This place is absolutely amazing. just like a little piece of heaven right here on earth. A hidden treasure in the middle of Delray Beach Florida. 75 different varieties of organic mangos and other exotic fruits. I can't wait for July to get here. We're going back for another visit!
Thanks for all the informative videos on grafting! One question on the dwarfing varieties- do you need to graft the dwarfing Julie onto a seedling and then graft the desired mango variety onto the Julie scion once it takes, or does a Julie seedling convey the grafting character fine even if it's not vegetative propagation?
I may have talked negatively before about an Australian variety mango called Calypso, I am wondering if you have tried it. I consider the Kensington pride mango better than the Calypso and I have a KP tree in my front yard. I remember seeing you top work a Valencia pride mango tree, so I figure a Calypso mango shouldn't make an appearance in your orchard. I thought the Valencia pride was a quality mango even better than my Kensington pride. Valencia pride are grown to some extent in the north of my state. I originally thought they were imported from America or Mexico, as I have often seen Tommy Atkins variety in some fruit and vegetable markets. I would be most interested in your impression of the main Aussie mango varieties Calypso, Kensington pride and R2E2. I realise they are not rated highly in the mango world, but would be most interested to know what you think of them. The Kensington pride is the best Australian variety from my perspective, but the fibre detracts from it.
Perhaps a small variety in a pot would be best. Even in Orlando mangos need a lot of cold protection. One of our customers is in Volusia County. He grows mangos in big pots and takes them into a garage/warehouse when it gets cold.
Picked up a 15 gallon Dwarf Hawaiian from Chris this December as a Christmas 🎄 gift for me. Lol😅😊😂
Just got my first bag of Dwarf Hawaiian from Truly Tropical yesterday. Loved it. Can't wait to go back.

We have only tasted 'Kensington Pride' mango and found it to be sweet, mild and pleasant flavored. It's similar to a 'Haden' mango.

I was not aware that it made its way to Indonesia.

In pots
Try Pickering. You can step it up to 25 gallon container over time.
