  • I thought I'd just upload a short clip from a flight from Methow Valley (s52) back to Renton (KRNT) today. It was a great day to fly except for the area over the North Cascades south of Glacier Peak. The Bolt Creek fire and a few others are generating a lot of smoke in the area up to about 11,000ft. The first half of this clip was at 14,000ft and the second half was at about 12,000ft.
    I'm working on a normal length video of a flight down to Hayward, CA. I hope to have it up soon!

    I imagine you could easily smell the smoke in the cockpit! Glad to see your plane is flying again!

      Yes it wasn't too bad above the smoke but nasty once you descended down into it. I pleaded with ATC to stay above 11,000ft for as long as they would let me 😃
