@@daivasjallencherry4335 and yet in-spite of consistently telling the common man’s story, without all of the embellishments aka sand-in-the-eyes-of-the-audience that Bollywood prides itself over, it’s movies from our little state that people who genuinely love good cinema are applauding. And to think that we’ve practically never stepped out of our state to promote any films, in fact the phenomenon of promotional interviews and press releases itself is very new to this state. And yet here we are. I’d much rather take pride in being the underdogs no one expected than be in everyone’s face screaming of how great we are. The money they collect wouldn’t be too bad to have though ngl 🥴
In an interview, Tovino Thomas talks about his conversation with director.. "Dude, we'll get paid or our work later.. Now let's make a good movie" They get creative to save producer's money. The actors maintain a good friendship among them, generally speaking.. Not only actors, everyone in the industry.. Actor sharafudheen talks about when he was a car salesman, he used to take his frnds to deliver cars, and those frnds are now renowned directors and actors.. Basically vibe is good. Thallumala was a great experience in theatre.. It reminded me what we r missing out in OTT
Nna than case kodu is the movie that visualising the reality of court procedure that also a well refference for students, that we couldn't see scenes like this any film in Indian film industry. No courtroom drama here.... So realistic presentation. Just like action hero biju portraying Police life.
Thallumala was a real entertainer, like you said there is no need for a solid story as the back bone of the move .The only objective is to entertain the audience and thallumala aced it.. It was one hell of a ride. Something that is expected only from the malayalam film industry.
Thallumaala didn't add animation credits for the animation studio which did the work, for the theatrical release or the Netflix release. Only after they posted their own credit reel, Thallumaala posted an apology, how many times did they miss to add credits. All animation credit to Kokkaachi Studios.
5:57 that's cool you found a similarity between Nna than case kodu and thondimuthalum dhriksakshyium, Not only the theif part , both the story itself takes place in Kasaragod, Which is not a widely explored place especially by mollywood, I think the colour grading really gave it away.

I think the reason is ppl can relate better when the film picturises normal day to day life of Indians. I see bollywood movies and it feels like non Indian in many aspects. Maybe the dressing maybe the body language maybe the sets the language the life shown etc etc... When i watch Malayalam and tamil movies it feels very relatable...the characters look like everyday ppl not some size zero model There is something like mother culture similar to mother tongue.
Now let's make a good movie"
They get creative to save producer's money.

ഓ രോമാഞ്ചം... നുമ്മ വേറെ ലെവലാണല്ലോ.😊😊
5:57 that's cool you found a similarity between Nna than case kodu and thondimuthalum dhriksakshyium,
Not only the theif part , both the story itself takes place in Kasaragod,
Which is not a widely explored place especially by mollywood,
I think the colour grading really gave it away.
Also Thallumaala
@@saurabhpola865 it take place in malappuram+ kannur right
Colour grading : No
Mexico filter: Yes 😬

