Still my favorite Sonic game. SA2 is a huge step backwards. Come at me SA2 fanboys and girls. This is how 3d Sonic should be. Multiple playable characters each with their own clear conditions and stories. I find that so much better than everyone having the same story and doing the same things. The beta Windy Valley looks like the greatest stage in 3d Sonic history and is the direction I wish SA2 went in instead of linear obstacle courses. The soundtrack is still goated in my mind. We need a SA1 remake to iron out the kinks and show the kids what Sonic used to be and what the series shouldn't have strayed from.
It's a fair a assessment. Most who like SA2 do simply cause it's more Sonic/Shadow levels and less Biggs the Cat. Imo it did some things right such as upping levels for those two for example, but I do agree it was a step backwards in other parts like the Adventure segments and Tails becoming an Eggman clone
@@spartanq7781 That's an exageration. The SA2 speed stages are obstacle courses. There are several obstacles to overcome, so you can’t just dumb it down to “running in a straight line.” We’re not talking about the boost levels where you just hold x in later games after all, but there is a much greater emphasis on speed when compared to SA1.
