I just bought this video and this is one of the best money spent on dog training specifically leash training. I was one of the persons who used treats for achieving not being reactive to other dogs. But it did not lead me anywhere. So I started correcting my dog with snapping on the leash for the last 2 months and it felt like he didn’t care. Of course it didn’t do anything because the way I was correcting the dog was completely OFF. If you would like to correct your dog so the dog understands what you are looking from them then you should buy the video. Corrections help the dog understand faster and effectively than treats. That’s my opinion. For those who are looking for correcting the dog but you didn’t get any success then you should get this video.
I think I'll buy this. I've previously used instructions in a Winifred Gibson Strickland book, which I think are very good, 80s edition. Haven't got this new dog yet, but it's best to be prepared. So far I've only ever used a chain choke collar, but now I think a combined collar is good. I'd like to know why dogs, when heeling in Obedience, always have to keep their eyes on the trainer's face, heads up. It look awkward to me, and how can the dog see where he's going?
I hope you will add it to your video library. Dogs you see on RUclips that walk like a circus act are working for cookies and toys. My dog works for me and with me. They do look at me from time to time, and I pet them to build a bond with me, not with cookies or toys.
