ago! It’s changed a bunch, miss the sleepy island aspect. Daughter did her first dive in GC a couple years ago-really is world class diving!

Hey J, for the ear issue put 3 to 4 drops of baby oil in the ear canal. This will free up the ear wax and allow the backed up water to flow down either eustachian tubes. Also it will negate an ear infection. Happy sailing brother!!!
Try diving in Bonaire and Aruba. GREAT islands for SCUBA.

I was wondering once you obtain a diving licence will you begin diving in some local Floridian water holes/natural springs for this channel? That would be cool to see.
Get a real certificate and you'll be scared shitless you went without the proper training!!!
Did you go deeper then 30 feet? Gopros are supposed to be good without the case up to 30 feet
@@tonygonzalez305 Yes I did. Mistake on my end as I didn’t expect as to go through deep for this dive. However myself and the instructor felt comfortable enough to do so

Pirate Divers is an excellent dive shop! We have used them twice before.
Tenders aren't really too bad id you go a little later, avoiding first rush, and come come back a little early. Grand Cayman is a nice island. Everyone should swim with the sting rays once...but I wouldn't kiss one.. Since I am now in a mobility scooter, I think the tender may be out for me...
Funny... I almost booked that cruise for my b-day... I was deciding between that and the Constellation out of Tampa... which I chose because it had a great itinerary. But yes... you have to get off in Cayman more often... the diving is great as well swimming with the Stingrays. We stopped in Antigua and Stingray City there is a must visit too.

You guys looked amazing at dinner and the clubs...I've never sailed on Celebrity but it looks like there's not a lot of nightlife...at least among passengers.

I was in Grand Cayman and I liked it a lot! We saw some turtles, sharks and fun birds.
In the 70s, I spent 10 days on Grand Cayman. It was a fantastic trip and that’s where I learn to scuba dive back then it was a four hour course at the Holiday Inn. Gorgeous island, best diving ever!!!
We did some great shopping in Grand Cayman.
Was just there on Easter Sunday!!! Got an early tenderticket. Made it to the beach past the most busy part and then we rode bird scooters back to port. It was beautiful!!!

I have been to GC several times and never had an issue getting off. Love the dolphin exhibit across from there is the turtles and the oxtails are off the chain.

We have been to Grand Cayman 4 times and only off the ship twice. We are headed there again in July this year. We are not sure yet if we are getting off the ship. I guess it will depend on the weather that day. Unfortunately because of an inner ear problem I can no longer deeper that about 10 feet without extreme pain. Well at least I can still snorkel!

On carnival when you go to the tender it's first come first served
We were there yesterday on the Odyssey and were turned away because they said it was to dangerous. I’m from the west coast. We would never get on the water if they cancelled for those conditions.

86 + cruises gotta love dirty mexico and all those islands down there including Cayman. its kinda pretty if you keep an eye on all your surroundings. were headed to alaska (2nd) cruise in 20 years up there (free) credit on holland, next week. Even those ports are suspect to Less than attractive.
When we went on a cruise to the caymans we walked to a shop and borrowed a phone got a shuttle to the airport and rented a car. My husband drove (they drive on the left side) to the tip of the island at rum point and we had the entire beach to ourselves. It was beautiful.
I’m surprised they weren’t using the Magic Carpet for tender boats to pull up to the ship. Maybe the sea conditions weren’t just right.

ive never heard of a tender ticket at the grand cayman port. iive only been there on carnival but i never needed a ticket. u just go down whenever youre ready to go to the island and u get on.
I love Georgetown. Hard Rock Cafe to the right. A nice drug store several blocks behind Hard Rock. I grocery store where the locals shop about a 10 minute walk to the left. 👍

Never had that issue. We just went down to demarcation area and went right off. Leave earlier.
I think it’s just depends on the Cruise line and Ship. When I went with Carnival it was impossible and when I tried when I worked for NCL we had to wait until every guest that wanted to get off could. Was a smooth process with Celebrity

For the best price of beer, at the port stop by the Tortuga shop. Cheap, but great local beer. If you go just down the street to the two story bar, you will be properly tourist trapped and pay out the nose.

I was on the Odyssey of the seas last week. We couldn't stop there due to something. The disney cruise ship had no issue. I feel like i was robbed of my experience, although we did get a full refund on any expeditions.
