One thing I love about chishuya is not only is he observant and calculated, he’s also a realist and it’s not just a persona he’s putting on, that’s how he actually is. What makes him different from the rest of the players is that he doesn’t care if he lives or dies, just if he’s right or wrong. He looks at these games as they are, just games, and not means of survival. He’s a genius.
You're actually right about Chishiya having an advantage in knowing about Kuzuryu.
He managed to outsmart the others but the King would equally outsmart him. If he hadn't used a more manipulative side and brought in reflective themes that connected with Kuzuryu's original life, he totally would have died.
Chishiya does not express it, but Kuzuryu is one of the most formidable opponents he has faced.
I like to think it's the Kings/Queens get the long speeches before they are zapped

In the manga, it took them 7 days to complete all 12 face card games. So Ann, having beaten the 10 of Hearts, would have survived even if she didn't join a game.
This episode had two of the funniest moments in the entire series. The first being in the hot spring when Arisu, ladies' man that he is, goes "I didn't see anything! I was just looking at the elephants! I really like elephants!"
The other being when Chishiya is explaining how he guessed the number that other lady chose, gets to the list of the last few and is like "And some numbers you can dismiss because of things like game consoles" (64 disappears) "or other popular numbers" (69 disappears without him giving a reason)

35:40 Hahaha They left the boy already cuz his visa is permanent, so he won't need to be in any game anymore. If you beat the face card games your visa is permanent, unlike the number cards with day limits. This is a very good reaction overall, watching your reaction to the sulfuric acid death is so funny but also I can relate. I would not want to be in that game, I'll probably the first one to die

Yeah that hot spring is that stadium where all those people died and the water must have still been hot since it was boiling. That kiss scene gave me chills because seeing the dead body reminded them that they were still in this fucked up game. I would have gotten clapped in that King of Diamonds game.

I think all the characters played their roles really well. Its easy to figure out whoes who from alice in wonderland. With that being said, chishuya is the chester cat. 😂

This episode gives some insight to why Chishiya has his hands in his pockets all the time. Yes, one reason is he's very calm and casual, but the other is probably that the health and safety of your hands is everything to a surgeon, if anything happens to your hands you can't do surgeries anymore

Chishiya is the goat.
The Kings, Queens and Jacks are citizens of this country. They don't need to play games. You confused them with the dealers. Dealers have to get Visas like the players. They gain Visa days by killing people with games they set up or playing against the players (for example the horse masked players with the uzi in the tag game were dealers). If one player wins the game they die. All dealers got killed after the players cleared all number card games. The citizens at the beach played games to fit their role as players. They never needed visa days.

I just had this realization: so the elephants are between death and life themselves? Well, if so I'm glad it's a different experience for them, sauna bathing and free roaming till they either die or get reanimated. I guess for them it's just a matter of finding food and water to survive the borderland. Idk if to be glad or sad for them.
