- Key Largo, Florida: me ancient and I rented a boat to explore the tropical reefs of southern Florida and eat whatever exotic fish we could pull up from the reefs! Snapper, grouper, parrotfish, squirrelfish - no fish is safe!
Keep trying new things and leveling up in real life!

And my weekend is saved thank you ace, thank you me ancient. Sending prayers and love !

His dad has his own chanel
no need to worry, “me ancient” is featured in many videos quite often
@@olliebeaver898 really what is it called i didnt know that
@@thunderbolt2600 me ancient
When you anchor its always good to anchor in a clearing so not to damage the reef or any coral. Those spotted ones are a type of grouper and the redish one with the big eyes is a squirrel fish.
This is super important... Reef and coral damage could take a lifetime to recover from. Never anchor over a reef or coral its the boaters responsibility to find a clearing of sand.
Hey! I'm the gal from Dry Creek Outfitters that puts together your kits. I am not sure if you're aware, but we do have a deep sea line, called Mutiny Baits. I think you should test out a sample pack 😉
Always anchor in the sand clearings through out the reef Not actually on top of the reef!!
Love you ace you deserve everything. Just wanna say you have literally changed my life. In 2017 I had severe depression. I was honestly starting to think about ending my life. I know as a child of god that I just couldn’t do that. Then I found you. I started fishing in small lakes and ponds and then I remembered my dads old Yamaha boat. I got it out of the shed fixed it and I now make a living off of fishing and it is all because of you. I love you so much and I will always remember you till the day I die. Thanks ace.
This may be a dumb question but why did that sign say "please poke eyes"
When you clean a fish you poke the eyes so it’s won’t float on the surface of the water, and when you poke the eyes it releases air which lets it sink.
Good to see you guys back out on the water again! One love ✌🏼
This is crazy, I was in Florida in March this year and caught and saw every single fish in this video! I also bought that seasoning!
Hey Ace, I came to your channel through Zac Fowler and I've been really enjoying what I've been watching. You and your Dad (and your brother) have a really awesome relationship going down. I really like the way you guys say a prayer before you eat and show respect to the environment you make your videos in. Wishing you tight lines!
One more thing, I absolutely love it that you guys are Christian and pray and thank God for his provision for you :P There are not many out there that do. I enjoy seeing it and it is inspiring for those of us who can't really get out and do this kind of thing. I appreciate what you do.
Man it’s all ways a good day when ace posts. Any one else think that
I look forward to every one!
You know anchoring on the reef can cost you tens of thousands of dollars not a great idea
Everyone anchors the reef what are you taking about?
@@fishingaddicts4739 let marine patrol catch your anchor on the reef it's federally protected
Gonna be a great evening now! Thanks Ace!
You guys save my weekends it’s been a long day my mom doesn’t feel good so I’ve been helping my brother it’s good to just be able to sit down and watch y’all fish
what i enjoy the most out of these videos is the bond you and your father have.
A bond i wish i had with my father and a bond i look forward to having with my boys.
me & and my boys (5&6) enjoy your videos so much. keep up the good content.
3:08 that’s a strawberry grouper
Right in his sandy patch 🏖
You’re ruining the reef by throwing out that anchor use a trolling motor or the buoys they have set up
That blue fish you caught is a puddingwife wrasse instead of a parrotfish; parrotfish have beaks, while puddingwife wrasse have teeth. I believe it's also a reef fish that can only be taken alive for aquariums.
Now I have something to watching when I go to sleep thank you very much 💯🤟
As I sit here in the snowy Pennsylvania mountains I’ve gotta say I envy you, Ace. I very much wish I was in the Florida Keys right now.
But soon enough it’ll be opening day for trout here, I’m counting down the days to Fishmas, and watching your videos helps pass the time.
Sending prayers that you and your father continue living your best lives.
I’d love to see you guys collab with deermeatfordinner or bluegabe in Florida
Fish rules app, and you should've reached out to DMFD (Deer Meat For Dinner) or Blue Gabe for a colab. And you wouldn't need to look anything up. Great Vid guys. Also everglades fish n chicken is all ya need for your fish fry seasoning.
