Hey Raunaq, Just wanted to point out that the Art director Ajayan Chalissery said that everything beyond the fences of the guna cave were a set and VFX created by his team and Eggwhite VFX
I want to correct you on the fact that manjummal boys was shot in guna cave. The whole movie was a set made by the master art director Ajayan challiserry.
I was searching for the alternatives of Bollywood movies. So finally i have found the alternatives now. And i would also love to see the Malayalam Film Industry to make its place globally.
The three movies are on three different genres which make the month February every film enthusiasts, even the common audiences heaven. 1 . Premalu comes as a romantic comedy movie with basically millennial genz comedy , but it works out for every normal audience. The movies made me literally pass out from laughing, and the romance made me feel stuff. 2. Bramayugam is a mystery fantasy experimental movie, which I never thought would work out for this scale of audience. It is so much fun and fresh, and I am wonderstruck how much the man, the legendary actor, Mammootty amazes me each time. It's one of the best indian fantasy movie after tumbad for me. 3. Manjummal boys was something different. Other than being a great movie i am more amased about how it is a real life incident and the story of the selflessness. The artwork, the cinematography the direction acting etc was topnotch. But the main thing was how the movie gave a superhit romantic song a new meaning. The movie talks about friendship and they placed a frickin romantic song there. How did they make it work? Magic. Overall a great start for the year 2024. Special mention for the movie Malaikotta valiban which fell because of bad marketting. It was indeed a great movie and will be a milestone in the Indian film industry. Because of the daring approach. The movie is basically a comic book Specifically a Amar chitrakatha❤. And it does justice to the new genre. The only reason it failed was because it was majorly concieved as a mass masala movie but it wasn't.
Manjummal boys and premalu for love ❤️ and frndship 💕🥰 bremayugam somthng special.. theatre experience was fab🖤... Direction movie script and the perfomnce hats off..👏 🔥 3 charctrs in movie 🎥 its jst mind blowing.. waiting for next epic one "Goat life" prithwiraj and blessy ARR combo 🔥💎
Your observation of cinema in general is commendable..its never boring and always on point.. wishing you all the best on becoming one of the topmost reviewers very soon ❤
The Only thing the malyalam industry left is to crack ott or webseries world they are capable of creating a magical theatrical experience with their limited budgets so everyone knows that they can create wonders with their craft in silver screens and the industry is filled with wonderful writers and the top Malayalam actors are also very experimental if they get the right medium and with their great writers and actors they can easily create global level webseries
There could be many reasons, but the first and foremost reason is that they make movies for the Malayali audience which is intellectually different than rest of India. You can see that in their lifestyle, health system, education, politics, social awareness etc...
One thing I like about these films are stories, dialogues, acting are really good, and most simple stories are made into a film which other industry still not able to do, this is what making their industry films good.
Rightly said Malayalam audience and film makers are more story centric and the characters are relatable, though I am from Telangana, love watching good cinema and of course Malayalam cinema, respect to Mammoty sir and actor of great class and calibre. Star actors playing a negative character, reminds of Legendary Senior NTR garu who played characters of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna umpteen times has played characters of Ravana and Duryodhana during the peak of his career . I recommend you watch Sita Rama kalyanam , Sri Krishna Pandveyam and Dana Veera Shoora Karna.
Malaikottai Vaaliban was also a gem from Mollywood.Unfortunately Mohanlals fan following destroyed the movie.Rare instance when crazy fans can affect your work
Totally agree with you..with the fact that we the mallus pay a better tribute in this industry than any one else.Just because we started watching other state movies way before the pan India scene.
Funny fact: 4:33 it's a wrong statement. But I won't disclose why it's false, because it may affect your views on the movie.. but they did a fantastic job
All 3 movies are different and winners ine their own spectrum, a real time revival for mollywood just in a single month,Aavesham and Aadujeevitham coming up 😮

Correction. Manjummal boys is not the second film to be shot at Guna caves. There was another malayalam movie Shikkar (2010), a Mohanlal starrer, shot at Guna caves. Also, Manjummal Team created a set to shot the major portions.
