    I love single oil tests. We used to do a single oil swap back in the day where a ton of soapers would make 10 different single oil soaps and then we'd ship them out to everyone to compare. It was alot of fun and a great learning tool.

    I like a 100% coconut oil soap, with a 20% or higher superfat - it makes a smooth, hard bar with no sodium lactate and it lathers so nicely.

      Sorry I'm new to soap making. Please can you tell me what is sodium lactate and why its a problem? Thanks!

    I didn’t see the AVOCADO OIL demonstration in the video🤔
    Wow! Thank you for doing this very informative video! I was surprised by the canola oils’ DOS, the soda ash on the Shea, and the accelerated trace of the coconut. This explains why some of my recipes behaved the way they did. I always love watching your information packed videos!!! THANK YOU!!!🙏🏻❤❤❤

    Loved this! Thank you. I make an olive oil only bar and it is wildly popular especially among people who are sensitive to so many ingredients normally found in soap. I am thinking about a bar with a couple oils. Just have been nervous to try them out when I am doing so well with my castile bar.

    I’ve made Olive, Coconut separately. Love them both. I recently tried 100% Shea. I really like this as well but the lather is low and creamy’ almost foamy. My skin felt amazing though. .

    I made 100% sunflower used cooking oil soap, it was very soft at first, but after a month it turns harder, I added tbs baking soda to improve cleansing. There was lather, but weak. I used it to clean bathroom, it was sticky, and was cleansing, but not as good as coconut oil soap... it is still soap though

    Would the more lotion-like oils be good for facial soaps? This was very cool to watch and honestly would be a good project for expired oils. Not for keeping, but at least for R&D purposes.

    Im new to soap making and I really enjoyed this video. I'm wondering, if you had to choose one of those bars of soap as hair conditioner, which one would you go for? One that does have reasonable lather but also leaves the hair moisturised and silky.

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  Месяц назад

      We wouldn't recommend any of these bars for haircare since they are not formulated to a lower pH. We do have two different shampoo bar recipes on our old blog. www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/cold-process-soap/invigorating-shampoo-bars/

      Since that isn’t an ingredient we carry and we haven’t worked with it before, we don’t have any expertise to share on how to use it. We’d recommend checking with the vendor or manufacturer for their recommendations. In the meantime we have some great how-to guides that we would recommend taking a look through: www.brambleberry.com/articles/how-to.