I'm glad u guys let the parrot fish go, they are very important to the reef. Good stuff!!
I love your videos and all the beautiful scenery.
I cant wait to go fishing like this
Hey ace! The fish you caught at 12:26 is a jack crevalle. They’re not good to eat but make fantastic shark bait. There are different species of jacks though. Yellow and Amoco jacks are great to eat!!!
it’s a blue runner
Nice of you to care about the Pelicans eating the spiney bones 🥺
Fish always tastes better when you catch it yourself! Looked delish!!
If anyone is wondering why the sign says to poke the eyes before throwing away the carcass, I googled so you don't have to: poking the eyes releases the gasses, this makes it so the fish sinks to the bottom and prevents them floating and attracting birds to the area
my father likes this youtuber since he respects god and i like this youtuber because he got a calming voice and makes really good content
The very second paps started praying before eating I instantly hit subscribe. Chill content, great video.
So awesome
Father and son both has an amazing vibe 👌🏽 father raised a good man
It's been years since i've watched this channel but I'm so glad to have found you again! I love your content and love the relationship you and your pops have!
that orange fish was a squirrel fish and These fish can be highly dangerous because these enough to kill the most dangerous opponent. The spines present on the upper side of the squirrel fish's body can cause several sharp, deep and highly painful wounds that do not heal quickly.
My dad surprised me with a fishing trip to the key west this spring. So excited! Gonna go reef fishing and maybe offshore or bone fishing! It looks so cool there I just can’t wait!
Sending prayers and good vibes your way, Ace! You’ve officially made my Monday nice lol. Love the good work, keep it up 👍
Man that water is beautiful 🥰🥰🥰🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
Hey ACE that fish with the really big eyes is called a squirrel fish. love the video!!! :)
You should come to norway. I’ll show you salmon fishing in a river
Next time drift fish with some live ballyhoo
A bit of clarification for anyone who wants to know, 3:08 is a very common species of grouper i cant remember the name of, 5:50 is called a boney marrian because it has sharp spines near its gills that can cut your hands when they start thrashing their head, they're very greedy and also quite common, 11:20 is a gar, though they dont get much bigger then that
Those grouper are called red hind or strawberry grouper and have no size limit and are very good eating
That’s where you’re wrong, they weren’t red hinds, considering they were speckled hind.
@@dubstep4890 speckled hind are a different species the nickname for the red hind is the strawberry grouper. Speckled hind are nicknamed kitty Mitchell’s
Nobody is going to believe what the blue fish been through if he tells his buddies
Ace, I'm a new subscriber and I just gotta say, your videos are incredible. I think I've consumed 12-15 hours of your content in just a couple days lol
You inspired me to start making RUclips videos. I just wanted to let you know I have watched almost all your videos and have slept to tons of them. You really helped me through a lot thank you ace.
spotted ones = strawberry grouper
You need to hook up with deer meat for dinner dude aka Robert
A few things for you guys. First tell your father watch his fingers when handling them mangrove snapper. They will literally try and snap you and they will put those 2 from teeth right through your finger nail. Also bring more chum and use a mesh bag with larger holes. In the keys the more chum the better. The farther back you cast in the chum slick is where the bigger snapper hang. Sorry one more thing, use a lot more leader (10-20 feet worth.) good luck and tight lines.
You're living the dream man, thanks for the content! Blessings from Missouri
5:54 Is a bigeye red fish or inagua. very tasty grilled or fried.
looks like a Longspine Squirrelfish to me
I've always wanted to go to the keys. That fish taco sauce is sooo good
Ace u have to go out for some snook and tarpon would love to see you get some
*Love your fishing videos! You inspired me to start my own fishing/hiking channel!*
back in the tropics let’s go!!!
In the Bahamas, we call those squirrelfish big eye johns 😂
Those grouper like fish with spots are strawberry grouper and they taste delicious
Bless you brother love you're videos I pray for many blessings, expansion to come you're way.