Yes, Hollywood:Mexico

As a malayali i am very happy the recognition our movies are getting. But in my personal opinion I think we are way past our golden age of movies. The malayalam industry from 1980-2000 was a whole different level.
Malayalam classics 😘
Sheri aa jagathy chettan de comedy 🥲
True....almost ella type stories um aa timeline ill malayalam cinema yill cheythu kazhinju...!!
@@vishnuu2627 mohanlal and sreenivasan combo
This makes me sad now Dq fafa and all get recognisation becoz of social media but before them Mohanlal and Mammootty have done classic films . No one knows that they think now only Malayalam films is getting better no can bollywood or Kollywood or any other film industry can direct films like sadeyam and videyan a big nooooo .
Both movies watched in Theaters and I'm proud of it !!
are they still available in theatres?
@@heenatadvi4711 Available in Ott now, don't know about theater run
@@heenatadvi4711 yes 😊
Same here Sachin.
After 2015 Charlie Istarted to watch Malayalam movie and fall in love their work ❤
Im also of a big big fan of Malayalam cinema 😍😍
Fun fact...both of these gems released on the same day.
Thallumaala’s song lyrics and song situations are awesome. Especially Pathu Song and Najindaakku song. The lyrics are so good. Also Manavalan Thug and Ole Melody songs. Dubbed versions may not have the same amount of effort put in. Malayalam album of Thallumaala is 🔥 🔥 🔥
Quality of making.. Quality in script...Dare to experiment... And nevertheless the skill of an actor... Makes mollywood an amazing treat with productive entertainment house ...😍😍
I always thought that I am a movie freak but every time I see your video it's like a slap on my face and that slap will be like go watch the quality movie not some random boom boom bam bam movies 🔥. Thank you so much raunaq for instructing me to watch the good movies and am grateful for that.
I'm glad to suggest movies that I enjoyed n happy for people to discover new stuff but seriously, watch what you enjoy also...no need to put yourself down :)
@@RaunaqMangottill Have you ever seen an andrei tarkovsky film ?
When are you going to direct a movie bro ?
@@kameshwaran.v912 Next year or 2024 max to max
I have watched tarkovsky movies. What is your point?
Thallumaala is superb well written script and screenplay 😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥
We are happy that not only this films are made but also they are thriving success in the theatres.
Thallumaala is awesome film. The Climax fight in car and Wedding was simply Superb... Kudos to the technical Team
Malayalam film industry 😍
Editing of this movie is possibly the best thing I ve seen in Indian cinema
Watched both films in theatre and loved both of em💥💥💓
Gayathriee had only handful scenes but all those were powerful scenes!
"'Mollywood"'thats different ✨💎
hope you get to watch more malayalam hidden gems and review them :) 2 random recommendation: thoovanathumbikal, thanmatra.
appreciate the book stack (esp the little life) in the background ✋❤️
Tanmatra and the vanaprestram like 🥵🥵
As a Malayali I feel like giving you a kiss on hand bro for making me feel proud and understand this industry from a different angle.. Salute to you
Soo nice to hear malayalam cinema gettin all this praise..
Have you seen Premam? It's my favorite malayalam movie. Also I highly recommend you to watch every superhit movie of Fahad fazil. They're all masterpieces with great contents.
I think you are first time here 😂
@@akshayvijayan733 oh yeah I watched his video where talks about Fahad fasil, Premam and even being introduced to other great malayalam movies
I watched these films back to back in theatre. It was such an experience 😄.
Honestly speaking, I find films like Pushpa, RRR, and KGF torturous embarrassments. I know the huge amounts spent in making those movies and the huge popularity of them, but this is my personal opinion. To me these films are a masochist’s delight.
Finally someone read my mind.
Finally someone who shares my point of view!
Agree 💯 percent
They might not be epitome of cinema but the fact is we need such good commercial films to keep the industry and the other dependent economies running.
@@waynerooney5988 well said!!
Malayalam industry 🔥🔥🔥 quality matters 🔥🔥🔥
Android kunjappan my favorite, the sense of humor in the movie n Suraj's character 👍 👌 the way he moulds himself into it we cannot imagine anyone else doing that role n a message ...shocked to hear that Rathish came to chakochan before
Proud to be a malayali.habibi give like this more review 👍
Ranaq watch Pada if you haven't watched it. Another brilliant Malayalam film of this year .
The way that you have narrated the two films is just amazing 🔥
I guess you have started watching Malayalam movies recently... Malayalam movies have been phenomenal over several decades...there were stories that suited that era or beyond that...if you notice most of the national awards have been awarded to Malayalam movies and actors...
Best Part about Malayalam Cinema is that it steals the hearts of everyone just by it's storylines.
