The Re:Zero comparisons are to be expected but I'd say Higurashi is more on the mistery side of things while Re:Zero is more on the psychology of the characters
Know what's weird? The victim guy's right arm was never found, and when keiichi told Shion she could have whatever arm she wants, he showed her his Right arm and she grabbed on quick and tight. I call that suspicious if not a coincidence 🤔
Love how much you guys are getting into the mystery on this one. It's a huge part of this franchise so it's fun to see people try to puzzle out what's going on and what the rules of these "loops" are.

Yeah so the reason the sisters seemed on the same wavelength in ep 5 is because Mion was impersonating Shion (when she brought him the lunch for sure that was Mion dressing up like Shion and the other 2 times I think it was also Mion but could have actually been Shion its not 100% confirmed).
Also its nice to see you try to piece things together and make all the connections! That's the fun of this series: watching the mystery unfold and trying to theorize.