They have cracked the recipe of story telling and film making, just need to learn how to sell them too. Manjummel Boys doing well in TN because of Guna connection, and Premalu in TL & AP for Hyderabad connection, Bramayugam is not only doing well its only in Mallu circles, while Telugu its getting bashed in reviews. North nobody has a clue apart from select reviewers and rare breed of non native Malayalam movie fans like me. That makes me Sad, The worst thing is when you have way superior product but dont know how to sell it. They made such awesome posters of Bramayugam, if they just did old school techniques of displaying one in Hoarding across major cities of India would have done the thing, I was just going around in Insta same will be the fate of movie also only on digital OTT.
@@SanithKK No its not the movies issue, people who have watched it, have enjoyed it even in North, except Telugu audiences, its that there is no Shows, it released in 15th Feb there was no other major releases on that week, still only one show in whole of Pune and Kolkata, hindi dubbed no news till date. As of today Bramayugam is out of theaters in Kolkata no shows available, "Hanu-Man" which release on 12th JAN !! still has one Hindi Dub Show running. Same thing happened with movie "2018", Kantara was available in every small town on its 2nd week itself after the hype of 1st weekend in all dubbed versions that was reason for its success not everyone connected with the movie, most audiences in North just ride the hype waves, you just too need to make it available near them at the right time.

Actually for Manjummal Boys they have not used the Guna caves entirely since its closed right now and its so much risk even if they get permission to use that location. They made the set of Guna cave near a warehouse at Ernakulam (Kochi) by digging separate 50 feet deep pits and designing the entire cave inside. You can watch interviews of Ajayan Challisery, Art Director explaining the entire process. Its a wonderful work of art!

If movies like these got the appreciation they deserved then the bollywood have been different.
We lost gems like these in search of Masal KJ movies.
This made me so proud because I was born in Kerala and love Malayalam movies
Hundreds of Malayalam movies are remade into other languages , especially into Hindi. This shows the quality of the content of these movies . As reading habits of new generation film makers is depreciating , may be in future this kind of quality one cannot expect from Malayalam
You missed one mindblowing piece while praising mammootty,
that is rorschah just go and watch it
Even the picture in the background gives me chills ❤️🔥🫣 #Mamooty
Great review, really proud of Malayalam industry atm!
Watched all the three films in big screen. Feeling proud of our industry and would like to be a part of it in the future. Also adding to the comment - our industry always try to potray our politics as well!
Hey Raunaq, Just wanted to point out that the Art director Ajayan Chalissery said that everything beyond the fences of the guna cave were a set and VFX created by his team and Eggwhite VFX
Ofcourse Malayalam movies are so realistic and full of emotions ❤
the best released malayalam movie is Aatam...world class screen play...feels sad no one talks about it
I want to correct you on the fact that manjummal boys was shot in guna cave. The whole movie was a set made by the master art director Ajayan challiserry.
Malayalees dont see their actors or politicians as demi-gods..
This is Pan India wave I was rooting for!
Movies rich in content doing good at the box office gives hope to aspiring filmmakers.
Extending my sincere gratitude towards you for introducing our filim industry . Love from kerala❤
Now Anchakkallakkokkan porattu also ruling the boxoffice.. Malayalam movies are its dream run continues...
Its simple...malayalam cinemas usually focus on the story not on the stars in itt
Your observation of cinema in general is commendable..its never boring and always on point.. wishing you all the best on becoming one of the topmost reviewers very soon ❤
Anneshippin Kandathum is also very solid movie
You missed out one out of the box movie named kaadhal.. wow everybody should watch it atleast once..a different realistic scenario
Im from tamil nadu im saying this not bcoz of this video, but malayalam cinema will be always world-class, period
Hoping that kathanar, arm or barroz do that this year
@@angrygamer6683lol no way with Barroz
Poachers already doing that...
