Map of the Problematique Effect Tutorial - Reaper & Digitech Whammy

A tutorial on how to create the Map of the Problematique effect yourself, using what I consider the easiest method. No broken download links, no unsynced patches.
I use the Whammy IV for this. The Whammy V should also work the same way. I've heard the DT might not.

you are a godsend! i've been trying to do this for a good few hours but was doing it how i had it programmed in logic and cubase in the past where you used the whammy parameters instead of just using the -1 to +1 oct harmony. got it all done in 30 mins max.

i'm having some problems.
I'm connecting the wammy 4 to the midi to USB cable and do all the step you said in the video and the whammy just do nothing.

Bottom string is tuned down to C, everything else is in standard tuning

So what's the cheapest midi for programming the whammy? I got one for christmas hoping to create a muse sound but I underestimated what I needed and I am a bit out of my league

Cheapest is probably the USB to MIDI cable but it can sometimes be troublesome. Best option would be an audio interface with MIDI ports. They're expensive but if you ever want to record things it's useful. USBMIDI cables are very inexpensive.

I'm on the 6.17 version trying to do this. BUT on the first step, create a track, I don't have the I/O menu and I don't have half the options he has.
anyone know something?
