Bakers secret: Any chocolate anything will get a chocolate flavor boost from the smallest pinch of cinnamon. Just a teensy pinch will bring out more of the flavor. I learned this from my mother, who worked with a pastry chef when she was young. And I was a pastry chef for about 3 years and anything chocolate I made always had the tiniest pinch of cinnamon in it. You will not ever be able to detect it's flavor. Bon Appetit!

I must try that! I always add vanilla as that too will help the chocolate flavour 😊

I’m 59 years old and never made my own icing till this past weekend. I made a chocolate box cake and didn’t have a can of frosting in the house, so I figured I would try making some. I used your vanilla butter cream recipe and OMG, it was easy but was delicious! My family said that this was the best cake I ever made. Next time I’ll try the chocolate Butter cream. Thanks again.

p.s its way better when you mix by hand, with the eletric mixer it will over mix it. Not that im saying dont use the mixer go ahead, i just think she is over stating the truth.

Beautiful recipe🤗You mentioned salted or unsalted butter...I've tried both as well! I have to use more powered sugar when I use salted butter, So I can balance the salt in the butter! When I use unsalted butter, I use less sugar and I add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness...each of it's own. They both work! Also those who may need this frosting to hold up in warmer temperatures...You want to definitely add criso shortening! About 5 tablespoons to every stick of butter! I promise you the frosting will not slide! However you may need to add more milk so you can have a spreadable consistency! Just wanted to share my experience as a baker! Great video 🌷🌷Have an Amazing day💕💕

I actually did try this recipe and ended up with a not so pipe-able chocolate fudge frosting that was literally the best thing ever lol. Thank you for sharing this recipe. And if you any insight on what I might have done to get this tasty concoction please let me know 😁😁😁

This is such a great idea. I always made chocolate cream using butter and cocoa powder like you shared in the video. If I use melted chocolate, it takes so much time to beat and most of the time my cream gets too thin

My daughter's birthday is on Halloween and I always make a cake for her party. She's turning 10 this year and wants a Hello Kitty cake. I think this delectable frosting will be going in between the layers, along with some berry preserves for a nice surprise in the middle! Thank you for sharing this! I love your channel!

I have this problem, so I have to put it back in the fridge till I get it squidgy. I've not used a whisk attachment for buttercream before, so it will be interesting to see how easy it will be, when I make this, this arvo.

Just made this chocolate butter cream!! It’s amazing. Did a half batch cake recipe so I cut the frosting recipe by half and it worked perfectly. My butter wasn’t room temp so I microwaved on the defrost mode rotating every 5 seconds. One stock softened in 20 seconds. While I got a mise en place, I placed the stick of butter to cool slightly in the fridge. It was perfectly softened and not melted!!!
    I highly recommend this recipe!!!
