Let's face it, being a kicker is horrible. Most of the fanbase doesn't care about you, when you make a kick they don't care, when you make a game winning kick they care for a couple days, then when you miss a key kick everybody and their mother makes fun of you and wants you off the team. I feel bad for every kicker out there.
I honestly don't know well you do get love. But only if you consistently make field goals. Example recently? Justin tucker for most of his career. (Arguably best kicker in the nfl currently). And Chris Boswell pro bowl season last year. But Chris Boswell is a great example of what can happen. As a kicker you need to literally like make everything every season. Chris Boswell missed in week 1. Fans already started saying shit. It got to his head. He missed everything in every week forward. (Until week 16 vs saints). Then he got injuries and placed on ir.
I honestly don't know Most don't care when they make a kick because it should be routine, as you literally get paid millions to do this. And you act like this was a rare miss, but this is his 11th miss of the season. I think 11 missed field goals is enough for a fanbase to want a kicker off the team, considering he's a professional

As a Packers fan, I don't see how you can be disappointed. Bears finished last in the north for what, the last four years? Then you get Nagy and Mack and win 12 games? Mitch is in his 2nd year and has already shown signs of improvement. Bears are going to be scary for years, and will definitely be playing for a SB in the next at least the next 5. Without that context, it's so badly lacking. Al Micheals call and reaction following the miss is just the best, one of the most unbelievable plays ever to be seen in sports, right up there with Patrik Stefan missing the empty net, and Leon Lett letting the ball get away. Without the full context and the bookends of the play, the experience is cheapened. So thank you AGAIN so very much!!!

This was a great drive by the Eagles. A few plays stand out and are worth reviewing after all the dust settles from the missed FG...1) What a great spin move by Dallas Goedhart on that double fake screen. (Ertz did what Ertz does also making a great catch, too in there for a 1st down). 2) Ditto for Agholor on the pass before it, as he stopped and made the cut to get closer to the chains. 3) Agholor could have caught that TD pass and should have, but Foles put a little extra mustard on that pass and zipped it; you can see Agholor getting his hands up just a second late as he's not used to Foles zipping his passes like that. That would have been a nice looking TD catch. 4) Jeffrey also uses a nice anticipation spin move on his 1st down on the 3rd down pass inside the 5...If Jeffrey isn't aware there, there's a small chance the Bears' defender would have stopped him just short of the 1st down...5) Just a mention: I was confused a little and disappointed (probably because my heart was beating out of my chest) why the Eagles and Pederson ran it 2 times on 1st and 2nd down inside the 5, and I was afraid that would come back to bite them by not using their weapons on those downs...But I also understood Pederson's reasoning to take more time off the clock and force Chicago to use their timeouts, too. It seemed too risky though. But maybe Pederson knew Cohen was returning the kickoff if they scored...Anyway, luckily, Saint Nick had 2 more downs left and made the clutch 4th down pass to Tate.

3 things stood out tonight:
1) How important was Goedert? After being underwhelming this season, we couldn't have won this game without his incredible play and the attention he draws away from Ertz.
2) Tate was a critical pickup for the playoff success of this team. Excellent, especially for what we gave up to get him.
3) Wow, Doug manages the clock better than Reid ever did. With 1:10 left I told my brother that Dougi P was saving the last timeout to ice the kicker. Which, obviously, he did :). And it FRIGGIN WORKED. Incredible.
I smirk every time I watch this because I am a Vikings fan and the bears losing against us in the week 17 would’ve made us in the playoffs. Then they destroy us.

Always intense final minute(s) of an Eagles game, lot of times we don't make it easy, sure as hell isn't easy for us fans - but this..was just - unreal!! I wear an Apple watch and saw the log of my heartrate yesterday morning during this, jumping all over from 95-155bpm, It did dip to 85 just before the FG - thinking this was over, I was down, numb. The blocked FG spiked the BPM to 173 when Cody "DOINK'ED X 2" it.

Watching this again to remember just how impressive Trubisky was in the final minutes of this game. He took them down the field in under a minute with 1 timeout in the highest pressure situation of his life. Yeah it sucks that Parkey missed, but that gives hope for the coming season at the very least.

Foles looks so relaxed and I really like his decision making while in the pocket and scrambling, but with Wentz I always get nervous, he makes a few good plays but overall, he gets sacked or scrambles for a gain of a few yards or loss of a few yards.

When Parkey missed that game winning field goal attemp, he was SOooooooooooo HAPPY. Happy he didn't have to take a trip home with the team on a plane since the game was on their home field (Chicago), that flight would have been the longest EVER, I think he got THAT sigh of relief.
