Jake Hardy You are so wrong, Naughty Dog always makes good games with an incredible gameplay (Uncharted for example). And the fact that is better than RE saga its true, maybe because The Last Of Us is really original in his story, graphics, physics and gameplay section, thats why is the best videogame of all time.
Alan WashStuff I wouldn't say uncharted has great gameplay and resident evil is the most repetitive franchise ever with the only exception of the new release, I find the actual player input of the game not that special, it's not difficult. It doesn't even surpass the call of duty campaigns, but at least call of duty has a competitive multiplayer. A Naughty dog title is less of a game, more of an interactive story. Edit: doesn't mean you can't enjoy those games, you still experience the thrill and awe of the game, I just prefer a game that's more about tactics, free action and more expansive playability, not just a quick response, they're almost as boring as quick time event games.
Scariest zombie encounter would definitely be the basement in the hotel from The Last of Us, scary as anything especially when you're bad at being efficient with bullets.
It was damn intense for sure! Not really scary though. I only played it on ps3, I own the ps4 version though I want to see how much more intense it is.

I agree. Dying Light Is phenomenal. Me and my best friend just spent hours exploring and getting all the blueprints. Killing zombies was just so fun. I really enjoyed 7 Days to Die, Despite It's clunky mechanics. Though It Is an Early Access game on Steam. I spent a long time building up my fortress and sneaking around heavily Infested areas. Being a huge fan of Survival Horror and Stealth, Dying Light and 7 Days to Die were just so good to me. I am not sure If the Flood from Halo counts. I mean, Similar to Dead Space, The Flood are parasites that take control of the hosts nervous system and begins controlling them while mutating their bodies. I read somewhere that the host Is still alive and In excruciating pain and can do nothing but watch themselves either kill their comrades or being killed by them. That and the Gravemind, An ultimate form of the Flood, Is literally made out of hundreds of corpses. Very gruesome stuff. I tried State of Decay and my Initial reaction was mixed. Though, That was the demo on the Xbox 360 and I am willing to try It out again once I purchase It on Steam. :) That Resident Evil encounter with the first zombie will always stay with me. Absolutely chilling, Even to this day.

That sense of relief when getting out of the tunnel with like 5 HP and being happy you met the combine. Sure, they were enemies, and they were trying to kill you, but they were the first sign of civilization you've seen in a few maps. Am I right?

Zombies Ate My Neighbors was the game that made me discover my fascination with the undead(as enemies purely lol). I was playing that in the early 2000s though more than anything, funnily enough. I wish I'd known as a kid that RE2 existed on the N64 though. I missed out on that game altogether until the remake.

kovidomi In a time of remakes and reboots Stubbs gets snubbed and it is probably one of the few that really deserve it, such a fun game. Could you imagine what today's gaming engines could do for that game?
I absolutely loved Stubbs the Zombie. If I remember rightly it was made by ex Bungie employees too so it ran off a similar, if not the same engine as the original Halo. The trouble is it came out at the wrong time. It came out on the orginal xbox literally months before the 360 came out. It would have been a million times more popular if it had come out on the 360. There was also a game that was a more realistic version of stubbs where you were supposed to play as a zombie slaver who controlled hordes on undead and it was a sandbox game where your choices impacted on the world. So for example you could attack police stations and hospitals but if you attacked the hospital before the police station, the police would come to fight you off. I can't remember what it was called but it never got released because it was stuck in development hell and I don't think it ever got finished.

Always loved Dead Space until the third installment. Something about just being in tight corridors and feeling hopeless in an unknown world was awesome. Number one did that really well. Every creak made me jump.

In all honesty, After the first 2 playthroughs, I had memorized everything in that specific level because the first time I turned on the generator without finding the key card. Definitely one part of the game I did not stick around to admire.

My favourite game is dying light, and is also my favourite out of the over 100 games I own on steam, my scariest moment was when I was casually searching for supplies in safety (wasn’t in a safe zone, but zombies were out of reach) I throughly searched a kitchen and decided to open up the pantry that was near the door, expecting some food or gauze, and I only got a corpse just standing there, inanimate. I was confused and stared at it for a few seconds when until it sprang to life and took a bite out of my neck! I’ve only seen this happen once, so I don’t know if this is a rare find or an Easter egg, but it scared me shitless.
The first time i saw a volitile I literally left tue game and went to the country side before finishing the main story, little did I know they were also in the countryside as well

Omar Zerarka it always had a story. You just had to put the dots together and look around for secrets. Theorize on what might have happened etc. Thats how most "vague" stories are formed. And usualy companies branch put an actual story based on some idea's ppl used before or said

Zombies Ate My Neighbors was the game that made me discover my fascination with the undead(as enemies purely lol). I was playing that in the early 2000s though more than anything, funnily enough. I wish I'd known as a kid that RE2 existed on the N64 though. I missed out on that game altogether until the remake.

kovidomi In a time of remakes and reboots Stubbs gets snubbed and it is probably one of the few that really deserve it, such a fun game. Could you imagine what today's gaming engines could do for that game?

I absolutely loved Stubbs the Zombie. If I remember rightly it was made by ex Bungie employees too so it ran off a similar, if not the same engine as the original Halo. The trouble is it came out at the wrong time. It came out on the orginal xbox literally months before the 360 came out. It would have been a million times more popular if it had come out on the 360. There was also a game that was a more realistic version of stubbs where you were supposed to play as a zombie slaver who controlled hordes on undead and it was a sandbox game where your choices impacted on the world. So for example you could attack police stations and hospitals but if you attacked the hospital before the police station, the police would come to fight you off. I can't remember what it was called but it never got released because it was stuck in development hell and I don't think it ever got finished.

In all honesty, After the first 2 playthroughs, I had memorized everything in that specific level because the first time I turned on the generator without finding the key card. Definitely one part of the game I did not stick around to admire.

My favourite game is dying light, and is also my favourite out of the over 100 games I own on steam, my scariest moment was when I was casually searching for supplies in safety (wasn’t in a safe zone, but zombies were out of reach) I throughly searched a kitchen and decided to open up the pantry that was near the door, expecting some food or gauze, and I only got a corpse just standing there, inanimate. I was confused and stared at it for a few seconds when until it sprang to life and took a bite out of my neck! I’ve only seen this happen once, so I don’t know if this is a rare find or an Easter egg, but it scared me shitless.
