True... I am using WD40 for my Interceptor for more than 1 year... That is good but not as smooth as i used gear oil... So clean chain with Kerosene, use gear oil and WD40 ... works well smoooooooth ... Interceptor chain needs more lubrication

Hey Thanks, my man: I just got my new 250 dirt bike & it had an RK-Racing Chain(Japan) sprocket with ORings. Whenever I see my chain dirty, dusty, like a tar kind of thing. Actually, I gently take off all the germs from the chain then spray a wheel with a WD40(with cleansing with help of soft bath cloth), then at last end the cleaning job with a Chain Lube(sit there for a whole night.) before any ride.

I use a famous brand called (Cycle) they make black chain lube and I don’t recommend it. It is expensive and it collects dirt and sand from the road. Moreover, my new chain rusted in less than one week! And it made my front sprocket dirty and hard to clean. I was afraid to use WD-40 but I am definitely switching to It after watching this video, all your tips seems to magically work. My plan is to go with WD-40 degreaser after that I will use the regular WD-40 to lube the chain. Thank you so much i’m a big fan from Saudi Arabia ❤️

WD 40 is basically like kerosene and it can be used for cleaning.. Experiment conducted with o rings says it wont harm it. But for better precise lubricating effect we must use chain lube for sure.. WD 40 is ok for cleaning.. 😎 Based on lab test conducted on O RINGS....

Sir can you suggest any alternative for k&n air filter recharger oil it costs around 2000 rupees to buy k&n recharger oil but we can get a brand new k&n Air filter for 2000 to 5000 depending on bike. Some local mechanic suggested me to use 2 stroke engine oil which is poured with petrol in 2 stroke bikes but when I purchased it it feels heavier so i didn't dare to use because it damage my k&n Air filter and may bike performance may change. Can we use 90 Gear oil to lub the chain?, which keeps chain wet for longer duration and is also cheaper when compared to chain sprays which are costly and drys quickly
Gear oil attracts lots of dust particles and the dust mud paste will damage your chain. But in case your bike has chain cover, its good to go with gear oil

I clean and lube my motorcycle chain for every 400 to 500 km (for every full tank). It was a new motorcycle and firstly I started with diesel to clean and 90 gear oil to lube. Till 3500km it worked well. The only concern with gear oil is, it attracts all the dust and mud. Secondly, from there after, I tried to lube the chain with ROLON chain lube. It was ok but, from my experience, it is only good for less powdered bikes. Problem: increase in chain noise for powerful bikes. Thirdly, after watching this video, cleaned and lubed the chain with WD40. It's around 5.5k km and will see the result. Thank you buddy..!!
Some people always bang on about WD40 like it is the devils own product. I like it, it does not damage o-rings and if you use it regularly it can make a decent chain lube/cleaner.

But they don’t have any info behind the product. 2 years before even I was challenged that WD-40 will damage the oring. What about 20w40 oil suggested by some auto chain cleaner company which has brush and reservoir with lube that needs to be installed near rear sprocket is that suggested does it last long?
@@omkar712 but the disc to the right side and this chain cleaner brush sits left side on the sprocket..... Yes yes I think the lube throws it to the other side through the rims, yes possible. Thank you never thought of this.... Then it would be a mess and brake pads wouldn't work properly.

I work in automotive industry and wd40 is our best friend. God damn I've seen things magical things taking place before my eyes. It literally displaces rust to nothingwhen you spay like pee in an Ocean.

Technically WD40 is a lube. But then so is vegetable oil or vanaspati. Doesnt mean it is a good one. I dont think it will last as long as a conventional lube. Tried it and observed it myself.
