I have a 2008 BMW 655 and I’m trying to find out what may be causing my shifter to return to the park selection after I put it in Drive on its own should I drop the valve Body and replace the seals and the solenoids or what direction should I go in? Hello, my 2006 330i has a battery drain issue I'm trying to track down. Battery discharges over about 4 days just setting there doing nothing, electrical gremlin somewhere. Any advice appreciated.

Nathan! Help. I just frivolously bought a "good deal" running 530xi but owner is young and said transfer case motor not working and he's been running it and that he has to jump battery every time. Help! Should I hop through with purchase? It's hot 209k miles. Should I buy autozone battery and can I drive it over 100 miles on the "dead" battery is got.

What about 4A07 error code on e60 ? (Alternator communication) ...the car is working perfectly and before was stopping because the alternator didn't worked properly and the car was running on battery ....a mechanic repaired my alternator

Replace positive terminal. After an accident there’s a little box with gas and an ignition explodes to shut engine off and prevent further damage. So you would need to replace positive terminal

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my bmw e60 530i it is oscillating the rotation pointer and when I stop it gives some small bumps when it's time to stop
Does the IBS forcably prevent the engine from turning over if it detects "not enough" battery power? My BMW *ALMOST* started, but it shut off for some reason and the headlights started to flash. After that, there was NO engine turn over what so ever. The IBS seems kinda dumb to me if it prevents the engine from starting WHEN IT PERFECTLY DAMN WELL CAN. Oh well.

Anybody know a trick to get center dash air vent out without removing dash? I see two depressable tabs on top corners of vent assembly behind dash on pics of the unit.
Yep just tug it out mate. I was scared at first. But my hazards were stuck on. And a little stressfully I pulled the whole thing off an it just pops back on 👍
Do you have to get the battery reprogramed if you change the battery? My battery I put In my 2001 BMW740il willn't keep a charge past three days.

I'm currently battling a bad IBS and battery on an 2017 F15 X5 with 60k mi. The car died, was towed to dealership they found little to none, died again, boosted several times, died again. After an CEL came I scanned it and it gave me a code for a bad IBS. The car battery won't charge on a DEFA charger (the bad IBS fully depleted the battery 4 times or more). Will be replacing the battery and IBS in one motion, the register it, reset the DME and clear the codes. If this doesn't cut it then I have no idea what to do next...

Hie, I'm facing a problem of fuel gauge it doesn't rise up when ever I add some fuel unless I remove battery but it will rise and stops at half.please help

2011 328i.. sunroof and windows just all open by themselves.. randomly.. no warning just get up .. look out the window and the car is all open,,.. usually at the worst time.. when it rains.. any thoughts?

I just purchased a 335i recently and tried to get it smoged but the smog guy said that there was a chip or tune because no codes Woolf pop up on his screen. But from what Ik there is no tune on the car, later on I scanned it with mhd and the 2e8e code came up for missing ibs. Do you think maybe that is the reason his wasn’t reading it? Please lmk ion wanna pay 500+ to smog it illegally . 🙏🏻

So if I replace my IBS sensor do I still need to code it if I keep the same battery in it?
Yes. To let it know the battery is new, so it will treat as a new battery for charging purposes.
How do you code it ?
I personally had this issue what happened for me was the voltage would randomly spike to 14-16V on acceleration then it'll stop charging the battery after some time it'll throw an error saying battery isn't charging. Took a while to figure it out because I tested under different batteries and alternators and some other electrical components after dropping nearly a thousand dollars I saw IBS errors and that's when I replaced the IBS on mine and was just peachy again. 2011 E90 335i w/ 70k miles is when it started occurring for me.
Good to know I'm looking at a 2011 335IS hopefully I can get the one with 67k and another one has like 114 k and certified and well documented
@@markt9438 My main issues throughout ownership since 50k miles was valve cover gasket, water pump, IBS & battery, chargepipe, and coolant expansion tank. I'd check for those primarily on both options.
Thank you for commenting. I have 3 insurance totaled out 328xi's. The E91 is giving me serious electrical problems because 2 airbags deployed. I am reading 51VDC at the other end of the car but read 12.8VDC at the battery terminal clamps.
Looks like the M5 has a nice tan going on. Cant you lock the car with the key?
I would think so too. My e60 530i will lock all of the doors at once when I turn the key in the driver's door

Hey Nathan, wanted to share my experience with BMW Doctor Dean with you see if you have any input. Few months ago I bought one of the tuned ecu’s he was advertising on his channel, 2 months go by and nothing comes in the mail, and i try to get a hold of him and he blocks me on everything i had contact with him through. The whole time he kept saying fedex is sending it but corona is slowing it down which i get, but it’s been 4 months and i haven’t heard from dean in two months. He obviously scammed me