I'm so happy to see someone who is in to all these movies and giving all the old references ❣️❣️❣️💕💕💓
Ohhhhh🗿☕
Just One thing "The Malayalam Film Industry" just 💓
Even though it was non linear narrative it was easy to sort it out 😊
Movies are not just for story but are a visual art to teach the people something
The best analysis ever I watched about these two movies..! 👍
Thallumaala is not chain of fights. It’s Anthem of fights.
Maala is commonly used for chains and lockets women wear. But it also means song or anthem.
Both are gems for malayalam industry with its own fresh genre.Especially the comedy sequences at theatre was such an experience..
Malayalam movie makers are coming from different parts of the state who grown up and lived in there own mini culture in different districs across the state. That why Malayalam movie is best but the telungu and bollywood mostly form a circle of families making same kind of movies with little modifications or reamking from Malayalam and Tamil.
Supreme Sundar...The man behind the awesome stunts....
Watched both of these in theater on the same day!!!
This is such an underrated channel, my friend. You deserve WAY more subs and views than you have right now. Your insights are based on very impressive cinema knowledge. If only all reviewers had this sort of perspective and awareness of the medium.
On my drives from Coimbatore to Kochi several years back, I used to pass a Mangode Junction in Palakkad district. Is that where your surname derives from?
Thanks a lot for the kind words my friend...it's support like this that keeps me going♥️
Btw 'mangottil' is my house name and I'm not from palakkad, but my father's family is from Manjeri
The another fact is these 2 films released on the same date and two of the were massively celebrated in theatres.
Malayalam cinema is the epitome of stories and craziness with imperfect and weird ingredients. Tovinoooooooooooo man he always surprises me and the masculinity in kala is just the opposite of thallumalla yet the same man & i feel shine tom chako is soooo underrated . JUST WANTED MORE FROM THE MOVIE & gave me the taste of my favourite movie i.e F!#*t ©lub 🤫
Shreyas andi😆
Father's name A ndi...??
My surname is Andi
Fight club and thallumala aren't have the same taste
@@gauthamcj3964 they are in some way because if u see there was reference to fight club and also the fights in both movies are stylised of sorts but i get from where u are coming ....agree the storylines are different but i related with the fights from fight club to thallumalla
Malayalam industry was a masterpiece but 2022 only had few masterpeices ❤❤❤
Its always been there, people are taking notice after it started coming out in OTT
The second movie narration was really awesome! good analysis there!
Both these films are my personal favorites... 😍😍. Hats off for the efforts you took to analyse them both deeply.👏🏻👏🏻. Basically some audience felt like 'Nna Thaan Case Kodu' is a boring films because it does doesn't have any mass masala ingredients. But it was eye opening for me, yet a film filled with lot of Cute & intense moments. It is full of subtle comedy rather than hilarious ones. ❤️❤️😄
Awesome analysis bro - you have earned a subscriber.
Bollywood we are coming for you , like u guys said before south Indians, We Are United Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam film industries colloquially known as Tollywood, Kollywood, Sandalwood, and Mollywood ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥 we will show u guys the art of cinima, And Thankyou bro for your sincere courageous out put here were a lot of them are feared to speekup on the our industry

Aavasavyuham... Malayalam movie... Itz worth it... I want to see ur review
Nice video ❤. Its actually pronounced “ennnaa thaan case kodukku “ rather than “naa thaan case kodu”
Actually the Devi character Tamil speaking is OK cause we are OK with Tamil we understand it. The judge the person is actually an teacher in school I was surprised when I herd this.
I think the reason is ppl can relate better when the film picturises normal day to day life of Indians.
I see bollywood movies and it feels like non Indian in many aspects. Maybe the dressing maybe the body language maybe the sets the language the life shown etc etc...
When i watch Malayalam and tamil movies it feels very relatable...the characters look like everyday ppl not some size zero model
There is something like mother culture similar to mother tongue. Wherever u go mother culture is what u feel most related to.
Preach.
bro i also highly recomend "attention please" its insane
its directed by Jithin Issac Thomas
I have watched both the films and both of them were really good
I have watched thallumala it is so colorful and my favorite part was theater fight after watching this it increases your Egarness to fight😂😂
I liked this video so much, you really said many great points about these films, and the interesting point is that many of the audience didn't understood it from the film rather than enjoying the film . Keep going👍
