How to triple your Dollars and Euro in Argentina 🇦🇷

- When I arrived in Argentina I was confused about the money. Some Argentinian I had met in Europe had told me to bring a lot of cash because by exchanging it in the street I would get double the money I would by withdrawing it from ATM. How could that be possible? Sounded too good to be true and I worried about possibly being scammed. The reality turned out being rosy.

Your english is fine Danny. Don't listen to the whiners who have never left the states in their life. You really don't need to put the subtitles on the screen at all. Really they just clutter the screen. Those few people who might not understand you can always hit the CC button on screen and add subtitles any time they want. Your videos are good man. I'm going to watch them all. Would love to see a few more from Argentina. Happy travels.
There will be plenty of Argentinian content soon
@@DannyRossellini i think you could change it or use it directly on dollars. your rate should be 1000 per 1. (almost every place accept dollars(is better in smaller bills))
Argentina got their Christmas gift, it's called Javier Milei😅😂😅
Una mierda ese regalo
We'll see if 2024 is the Year of the Train Wreck in Argentina.
@@silvinagomez8638 el pais se porto mal y recibió un presidente con el corazon negro como el carbon
Si en estos días ese regalo no le tira un centro a los ciudadanos, se viene el estallido
He's finally putting an end to all of the excessive socialist spending. It's nice to see.
Subscribed.Thank you for this video.Waiting for more.Happy travels!
Thank you boss
Great video. Thanks. The peso is fluctuating incredibly. Now with the tourist peso for credit cards, everything changes.
Is there still a massive rate of exchange up charge on credit cards?
@nickfranco7977 I didn't see any. I was charged at the MEP rate, and 2 or 3 weeks later I received some refunds.
Ahh I see it’s summer there. Nice idea to escape the cold.
Buenos Aires is known for its hot and humid summers.
@@boink800 esta en cordoba el tipo, la temperatura es más alta, pero como es seco dicen que no se siente tanto
a very thorough survey
Too cute to care! For sure!
But ... Milei devalued the peso to 800 to the US Dollar. That's almost the black market rate, almost (which is around 1000 to the US Dollar).
This video was filmed before that. My aim is to show that you don't necessarily need to be ripped off by banks (that even now will take a total of 30-40% fee cause they add a 10-15% withdrawal commission) or go to find the unofficial street exchange (that are only in big cities and in some specific streets)
@@DannyRossellini You should provide updates as the situation is now changing almost every day in Argentina with the new President.
@@boink800 yes I think I will have to...
in mendoza and buenos aires they change dolar blue or close to that price
Not noventa y cuatro. It's novecientos cuarenta por un Euro. Almost everyone on that street knows you are walking around with a big bundle of money.
True and true:)
Ask at the jewelry stores if they do exchange money.
It is legal to buy foreign currency since today with no limits....😊
Podes hacer rendir los dolares con ésta la que me cuelga peladooooooooooouuuooouuooo
Actually since about one year you can also use your foreing credit card. You get a very similar rate as the blue dollar. If you want to change cash my advise is to do it through western union
With credit card you lose around 15% comparing to blue dollar, and many stores and business don't accept it or make you pay an additional commission.
I moved to Argentina. I show how
you can do it directly through Western Union if you wanted. Also many caves/exchange houses all over the country.
Ciao, Danny. Happy New Year from 🏴🥂. We visit B.A next month. Do you know which streets the Bureaux de Change are in there please? Grazie mille.
If you stay in San Telmo (center) go to Calle Florida. If you stay in Palermo, you'll find them near Plaza Armenia or near Plaza Italia
My advice is to send money to yourself throug western union, you will get the same rate and dont have to go walking around with too much cash. You can now also use your credit card and you will get a very similar rate
You are wrong about the exchange rate; One US dollar is around 800 pesos.as of February 2024 in the official bank exchange.
830 actually
So go to an ATM and withdraw pesos if you are so excited about the current bank exchange rate😂

Just a quick English tip regarding an error that many Romance language speakers make when speaking in English:
The verb "explain" takes an indirect object. "I will explain to you how to get to the station", for example. We can never say "explain me" or "explain you" in English.
Thank you boss, will keep in mind 😉
Doesn’t work anymore
What I love about the Argentine peso is by carrying it in your wallet you always have emergency toilet paper.
Your English Is Just Find Mate. Keep Up The Good Work
Danny, I would love to retire to Argentina. West Union is running out of money to pay you. Can these places exchange using a US Credit Card?
I don't think these money exchange offices accept credit card transfers, never heard about anyone doing it. But are you sure Western Union is running out of money?? Who told you this?
As all the tourist were going to the illegal market, the Government implemented an especial regime for payments with foreign credit cards, that is hard to explain, but it used a different exchange rate that is the result of buying an stock in dollar and selling it in pesos (not so different rate to the illegal market).
I'm not sure that rule is still in place. However, the new Government changed the official exchange rate and there isn't that much of a difference within rates now.
great information. thanks for that! In Cordoba, how much (in pesos) do you need to live... not including rent?
Not much really. €500 perhaps
is this still true after they changed the official rate to be similar to the blue dolar rate?
Even now, you'll save at least a 30/40% comparing to withdrawing from ATM (that charge an additional 10/20% commission).
The aim of this video is to help tourists navigating the huge mess that is the current Argentinian economy!
President Milei put the new rate at 800 pesos to the US Dollar but the real rate, the free market rate, is around 1000 pesos to the US Dollar. Go figure.
how to bring large usd to argentina?
I really don't know dude, I'm just a RUclipsr not a smuggler
There's no fake pesos. It's a traditional monopoly of the governments.
All Argentinian pesos are fake and worthless
No counterfeit pesos either?
So if I have crypto/USD it's a good time to move there?
Definitely.
7:57 Now that you’ve tripled your money buy a new t-shirt 😁
Bought that Ralph Lauren in 2002, believe it or not 😂
there is no more unofficial dolar. coz the new govermemt unified all types of dollars from the last socialist govetment. wirh high inflation and FMI crefits
everyone can enjoy a smuggler life, wow
Too many holes in the Argentinian economy
Western Union branch
No, the Western Union office was the nearby store. Just you could see it through the glass.
Nice work!!! I am French and Italian and some Irish… From America.., but I like the Italian people in Italy, they are black hair and blue eyes like my father…Rossi you know….: how do you get a one year rental in an apartment or a home there? And if you get a one year rental, how do you pay for it? A month-to-month lease… Or a one year pay it all upfront?
You pay month to month of course... And you get it in the normal way (finding ads on websites and calling the landlord)
Why you speak English, we don't know what are you saying. Heavy accen
I put subtitles for this reason. Where are you from?
His accent isn't that bad. I understand him.
It's perfectly comprehensible. Take a class in listening. His English is fine.
He is from the Jewnited States.@@DannyRossellini
His spoken English is far better than your written English...and you had the benefit of time, Google, and forethought before typing that mess into the comment section.
Argentina. Has never been anything and will never be anything.
No nihilism in this channel. Thanks.