Great analysys as usual. One other point is that Malayalam movies will have people from other languages talking that language in the native manner.
Hi, waiting for your tv and movie recommendations videos! Loved your those videos
There could be many reasons, but the first and foremost reason is that they make movies for the Malayali audience which is intellectually different than rest of India. You can see that in their lifestyle, health system, education, politics, social awareness etc...
The simplest answer of why Malayalam cinema is growing because we audience demands more all the time
Anveshipin Kandethum s also good.. Kindly watch
What a fab Feb ❤
Golden month for movie lovers..thanks to Malayalam film industry
"Aattam" also superb movie..
Please go through Goat life
😭.. it feels so good hearing this from non malayali❤❤
The last name Mangottil is obviously Malayali
May be its a small industry but we have so many milestone movies of malayalam cinemas❤️🔥🙌🏻
Malaikottai Vaaliban was also a gem from Mollywood.Unfortunately Mohanlals fan following destroyed the movie.Rare instance when crazy fans can affect your work
Lets not forget "Malaikotta valibam" and how much of visual and atistic treat it was❤
Ever Perfect review! Thank you❤
Totally agree with you..with the fact that we the mallus pay a better tribute in this industry than any one else.Just because we started watching other state movies way before the pan India scene.
Funny fact: 4:33 it's a wrong statement. But I won't disclose why it's false, because it may affect your views on the movie.. but they did a fantastic job
nice video. perfectly explained without make it complicated or boring.🤝
All 3 movies are different and winners ine their own spectrum, a real time revival for mollywood just in a single month,Aavesham and Aadujeevitham coming up 😮
Anweshippin kandethum is also a very good movie ,its an investigation story
5:44 on one say about U1 you are the only one say that U1 reference in premalu 🙂

😍😍😍😍
Empuraan also 🔥
Fun fact - The people they get into with the tug of war at the start is the real manjummal boys
They have better option like dune 2
People might be expecting like Kantara. But Bramayugam is dark, literally!
Typical Telgue audience like romance and action movie they never like movie like bramayugam but bramayugam
Is still a masterpiece
@HeimdallWR-if6ub Most of the Malayalam movies don't have the budget like Hombale. I think only OTT option for North India 😔
This year there was two more amazing movies from Malayalam industry which aren't equally praised because these three movies were a banger in their own rights!!! Chettans are going crazy man, giving us some absolute bonkers this 2024......
Malayalam doing movies based real life stories instead of fictional.. that's make special audience
Before Manjummel boys, Mohanlal's Shikari movie had its climax in guna cave.
In the last two days i watched Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya & Mukundan Unni Associates, wtf is this grounded story, realistic themes & extraordinary presentation.
True, it's happened only in Malayalam Cinema🫡🤞
Watch premalu and mannumal boys in theatre.....
Kids love Premalu , Men love Manjummal boys and LEGENDS Love Bramayugam.....
Anveshippin kandethum is also a great movie.. Tovino Thomas movie 🤩👍
I was waiting for your take on both Menjummel boys and Bramayugam. I find your voice with films very important and distinctive
80 percentage Malayalam movies are maded by core real🔥 life story! And it's completely packed with a real life messages not the unrealistic messages..💯✅
You missed Aneshippin kandethum, which is another brilliant movie released ....please watch that... don't miss it.
premalu and manjummel boys are ok movies with crowd pleasing elements and good technical stuff.Mallus shoudnt be salivating at the thought of their films being accepted outside their state as some kind of validation..Im more interested in the dynamism of this industry tht keeps churning out good cinema as BD did in his review of manjummel boys
Becoz Malayalam film industry have only dat much caliber to make such master piece movies...As a malayalee myself,, I can feel d story line ,cinematographer, director, actor, actress just beyond d imagination ...
you forgot about Rorschach..... One of Mamooty's best of the best.