The awakening is here, revival is about to break out..... Praise Jesus
God made a wonderful earth with all kinds of interesting critters for us to enjoy. Every day I am amazed at the beauty of it all.
You man evolution made all these creatures.
Awesome team .
I thin’ the fish that has the big eyes is called a Squirrel Fish and it’s very poisonous
Amen to adding salt because it’s perceived as evil🤣🤣🤣 amen broski. If by chance you see this…. I’m starting a channel because of you so Thankyou for all the inspiration and keep up the good work ace! Also you got me praying over my food now a days! Glory to Jesus!

I like that boat , what’s the name of it
I love the way he calls his father me ancient 😂
the blue fish is dory
We need more videos of this to have a nice dinner
I’m pretty sure that blue fish was a young/small Bluefin Trevally, Parrotfish have beaks hence the “parrot”
if you go back it did have a beak
Definitely not a bluefin Trevally
No bluefin tee ally in Florida I haven’t watched that part yet but will give species when I see it
Can you say specifically where in Florida this is. Maybe tag the boat rental place
Next time keep the tail. It fries up nice and crispy.
Hey loved the video and livestream today thanks for makin my day !!
Key largo or Islamorada is one of my favorite fishing places you should try fishing for snook or tarpon keep up the great work.
HEY ACE!! Do you know what you should try!! MIX 1 or 2 EGGS AND 1/4 CUP OF MILK, THAN DIP YOUR fish in there & than dip in your batter so they would stick better!!! You’re welcome Ace!!!❕❕❕❕❕❕❕❕
Frrrrr
Hey ace could you make a playlist of all your saltwater fishing videos please? I love the saltwater content and love to listen to it while doing school!!
A bunch of those fish following the chum bag are Bermuda sea Chub. Most people consider them trash fish but I have eaten them when on a trip to Jamaica and I thought it was delicious.
I ate one of those for a member only video and it was delicious.
Aren't those" needle fish" also called long toms?? In Indonesia they use just cloth to catch them... no hooks at all.. they get tangled in the cloth abd won't let go
Keeps squirrel fish, throws away wrasse that was legal to keep because he thought it was a parrot fish
Ace me and my son love watching you fish. He always says when you get a fish. "He's a big one dad isn't he." All he wants is to fish. He could watch for hours. Thank you
He squirrel fish are poisonous, but there’s not enough poison to harm a human
Love your vids keep it up 😁
Those little needle fish is taste amazing with tempura breading, with a salt and pepper lime, but u have to take off the bones and cut in half
How the hell am I so early
The fish that hade the big eyes was a squirrel fish
The red one is a alaihi, don’t get poked by there Gil spike.. the fish around the bait bag is nenue and they are great eating. Raw and grilled
The water is beautiful!
The fish with the big eyes is a squirrel fish very sharp fins and poisonous but good to eat next time don’t touch him
Blackened Mangrove snapper in the best ever👍👍👍👍
That’s was so cool when you let’s the fish go and the camera go’s underwater wow so cool ❤️
In Jamaica we call those big eyed fish wench man good for making (fish tea) aka fish soup...
Mangrove snapper is probably my favorite but I did catch a nice mutton snapper once and out it on the grill whole within an hour from catching it. It was by far the best fish I have ever cooked in my life. Not sure if it was because of how fresh it was or if mutton snapper is just better. I need to try and catch a mangrove and eat it right away to find out.
I respect Ace for taking the time to look up the parrot fish and releasing it after finding out that they're not a keeper. Down here in Thailand parrot fish are an endangered and are protected by law. They are suppose to help get rid of the algaes growing on corals.
I was literally sweating watch you handle that squirrel fish!
why
@@nolansbored1073 I think they have super sharp scales.
@@usuduwj5685 i googled it not sharp scales but life tthreatening venom
man i would watch one of these every day, you visiting all these different states is just amazing. Maybe someting like Alaska would be cool
5:56 Was a squirrelfish and they have venomous spines - also not great for eating because of bones.
I love how you show us you praying before eating
Wonderful prayer, you guys are blessed!
Love ur vids and that water tho
your dad is dope af i miss my dad 😂
