- A quick vid on how to get the coleman octagon 8 back in its bag.
I first put the poles and pegs into the storage bag making sure they are flat on the bottom
Then fold as instructed easy!

I've used this tent 4 times this year and this video saved me! Every time I succeeded in getting it into the bag due to this helpful video so thank you! Awesome tent, has been through the mill in torrential rain and high winds and still remained standing with no leaks!

Thanks for taking the time to make this video it is a big help in getting the tent back in the bag. The secret is in getting it the right width for the bag and getting the air out - I roll over it myself to do this before folding it up.
We bought this tent last year and had a few trips with it, it’s a great tent,
The first time, I had to leave the bag with the poles out, but by the time we got home, with the bag compressed with the rest of the luggage, the poles did fit in the bag. The second trip, No problem at all putting it back in the bag. The main trick is to push all the air out and let it deflate completely, and it fits perfectly. Quite surprising what a difference that makes!!
We actually put the poles in first, then the divider screen and outer fly, and then just put the main part on top, No problems whatsoever.

You life saver. I ended up damaging the bag and ruining the zip getting this back in previously. Now have a new bag and looking forward to getting it all back in together !!
Thank you for this video. Am a beginner so bought this tent as was easy to put up...never though about the packing away. Spent almost an hour trying to get it packed up with no success and once I saw this it only took 5 minutes. Great tutorial 👍

Amazing video. Just got this tent and was doing a practice run. Packing it up I started trying to pack it as it arrived but was struggling straight away so looked for a video. Id never have tried it this way. Had ut packed up in the bag in no time. Life and time saver! Cheers. :)

I didn't make it clear what to do with the pole but I put them in the bag first and flatten them down hope that helps

Is the central ‘star shaped’ plastic hub for the roof poles detachable? It seems with that stuck in the middle it would be difficult to roll up tightly, and it may pierce or tear the fabric as you do so.

i am wondering to buy either this or octagon 8 blackout. my concern is that blackout can get super hot in the summer but on the other hand, getting woken up with the sunrise also doesn't sound great. is this tent getting super bright or does the walls actually cover from the sunlight a bit?

I took photos with my phone of the tent as it was being unpacked from new. That way I had a visual reference to how it goes back in to the bag.
I have a hard time with my tent, but what helps is using a towel to push the air out.

I have looked at them as not having an awning on this tent does suck.
Saying that they are stupid money for what they are! I have been looking at other option
@@thegearshed2128 I brought one and it's not very good... had to take it down in high wind...should have just brought another tent for the money! feel a bit ripped off!!
@@Cricklewoodcoffee what sort of wind? Ours has been used in 25mph wind on a exposed sight and has been ok. These tents are not made to stand up to much more than that.
Our big steel poled tunnel was up in 30mph wind and it wouldnt have weathered much more without damage

Should have the straps down at the end of the tent so when you roll it they are in place ready to tie.

Ha ha yep no going to the shops barefoot get arrested! Allways love the look on the natives faces as i stroll across gravel like its grass in my bare feet! The english are funny about there feet my inlaws wear slippers indoors in winter and sandals indoors in summer there feet are only bare in the shower or bed very strange
