I like how he has a literal “crusade” of paladins for a party.
No one is talking about the quest. This quest to get the Seal of Marthyrdom its literally a way of talking about a cult of fallen Paladins, this may be the clue that we will have the opportunity to have a DK Arthas type of build in the future with the Paladin. Its fucking awesome man.
yeah I was thinking the same thing, exciting af lore wise and potentially gameplay wise too
yeah passphrase you read on the charred note probably hints at something like that too. "When one candle is snuffed out, another is lit" - could allude to you being able to turn your back on the light as a source of power and use something else instead
imagine if it connects to corrupted ashbringer. a side-build path like that would be such a sick "classic" addition to the game

@GameMageVideos Also, now the developers could end the Ashbringer quest that was planed to actually have the non corrupted version of it.
It’s nice to see Esfand enjoying the RP potential of the server. Most of the streamers that decided to play there could not care less about RP.

@@gaburierusan8179 a friend of mine said that on rp servers, people are likely to be more invested in the game and less likely to rage, leave groups, and generally less toxic.

Love the RP and how you immerse yourself into the game. Your excitement is contagious, and I have been enjoying SoD as well on Lone Wolf as a future warlock tank.
I never knew the potential of RP for Season of Discovery is soo perfect!

I am level 17 and so far have only found crusader strike....I must be doing something wrong lol

I'm level 12 I have 4 shaman runes but honestly not trying to go full out on runes until I hit 25. Just wanted a couple I liked to level with
I got the first lock one and omg is it awesome. It is instant cast dmg. Plus shadow dmg increase 20s then it finishes with a heal for the dmg caused. I don't think i need anything else until 25
@@brgmr211 it was me (sham) 2 locks then 2 others in rfc, lock damage is pretty strong right now low levels
I know it’s only a little over 1 day in; but of what I’ve seen so far, they’ve done this right.

They are defiantly going down the path of giving paladins the option of basically being death knight if the howling blast shown in the one season of mastery was not proof enough how exciting!
Howling blast was a troll from what it looked like but who knows what they will add!

@@jpani5953 howling blast I doubt it, but they could throw us for a twist with some runes we haven't seen or anything in later phases. Anything's possible. Feel like sod has had the biggest vanilla launch in a LONNNNNG time
@WetFarts94 I don't know man. After that and the "data mined" Path of Arthas rune I think they could give us some habilities DKish. Also, if I'm not wrong they said in the interview they liked the idea of more especialized sets. After this little quest I'm as hyped as when I knew wow man, Blizzard may be doing something right this time.
@@jpani5953 so far so good, but we haven't gotten to phase 1 cap yet for WPVP and BFD, as long as they get feedback and ACTUALLY listen the other phases will be smooth sailing besides some tweaks and what not for balanced

Esfand, big enjoyer of your content. Youre the one who made me pick up ret in vanilla again. So im in SoD and it looks like well be twisting SoC and SoM. Do you know of a good WA for vanilla twisting? I got one from Kaedin and I replaced TBC SoM with the SoD one, changed name and spell ID but the bar doesnt populate correctly. Any suggestions?

How dare Blizz give guilds the ability to be competitive without having 25 Warriors in the raid. Idk maybe I'm wrong, do you think Asmond is hating, lol! He would never be that petty, right?? Do I sense a little gatekeeping? The reason I'm saying is because I heard things said like " Nobody ask for Mages to heal" and "Nobody asked for Warlocks to tank". Just statements like that. I personally love what Blizz has come up with in this season. I think it took balls to do the things Blizzard has done here. If it fails it fails. I just want it to be given a chance. @@omegacon4 True, but in the spirit of "guide videos" where you talk about personal preference and the way "you" are playing, you should refrence macros and weakauras that come into play, to play the way you'r guide talkes about, i have played paladin for years and have my weakauras and macros, but if i wanted to try a different way it would be nice to have the foundation needed.

So how does that seal rotation work now? Never played pally before, no clue what's happening
Each seal has it's own unique effect when active such as:
• Righteousness adds holy damage to each weapon swing
• Crusader increases your attack speed but decreases the amount of damage of your attacks
• Command has a chance to add another weapon swing of 70% weapon damage
• Martyrdom adds 30% of your weapon damage as holy dmg but you also take a little damage and your party gains a little mana.
Casting Judgement with a seal active will consume the seal and in the process unleash a unique effect according to each seal. Most do extra damage, some apply a debuff to the mob. Etc.
Seals only last 30 seconds and judgement is not on the GCD so it is possible to cast both at the same time.
In classic you seal twist by changing your seal right before you are about to swing, and you will get the benefit of both seals being active for that swing. Esfand is seen twisting Seal of Martyrdom and Seal of Righteousness in this video.

Please Blizzard, let us have the 0.4 delay on Seal of Command. Those that do not like to play ret that way, can just not do it. But for those of us that love that rotation and the skill expression it gives those of us pushing the limits of what our class can do. Please blizzard, let us have that option.
You have given us the 0.4 sec delay on all the other offensive seals in the game. We, the community of Retribution Paladins, are begging you.

whats the significance of the .4 second delay?
@@Sercer25 it allows you to "seal twist". In TBC, Seal of Command would persist for 0.4s, so if you switched to Seal of Blood in that 0.4s window at the end your swing timer, your next attack would benefit from both seals.
What would Esfand do without his league of tools :D

I have to say, after seeing the cool quests for paladin you've done, it's really disappointing how underwhelming other classes are. I play shaman and it feels like zero effort was put into it.

For me Classic is only Vanilla. TBC and later innovations ruined the original gameplay.

Sod is exactly how I thought it would be. The new abilities are to powerful. Seen a mage face tank 4 mobs his level by healing and AoE. That’s not Classic WoW. Been having fun, but this is not Classic.
